Swytch has obviously spent a lot of time thinking about how to make their system work well, and explain it to people installing it. It must be hard to make one system work for so many different kinds of bikes, and I didn't find everything about the install obvious. But I did it myself in 4-5 hours and it works well. I love electric!

Great value system upgrade, with improvements to battery mount and battery. Simple to install. VMT

Late order delivery and incomplete. Terrible AI bot first line of customer service followed by different human CS Advisors took 11 months from ordering to receiving a full refund.

Ordered a kit to convert my bike to electric in January with delivery in June. The order page gave an option to choose an accessory that was not compatible with my kit, so I got the wrong part in June. Customer service sent me the correct part after a lengthy e-mail exchange as their customer service is very busy. In the end a satisfied customer.

Although you can’t seem to phone Swytch, their response was excellent via email. Their AI bot quickly forwarded my email to the right person, who dealt with my query very speedily. He looked up my order of two years ago and came back with some excellent support. I trust Maciej and am very grateful that he has continued to provide support and guidance over the years - even after the guarantee has expired. I would recommend Swytch - it has been a game changer for me.

My complete Swytch experience has been flawless and enjoyable: from installing the kit 18 months ago, then enthusiastic use of my converted bike, and now a complimentary replacement of a spare part from Swytch. Highly recommended for anyone happy to 'electrify' their bike.

The Swytch kit is excellent. Easy to fit and well worth every penny once you get out on your bike and experience the Swytch kit’s power. I would give 5 stars, however some spare/replacement parts are out of stock for long periods of time. Enjoy.

Really good customer service when we needed to buy a Gen 2 Pro battery as a replacement. Fast delivery and helpful advice by chat.

A problem with a failed new Go++ battery.
Initially it was frustrating not being able to talk to anyone at Swytch but the email process worked very efficiently, this was in a large part due to Maceij the customer service advisor who clearly is not just technically competent but really understands the issues that arose.

Extremely fast response, resolution, and delivery of replacement part! The request for video to show my problem was very reasonable and easy to do, and no one questioned me, or made me feel like I did something to make it my fault.

Very good kit, excellent support, after sale follow-up and customer service. Delivery is prompt. Nothing but praise.

Given the well-documented delivery delays many appear to have experienced, I wanted to share a positive experience. I ordered the Swytch Max+ kit on 3 August 2026 and it arrived fully complete two days later.
I fitted it to a 2018 6-speed Brompton. While the website claims a 25-to-45-minute install time, that feels highly aspirational for a first-timer. It took me a couple of hours of careful fettling, heavily relying on YouTube and ChatGPT. My advice: set aside a full morning or afternoon and lean into the learning process. Not saying that you need to be a professional bike mechanic - you definitely don't, but being confident with bike maintenance basics is probably a minimum requirement.
Once fitted, the system works brilliantly. The OLED display is a very worthwhile option, especially since it gives you an accurate voltage readout to helps estimate range - in my case a realistic 25–30 mile range tested on mostly flat cycle paths with one major hill. Also, if you have limited handlebar space (which you will once the battery is fitted and especially of you have a Brompton like me) I'd recommend ordering the accessory bar.
On power levels 4 and 5, the motor is surprisingly punchy, though you will still need to put in some legwork on very steep hills.
For reference I also considered buying an official Brompton Electric, but the Swytch kit offers comparable performance while preserving the bike's front luggage capacity. It is a much more optimal solution in my view, provided you don't mind the "cable-tie aesthetic".
I was nervous making this purchase, but I am incredibly pleased so far. If it proves reliable long-term, I will definitely consider converting my other bikes. So a strong recommend from me.
P.S. For the Swytch team: Please consider hiring a web developer to fix the broken links on your site. While it probably seems like a low priority right now, broken links don’t inspire customer confidence regarding your attention to detail. It would be an easy win for you - and your product is good and deserves to do well.

I wouldn't have bought from Swytch had I realised they offer no customer support. You can't call them and they don't reply to emails. They claim you can get parts from their authorised cycle shops but this isn't true. All cycle shops seem to have boycotted Swytch due to their lack of customer service.
Swytch have now kindly replied to this review saying I should contact them with my order number so that they can help. They didn't give a telephone number and after 4 attempts to contact them via email already, I suspect emailing them again won't help!

I had a great experience with the Swytch Bike support team! After noticing a grinding noise in the front motor wheel of my Brompton kit, the support agent Sylwia quickly diagnosed the issue using the videos I provided and arranged a full replacement. Highly recommended!
