I was advised by the manager I would get a pro rata refund and that was over a month ago and still no refund, no reply and dont answer the phone and now i have taken it further as a complaint to the underwritter and see what happens if not il go to the financial ombudsman, avoid this company at all costs
Avoid, everyone I dealt with for insurance left and now they don't respond to email.
Paid for insurance and didn't see the email requesting pic of my car before the insurance becomes valid. So I've emailed twice to ask when the refund was done and they just don't reply to anything. I'm going to do a charge back to my credit card.

What I thought was a reputable company turns out to be useless. Paid for scratch and dent insurance on my new car. 3 months in I had cause to make a claim. Their response was awful. Gave up. 9 months later and they have the cheek to ask about a renewal.

Terrible experience from stubbenedge never take breakdown cover worst company ever I broke down called 24 hours breakdown numbers they said I am not active in the system I have paid full amount for one year nightmare I have to call a taxi back home I went the very difficult time plz stay way
I’m a driving instructor, so breakdown recovery cover is very important to me. I took the all singing and dancing cover out with Stubbenedge specifically for driving instructors.
I broke down today 09/04/24 at 7:30am. I rang the number which got me through to a company called breakdown assist. Having spent twenty minutes constantly repeating the same information, the “assistant” “Brandon” cut me off. I rang again and spoke to “Kelly” another twenty minutes of answering the same questions, I was told they had “never heard of Stubbenedge”. I managed to find another number hidden in the policy documentation. I rang that number, I got directly through to Stubbenedge, he confirmed that my policy was active and he rang “breakdown assist” himself and patched me into the call. What happened next was farcical. Breakdown assist told him that Stubbenedge is not recognised on their system, the guy from Stubbenedge insisted it was, the supervisor from Breakdown assist confirmed that Stubbenedge is not a company they have heard of. At this point I was booted out of the conference call. I then decided to book a private recovery truck to tow me in and foot the bill myself. I have asked for a full refund of my breakdown policy, Stubbenedge have refused this, instead offering me a partial refund. Please stay away from Stubbenedge. At best 1/10 because the second guy at least was polite.
Hi I bought recovery breakdown cover from this company and I had a breakdown at M3 in a summer then I called recovery claim held line which they provided and they are call assist a company name they call handler and provide breakdown but they said we couldn't find you in our system you are not in our system and they didn't recovered me I was stuck there from 12 o'clock to evening seven o'clock I called national highway authority also that I'm here they say you have to get your recovery we are just here to advise you for your safety I spent £400 to come home because I called a and they charge me one call out charge because I'm not member with them £150 then they dropped me at safe place and after if I want to go from there to home a charging me four pound 50 pence a mile and that's too much because almost I am 60 miles away from home so I called local recovery who charged me to 230 pounds and I told this whole to stubborn age and until now they didn't provide me my claim my compensation which I paid to come home on that day when I calling them the customer assistance name is the lady Ashley from stubborn age always speaking very very nicely like she's taking care of very good way an end of there's nothing not responsing anything just talking nicely and say I will handle everything for you every day for you this very quickly and after nothing they told us is to pay compensation and call assist said that's not our fault because your company didn't provide us your information so you have to get from your company they both doing like this and not paying me any compensation call assist also number one rubbish called handler even recently before two weeks also I had breakdown and they provided me recovery after five six hours Sion requesting to everyone don't deal or don't do any business or don't buy anything from stubborn age and call assist they both number one doji and rubbish companies because I knew how I stucked at M3 from 12 o'clock to evening seven o'clock in that summer in the car be careful I'm requesting don't buy or don't deal or don't do any business with this company thank you
Very bad experience. Been with them for more than a year and claimed for scratch and dent insurance, straight away denied my insurance without asking for more details from me. And the process to reclaim is really very poor and makes it very difficult. Their portal is terrible and doesn't allow to update the claim as most of the time, the status is either inactive or expired even though direct debit is set up and they take a premium each month. I would advise staying away from them, complete ridiculous throw away of money.
I had scratch and dent insurance from StubbenEdge and was glad I did. This has saved me considerable amounts following the two scratches on my Renault Kadjar. The claim process was quick and pain-free. Huge thanks to Tom Cruz for making the claim process so easy.
