NOW IT WORKS PERFECTLY!
2026 UPDATE: The current version 3 is an absolute dream to install. It even works with a single screen. Drag the mouse outside of screen 1 (it disappears), then switch the screen input to computer2, and voila, the pointer sits on the desktop!

As a macOS user and after paying US$29 for a program which un-compiled is available for free, I expect a seamless and polished installation. While the program has good reviews from other users, I was unable to install properly and it never worked for me. I just don't have the time and patience to fiddle with the installation for hours... Requested a refund and received the funds within hours.
The one-star rating is for the installation process only.

Great software
Great software, works across platforms and OS versions. Support (if you need it, I never did until an XP issue, yes, I still have XP on a workstation) is extremely fast and helpful. The copy-and-paste between machines is very useful.

Seems to be a GREAT product but installation documentation could be better!
Seems to be a GREAT product!! Installation was a bear. Tech support got back to me quickly via email but due to time difference I was unable to set-up a support session and ended up fiddling around for several hours until I finally got it to work.
STRONGLY SUGGEST the team write better instructions and provide a step by step youtube for installation and firewall settings.
If installation had better documentation it would get an unreserved FIVE STARS.

As a productivity tool, I rank this one of the best! I need to run two versions of Mac OS and Windows 10. I can do this with one keyboard and one mouse.

UX needs improvement, but otherwise it works for me.
The software is a little unclear at some parts, and it could be made more user friendly.
But Synergy's good customer support definitely makes it work.

Synergy at the top
I have used Multiplicity for years from Stardock. It had it's quirks requiring me to unload and restart the server and client on all machines about twice/month (I use my computers every day for 4-5 hours -sad isn't it?). When I updated a recently purchased laptop to Win10 1903, Multiplicity stopped communicating with it. I gave up after hours and hours of troubleshooting and searched for a replacement. I looked at all the reviews, and even downloaded a couple. Some of the K/Ms required a subscription service - not good. Others charged for each monitor you used - not good. Synergy was within the top of almost every review. I had to contact the excellent support at synergy (thanks Daniel) to get it set up. However If I had completely read the manual I would have had no problems. Support was very patient with me. My biggest complaint is the lack of transferring files with drag & drop or even copy and paste. The forums say it is coming. Also with high network traffic such as copying huge directories, I notice the mouse really slows down on the clients.

Synergy by Symless enables you to use…
Synergy by Symless enables you to use one keyboard and one mouse on multiple machines and also to cut and paste from machine to machine. However sometimes, after a while, i find that cut and paste stops working. I look forward to having drag and drop between machines.

I was having problems installing Synergy. The Synergy team was very helpful and patient with my problem. I the installer was the problem getting Synergy installed. My only suggestion for inexperienced computer users is to Print out all the installation instructions before
