Poor service and a worthless used car warranty.
I feel let down by both Station garage and Skoda. The used warranty’s appear not to be worth having.
In September I contacted station garage about a used car that was advertised. After what can only be described as a very poor sales experience I was going to simply go elsewhere. This original issues was resolved in parts but only after the owners intervened after these issues raised to management.
Upon delivery a few minor issues were noted but these were just forgive until water was found in one of the rear lights. I had to communicate this matter and after a long process, even having a damaged replacement light sent. This issue was eventually resolved but only by having to accept a used light from another car and me then finding someone to fit the part at my own expense.
Now 50 days into ownership a further water damaged light is noticed on the same area. This was flagged to the garage but I’m told that my 2 year extended warranty doesn’t cover this. The garage have declined to help and Skoda uk are unwilling to offer any goodwill to try and resolve this matter. This now leaves me with a car covered by the used car warranty, just out of manufacture warranty, but me with a bill likely to cost over £200 including fitting.
To add insult the garage have dragged this matter out making me wait over a week for any response to my questions initially raised.
I feel let down by station garage and Skoda. The used car warranty appears to have a number of get out clauses. My 2017 Fabia never had any of these issues and I should have either kept that or bought privately given the poor experience I’ve had. Unfortunately I can’t recommend neither the garage or Skoda at this point
