Sunexpress website is very unstable. Sunexpress should improve it. I had to book flight using phone App. Sun Express please tweak Baggage section when users book a ticket. It becomes extremely confusing. When you don't require to Add any excess kg to either Hand or Checked baggage, then next confirmation screen reads "Do you really want to proceed without Baggage?" It's very unclear Sunexpress. So you go back in a loop to check it again, thinking you didn't confirm initial baggage allowance included in your ticket type, eg mine was SunEco+ which included the standard amount permitted on the ticket!

Terrible customer service. Check in online hardely works. Charged 80€ extra for bag that was already includes. Avoid if possible.

Looks like a running theme with this airline canceling flights, this cancellation caused significant stress as my travel plans were severely disrupted, forcing me to find an alternative flight, Not only was this incredibly inconvenient, but it also resulted in substantial additional expenses. I had to pay significantly more for a new flight to reach my destination. After contacting this company no compensation was given for the additonal expenses

On 8th april we was due to get the flight back to Leeds from Antalya (AYT with airline sun express at 8:25am the sign said go to the gate which we did but there wanted to do give security checks this been the 3rd one had to go through where there also grab private areas even with my 12 year old son ! Than didnt seem to broad us on the plane and just left us there for hour and 20 minutes while there did each single check on everyone which also including emptying your full back packs to be checked we was left room near big window really hot and felt like there was no air the room everyone was saying how hot it was even my sons face was dripping in sweat ! Than unfortunately I than fainted from the heat when I woke up other passengers was helping me no staff I was told when there asked staff for help that there said I dont know what to do and left me , after about 10 minutes i was fine and finally going the plane soon that fresh air hit felt amazing but than has im about to go onto the plane i get stopped and told to sit in a wheel chair im sat there 20 minutes while everyone getting on the plane and everytime I ask whats happening I get told I dont know finally someone says a doctor is coming , doctor comes sees me and asks if I wanted to go to hospital or not I tell them im fine it was just to hot and I really need to get on this plane I than get told well I will need to sign everything which I did so me and my son try to get on the plane told no ! Again I ask whats happening im getting told I dont know there all talking different language and me and my son just scared because we dont know whats happening , than this bloke says follow me I ask again whats happening still getting told nothing hes keeps stopping to talk to different staff and there laughing at us after a over a hour im starting to get really upset and begging for him as hes just making us walk all round the airport with him not telling us a thing in the end all that turns out was to return my cigs because I now wasn't allowed them ! So I wasnt well enough to sit on a plane with aircon where I could of rested I get made to walk round the airport for ages in a right mess because no one will help or tell me what's going on , which returning the cigs he told my son to wait with security and me come with him so I did i come back no security with him hes with a random lady crying his eyes out because he didnt know what to do with his self and all this got way to much for him no security helping what so ever again its a passager! , we than finally get our luggage back apparently was given to lost and found than I notice one them is all broke and smashed in all at the bottom wheels ,hours gone by this point still getting told dont know every time ask a question . Finally we get to talk to sun express who say there can look at other flights for a price as its my own fault for getting ill not theres I said but you left me in a hot room all that time was the heat and i was fine time of flying I than get told theres no flights to Leeds for days and only one is Bristol which is £580 I didnt even have that kind of money left i was in such a mess and no one cared or helped me i said can you hold it for me while I just make a call to sort money out and in the mean time she said see what the manager says as he dont speak English but she will talk to him , I lend the money off my mum and dad and go back to buy the tickets I than get told shes been told by the manager doctor didnt give permission for me to fly and I have to go to the doctors office and get a sick note and pay for it I than go there and get told there dont do them anymore and he can get me to a hospital for tests than there give a sick note , I cried to the doctor I told him about how long there had us waiting in the hot room and I felt fine after only thing making me ill is the stress of all of this he than tells me it was the captain didnt want me on and to book with a different airline as there wont be aware what happen so I booked with jet 2 and no issues what so ever and got home but if I could do that anyway why not just let me fly home ? Why give me no support or even a simple just letting me know whats happening, when my son broke down in tears and all this stress making him feel ill all the guy cared about was we was no longer following him , this was such a awful experience which than cost me 520 for jet 2 than because was Bristol I had to get a train than I had to jump on another train to Manchester where finally someone could pick us up from all more costs . Why did the staff seem to think was all funny? My son been struggling with mental health this holiday was meant to be a big help for him instead me and him both come home traumatised!!!

