I'm a British expat living in Italy, and I need a UK number for dealing with banks and officialdom that can't dial an international number. After my current UK provider dropped 3G coverage, I needed something to replace them.
I was a little confused to start with during registration about which number to register, and I ended up using the wrong one. Simon from customer services was quick to help, and within a few days, I was up and running. It's so nice (and very surprising) to come across good customer service these days, but to find one that exceeds expectations is even rarer.

I moved to Portugal and wished to keep my UK mobile telephone number which I have had for over thirty years whithout having to endure excessive roaming costs.
Swytch has been the perfect solution. Family friends and other contacts back at home can keep on calling and SMS me on my usual UK number as if I were still living in the UK and I can reach them at a minimal cost.

I used Swytch as an expat abroad. I wanted to keep my UK number to receive OTPs and calls and so I could reuse it when I returned. Porting into and out of Swytch was easy and above all the customer service is personal and quick to respond. I needed a quick port in to avoid losing my number and Swytch made it happen.

I used Swytch for two years while living outside the UK. An excellent service which allowed me to keep my UK number active and receive security codes and other important messages. No problems with starting the service or porting out at the end. Would highly recommend to anyone in a similar situation.

Found the support from Swytch mobile fantastic. I will definitely use this company again. It was very easy to set up and there were no hidden or sudden charges. I was concerned that when I no longer needed this mobile service I'd have issues trying to end it, but it was very simple, easy and there was no wait period before the service ended. It was all very transparent and I do hope this business goes from strength to strength. I ended my subscription yesterday as I no longer need this mobile number. I used my Swytch mobile number for about 6 months

Very smooth port in of numbers and seems to be a great service

Having moved abroad for a year, I was able to keep my UK number. Was a very easy process for porting in and porting-out. Customer service is excellent - very quick to respond and provide helpful resolution. Have had no issues with their service. The only area of improvement I'd suggest is their app. It has a very primitive UI but does the job. Would highly recommend.

Setting up the service to port my number was tricky but Simon in customer service was extremely helpful.

Having read the other reviews, I felt happy to use this company to set up a UK number and port my old number from EE as I have emigrated to the US. Having an UK number, and especially having my old number out here makes receiving all the text validation codes from various companies I use, much simpler. Also, it means any contacts from the UK can still get hold of me via Swytch.
I understood that the process of porting the old number into switch would take a little time. Seimon and then John from tech support walk me through the steps by (E-mail). They were responsive, helpful and gave me workarounds if any of the steps didn’t work.
The whole process took awhile, but that was down to me contacting EE but not receiving the PAC number first time.
So be prepared that it might take awhile but I highly recommend Swytch, as once it’s set up you don’t need to worry about a UK mobile phone provider withdrawing service or charging high roaming costs.
I kept my EE number going until the port was completed.
