I have been recommending these doors for the first few years however I recently reached out to Stronghold Doors regarding several issues with a metal door I had installed a few years ago, and my experience has been incredibly disappointing.

Initially, I noticed rusting on the knocker and key panels. When I contacted them about this issue, their response was dismissive, stating that there was nothing they could do. I certainly didn’t expect rust on a door I paid a significant amount for.

More concerning was the door’s lack of waterproofing. After multiple discussions, the manager mentioned he would send someone to investigate the problem. However, he later retracted that statement, insisting there was nothing they could do, even after I provided photo evidence of the issue.

Additionally, they charged me for a service call to fix a panel that had come off. This fee supposedly included resealing around the door and greasing the locks. However, they claim that addressing the water issue is a separate matter, for which they want to charge me again. It’s hard to believe that waterproofing isn't considered a basic requirement for a door!

Overall, my experience with Stronghold Doors has been frustrating and unsatisfactory. Their lack of support and refusal to take responsibility for their product is alarming. I would advise anyone considering their services to think twice. My experience leads me to believe they may not prioritize long-term customer care and could be deemed rogue traders. Stay away!

I can endorse what others have said, the door is excellent and we both feel it has added a level of security we didn't have in the past.

The fitters did a removal and refit on one day, subject to some snagging, which is not unexpected in a job of this type. We did have some damage to external pointing, but I cannot hold them responsible and it was a simple repair after the event.

We did have a couple of issues which will probably be very specific to us. My wife being in a wheelchair meant that we had to have a flat entry / exit and initially the stainless plate - somewhere in the process this plate came up short so the rubber seal wasn't doing it's job - been fixed now but it seemed an unusual error on an expensive job. The other was that we have an entryphone system, which wasn't correctly reinstalled - I had to arrange for a separate electrician to repair the work, albeit Stronghold did cover the costs after the event.

So, great product, a few hiccups with the fitters, all now resolved.

Beautiful door - easy and straightforward process. We were recommended the company by our building contractors and Stronghold Security Doors didn’t disappoint. The quality of the product is amazing, with hardly any competitor on the market delivering similar product. Door design is fully customised, communication is great pre- and post-installation. We hope to enjoy this door for many years to come.

We got our front door from Stronghold. Our contact was Vilius, he was very professional, answered all our queries patiently, and did things he promised on time, which is what we expect from a trustworthy vendor.

We really liked the door, it looks beautiful, the quality is great. The works men fitted the door smoothly. We needed to address some small issues and Vilius organised it timely, and delivered everything they promised. We are very happy with the purchase.

We now feel much more secure. After an attempted burglary we were looking for added protection for our home and Stronghold appeared to fit the bill. We dealt primarily with Ugnius who answered all our queries, provided excellent support and led us to a good solution. The survey was pain free (lots of colours to choose from!) and the installation, although delayed because of a factory issue, was also conducted without fuss, with courtesy and with a smile. Our new front door looks very good and, although we hope it will never be tested, will hopefully deter anyone who might be minded to force entry. We are very happy.

Communication was excellent and all our enquiries were answered promptly. Great installation by the team of an excellent quality product. We recently had Stronghold back for a maintenance visit, recommended every year or two, which is well worth scheduling as it has made the door feel like new again. We regularly receive many compliments, including a neighbour who also ordered their door with Stronghold recently and our builder - who is very particular! Would highly recommend this company. Great service very professional filters did a great job I'm very impressed

We hired Stronghold last year for a new door as part of our home extension and renovation. Vilinius was our main contact who guided us expertly through the design process. He was very patient as we took our time deciding on the perfect door. Vilinius also clearly set our expectations that there would be a 10 week lead time for manufacturing, which we were willing to wait for.
Communication was consistent - Vilinius kept us informed along the way and gave us advance notice of the installation date. The installation crew arrived right on schedule, did a clean professional job, and even helped us install our new mailbox which was appreciated.
The door looks fantastic and we're very pleased with the quality so far, although it's still quite new. Stronghold's products are premium and therefore pricey, but their service made it worthwhile.
We would recommend Stronghold to others, just be prepared for some delays in getting your final product. But the end result is worth the wait!

Reached out last year as I spend a lot of time away from home and because my house is on a main thoroughfare, wanted to future proof security at home.
The design service was very good and the order placing process smooth.
There was some delays in getting the door finalised due to Christmas breaks and a problem with the CNC equipment in the factory, but I was not concerned by that, as the communications and expectations management was very good.
The day of fitting arrived and the 2 guys turned up on time, took the old door off quickly and then meticulously fitted the new door. They did an excellent job in cleaning up and making sure the door and new step was fitted perfectly. They completed the job in a few hours and were very friendly and helpful.
Overall, I am extremely pleased and all the compliments from visitors very complimentary! Thanks to the team, great work.

Great quality product. Rip out & install were done quickly and efficiently and with great respect to the house and to us. Very friendly team who was always available. We had a few hiccups, which is why the 4 out of 5, but what I appreciated was the level of customer service. The project manager was always on hand and available and ensured to quickly resolve matters at hand. I would fully recommend their services.

Vilnius was very helpful throughout the process of designing and getting the door fitted . He ensured a smooth experience from start to completion of the project. The quality of the work was excellent. The door has been a talking point for all have seen it. It really is quite a substantial bit of kit. If security is important to you then get one of these doors.

We came across the company in Grand design and ordered our main door from them. The initial install took a long time though they claim to have their own production. Within a couple of weeks of install the door had become very hard and difficult to open. A maintenance team was sent who fixed the issue. In the winter season we have observed drafts around making the entrance very cold. Additionally we have been chasing up for an installation certificate as per regulations for many many months. The initial response was we have requested for it and should be received in a couple of weeks and many months later we still have got nothing. No one from the company has communicated to us around the request for a long time now. Not satisfied with the product and the service after the exorbitant prices charged. After a long patient wait, finally putting up this review so others can reconsider before placing order with them.

The door might still look good and strong after a few years , but it is all in appearance. Each winter the draught is here to remind us how the door was poorly fitted. As for their so called security keys , they can be reproduced in any reputable local locksmiths without any questions asked which defies the purpose of a security door. The honesty of the owners was as well tested when they swapped the original cylinder to a lower range one pretending it to be the same security level. I am now considering replacing the door for one from a local trusted company which has nearly 100 years of good reputation. Don’t look at saving a few quids and choose a door from a reputable company to save you years of misery.