First time going with Sun express. Unable to check in online, so annoying and time consuming. Then to ring and to get help was long! Lucikly they were able to check me and my family online via their system once they made me again for the now tenth time do the process again then they establishedthe website is having issues! So, I didn't have to pay the fee at the airport. On way back from my holiday tried checking in again, same thing! This time the agent was not willing to stay on call like previous one just incase there was a error, so I had to ring back again to inform them that website still having error! Wasted my last day at resort sorting this out and stressed me out a day before heading out when should have been a easy process like other airlines. Will not be flying out with sun express again and definitely would not recommend as the excitement decreases with this added stress!

Unable to book luggage when checking in- the option is not existent ! The chat bot is useless, not connecting to human, the phone lines are useless in roaming!

Fantastic flight experience—the plane was clean and offered more legroom than you’d typically expect from some budget airlines. Everything ran on time, which made the journey even smoother. I’ll definitely be flying with them again.

They've lost my suitcase which had everything in i needed for my daughter and I. There customer support is shocking and they've been no help. We're on our first day of a 9 day holiday and its been ruined by them losing my case. Am never booking with them again. I'd rather pay £500 more and fly with someone else than fly with them. Avoid.

I booked a flight with this company, joined a club, and added a range of extras costing £260. The flight was booked in November 2025. However, in March 2026, they contacted me to say the flight was canceled and offered an alternative flight on a different date, which I couldn’t use as I already had other bookings. They refunded the flight price, but they are refusing to refund the £260 I paid for the extras.

I travel with Sunexpress all the time from Manchester to Antalya. Fares are good value. Booking experience is easy. Staff are excellent. I cannot understand these bad reviews they are a fantastic budget airline with prices as little as £50 each way. I dont know what more people want for their money. Well done Sunexpress ..ps the whazzap chat is 24/7 and extremely responsive and helpful. Do not be put off by the bad reviews probably people who want to drink a lot of alcohol. Tip they dont always take Revolut cards on board and dont usually take English cash prices in Euro buy a meal deal from Boots before you fly ..also the £12 queue jump to check in and bag drop is very worth it in the summer months.

I paid for cabin baggage in advance, but at the gate I was forced to pay again despite showing proof. The airline later claimed my bag was overweight, which was never measured or mentioned. Extremely stressful and misleading - make sure to keep proof of your baggage payment and the weight of your bag. I would not recommend traveling with SunExpress.

Flew twice in a week with them and have no complaints. Easy, smooth, comfortable and affordable service. Overall experience is quite positive. Very satisfied.
Yes, online booking is a bit of a headache, because after each step, the page starts buffering.
The solution is to reload the page, and all is good.
One has to wait for maybe 30-40 seconds, though, otherwise the site will "think" this is a bot attack and redirect to the main home page, and the booking must re-start again after confirming you are a human.
But once it "gets it" you are OK.
Yes, they could cancel flights, but they offer a refund or re-booking. It happens.
Miner hiccups are part of the process for low-cost companies nowadays.
Oh, and booking a seat is NOT necessary to proceed further with your booking. You get a random seat allocation after online check-in.

The prices on the app are higher than website prices. Not much of an incentive to sign up. The booking process is slow with the aeroplane flying round and round aimlessly whilst the system tries to organise itself.

I especially wanted to review this flight because of the excellent experience I had with the staff. The young lady at the check-in counter welcomed me in a very warm and positive way. She handled my procedures quickly with a smile and kindly offered me an emergency exit seat, which I really appreciated.
During boarding, the cabin manager was also very friendly and welcoming. Additionally, the same young lady from the counter was working as a flight attendant on the flight and provided very friendly and attentive service throughout.
I was truly very satisfied with the whole experience. I would like to thank both the staff themselves and the company for presenting such a positive and professional team.
