Ordered a Single "Samson" Pine Bed. Arrived on time and well packaged. Driver very helpful. Product well made and durable with assembly instructions easy to follow. A good British made product.

The bed is amazing quality,such good value. The communication from the company was amazing too. Highly recommend.

Have only unpacked and made one of the beds so far, but they arrived extremely well packaged and looked after. No dents or rips that we become accustomed to when receiving a delivery.
The product itself is brilliant, 100% top quality and you can tell it’s been made with care. Not rushed like the usual mass production stuff. You really get what you paid for.

An excellent product and excellent customer service. The bunk bed was easy to put together. Very solid and very well made. I had a small issue with the length of the side panel and it was dealt with very quickly by customer service and a replacement sent out by courier. I have no qualms in recommending this company.

I bought the Eldon 2ft 6 single bed 'short' length bunk in early 2023 for my daughter, to create extra space in a small bedroom. I've waited until now to write a review because I think an item like this has to be tested over time to get an idea of quality. At the time everything was great with the purchase and delivery and I was kept up to date. The item arrived in good condition and my husband put it together without any difficulty. We chose the plain wood version and painted it purple prior to assembling it, and it looked good after two coats. All in all I'm very happy with this bed. It is a good solution for a small room because of the amount of space created underneath the bunk. It was also great to find a short bed that would fit in the room as a normal single would have been too long. The quality is good and I have no worries at all about my daughter's safety up in the bunk. I also thought it was a fair price for the item.

I ordered a bunk bed after lots of research as I wanted a heavy duty one that could take the weight of an adult,I'm not disappointed, this bed is extremely solid and sturdy. the delivery was efficient and plenty of communications notifying me of time and date, the quality is brilliant, easy to construct and I'm so pleased with the finished product. I would highly recommend this bed to anyone who wants a quality product and excellent service. (it smells amazing too)

As my children have grown bigger, we've bought 6 beds from Strictly Beds & Bunks, and have previously always found them to be sturdy and reliable beds. We particularly liked the fact that the smaller singles were heavy-duty enough to take the weight of an adult, as our children often needed a parent in bed with them.

However, the last 2 or 3 beds have been a NIGHTMARE to assemble. I think it's especially the loft beds. It's actually quite a straightforward assembly, if you can figure out the really badly written instructions.

The wooden parts list doesn't have any pictures and only a couple of the pieces are labelled, so it's sometimes difficult to know which part is which.
The instruction booklets cover more than one model of bed, so the photos aren't always helpful. On the bed I bought most recently (Eldon single), the measurements given for attaching the ladder hooks were way off, so I had to detach it and reattach it 15mm lower! The instructions didn't mention when to attach the front (long) side rail, only the rear one, so I had to guess. It wasn't clear which screws to use for assembling the ladder, so I guessed. An instruction to screw black screws through the back of the side rail into the back of the ladder strut to fix it to the bed proved impossible because there is a metal ladder hook between the side rail and the timber of the long ladder strut!
But by far the most frustrating issue this time (which has also been a problem in the past) was the quality of the 90mm Confirmat bolts, when trying to screw them into the intentionally small holes in the side rails and support brace and headboard facias. The heads just kept stripping as they got tight. 6 times, we found ourselves unable to tighten or loosen a screw because the screw head had stripped and the allen key would just spin without grip. We ended up having to remove stripped screws with pliers. There were a couple of spare screws, but not 6! Thankfully better quality screws were available at the DIY store, but for a company that seems to make really good, solid, strong timber beds, you'd not expect to have to go out and buy stronger screws.

This was also the first time we've had several timber parts with tear out on the sawn ends.

Now that the bed is assembled, we're as pleased as we always have been with our previous ones, which kept us coming back, but I would love for the company to actually witness a lay customer trying to assemble this bed, so they might see how bad the instructions and the confirmat screws are.

Easy to use service well set out

We ordered a small single bed with mattress and storage drawers for our daughter’s bedroom. Her bedroom is very small and this bed fits in perfectly. The drawers provide excellent storage for her toys. This has made her room feel not such as squeeze as it could have done with a regular single bed.

The wood is a good quality and we like the natural wood look so have left it unpainted, with the option of painting it at a later date if our daughter decides she wants to.

The bed feels solid and not at all wobbly or flimsy. The mattress feels comfortable for our daughter who is small and light, but it may not be suitable for adults as it looks like it sags slightly when a heavier person sits on the edge (we went for the cheapest option as it suited our needs more than the other options). If it gets uncomfortable for her then there is the option to purchase a higher quality one. She has been sleeping on it for 4 months now and there have been no complaints.

The bed was reasonably easy to put together. There were some fixings missing in the delivery. Customer services were helpful and sent the missing items out without quibble.

Communication with the company was good with regular email updates. There were a lot of emails, but this was definitely preferable to none at all.

All in all would highly recommend this company and their products. The price of the bed, mattress and drawers was the best value we found after looking at a lot of different online sellers.

Bed came promptly with many updates on timings. The finished product is beautiful and so much classier than it looks on the photos. The slightly unusual sizing options were perfect for my son’s box room and we can now read in bed together despite the room not being quite big enough for a queen sized bed. The smell of the pine is divine. Really delighted with our purchase. Super great quality. Would definitely recommend.

Bed is very sturdy, but that's all I can say about it. Good quality wood, but roughly sawn and not sanded, with splinters and rough holes catching clothing and fluff. Paid £100 extra for grey paint - they did one slipshod coat of paint with poor coverage, and didn't bother painting any of the slats you can clearly see under the top bunk. Worst still, they painted over much of the colour coding, which made their already awful instructions virtually impossible to follow. As a result, it took 4 hours to put the bed up which, as a single female, I had to pay a tradesman extra for (he was seriously unimpressed with the bunk beds). Their customer service attitude is shocking, their website is inconsistent with consumer law (screenshot and reported). Basically they expect you to pay to return the product yourself even if it is of unsatisfactory quality for the price. I won't be buying from them again, which is a shame because they have the makings of a quality British built product, but can't be bothered with a decent finish or customer experience. £400 for bunk beds is higher end, the product unfortunately isn't. I have many photos in full support.

Further to the above review, they also stuck FOUR stickers with unnecessary text on FOUR of the pieces of wood which were very difficult to get off - I had to wet them and then scrape them off with a paint scraper, damaging the already shoddy paint job even further.

Really well priced, sturdy bed. Being on the larger side, I really needed something that I felt comfortable in. This bed is incredibly sturdy and easy to put together. The communication regarding delivery was very good and the delivery driver was extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant beds, I originally bought a secondhand bed which is fantastic so got another for another one of my kids, well made and simple to put together once you get to grips with the instructions and parts. Amazing quality and will definitely buy again if I need. Thank you

Professional Company

From ordering a high rise short length bunk bed to delivery, I was kept updated every step of the way. Even able to track the delivery driver who rang to say he was approximately 20mins away. Customer service was excellent. Did not put the bed together ourselves so can't comment on how good the instructions were. Paid a handyman to put it together.

Communication from point of ordering through to delivery excellent.

Delivery itself also excellent, thoughtful driver.

I couldn't build the bed in the order shown in the very thorough instructions due to the very tight confines where the bed was going, but the instructions were so clear that that didn't matter. Bed appears very sturdy.
