Good to know
We understand that passengers come with luggage, so we won’t charge you any extra for yours. Car passengers can bring as much as they can fit into their vehicles. And foot passengers can bring as much as they can carry, so long as no single piece of luggage is over 23kg in weight. That makes packing a whole lot easier!

I have to say Stena line customer service is some of the best I have ever had, especially from a big company. Never had a bad experience with them, for years. We have spoken to them twice resently, one thing was not actually really a Stena issue, as it was an EU change of regulation about travelling with EU passported dogs, as an EU citizen living in the UK. The port office were really friendly, helpfull and extremelly knowlegable. I wish I had rung them first, rather spending hours on-line and ringing consulates, who were useless, no clueless actually. The second time we rung, it took less than 2 minutes, to get through, to change the car on the booking. No hassle, no fee and extremelly friendly. Others could certainly learn from Stena.

I am afraid it's only 1 star.
Journey to Dublin was fine, if not a bit tedious leaving the ferry.
We went to a concert & at 10.10pm i received a text to say that our 4.30am ferry had been cancelled. I was advised to rebook or call. Lines closed at 10pm & the Saturday ferry's were all fully booked! We ended up getting a flight home as the next available ferry was Sunday afternoon!
These things happen I know but as per it's always the mop up that's the issue!

Switched routes for the return journey home, going from Belfast to Liverpool rather than the normal return journey we take from Dublin to Holyhead. From the moment we arrived at the Belfast terminal, everything worked out perfectly from receiving our tickets to being escorted on the ferry with my disabled Mum, we were given access to the lift from our car. The overnight cabin was clean and very comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep. We woke to arriving back in Birkenhead on time with no fuss. We got off the ferry and drove straight through with no stoppages. A wonderful, pleasant journey with Stena Ferries and as frequent uses of the Stena Ferries to Ireland, we are definitely going to use the Birkenhead overnight Stena ferries to Belfast and Belfast to Birkenhead for our overnight trip. I’m a loyalty user of Stena Ferries and would highly recommend their superb ferry service to Ireland.

Staff all around the port and the ship were very welcoming. They also timed their advice and directions to help with the immediate task facing me. Really enjoyed both journeys.

The sailings were on time and ran to timetable a plus point.
The seating areas are not comfortable and in particular the Stena + lounge was very cold.

From Fishguard found the ship not up the standard previoulsy experienced. Found the border force on boarding unhelpful. So much so that we cahnged our return journey to Dublin/Holyhead. Over all Stena standards have slipped and would sight no tea making and coffee facliates in pet cabins only one can of water no puppy pads in cabins all of which was provided on previous ships. Will consider other alternatives in futire but definitely will not be using Fishgauurd Rosslare service

Booking was straightforward & simple….getting car on & off was so easy as well. I booked a cabin on the way home to get a sleep & the cabin was spotless & very quiet, so I had a great sleep. Can’t fault my trip in anyway.

Cabin plumbing in the outbound trip wasn't working. Broke twice. Return trip no issues. Overall a good trip hence the 4 stars.

Used the express loading, booked lunch and the reserved lounge area.
Express boarding: fab. Great help, very efficient.
Lounge: worth the extra cost. Quite relaxing and very welcoming.
Lunch/food. Very disappointing. Makes no allowance for gluten free diet. No gluten free sandwiches or bread etc to be had. Told that they don’t cater at all for special diets. One suspects it is possibly boarding on discrimination.

I booked a cabin for some piece and quiet. It cost me £90 for the cabin almost £30 per hour.
There was no tea bags in the cabin and i got no piece at all. Kids running up and doen the corridor and screaming kids onlt 2 cabins away.
I got no sleep at all and will. I left more stressed than i arrived.
Hotel rooms are cheaper. Never again
