Would not recommend purchasing from Sytner Select Northampton.
I have been a customer of other Sytner dealerships in the past and previously had no issues.

This particular branch has however now completely put me off from ever dealing with any Sytner dealership again.

I purchased a £34,000 vehicle from Sytner Select Northampton.

Prior to purchase, I specifically asked whether the vehicle had any modifications and was clearly told that it was completely stock, as Sytner only deals with vehicles with stock parts.
They claim to carry out a 135 point check.

However, shortly after purchase, during a routine service with BMW, I was informed that the car is fitted with an aftermarket exhaust.

Not only was the vehicle misrepresented at the point of sale, but the modification has had a significant financial impact:

My insurance premium is now significantly higher than it should be.
The cost to return the vehicle to OEM specification is estimated at £5,900+

I raised this with the dealership and provided full evidence, including insurance quotes and cost estimates.
I have made multiple attempts to resolve the issue and have now been completely ignored.

Extremely disappointing and has completely destroyed the reputation of the Sytner Group for me.

I have been reasonable throughout and simply sought a fair resolution, however the lack of communication and accountability has been unacceptable.

I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from this dealership to carry out thorough independent checks and not rely solely on assurances provided at the point of sale.
Once the sale has gone through, they simply will not acknowledge, or even respond to issues. It begs the question on how thoroughly they check the cars they sell.

This matter is now being formally escalated under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Bradley was brilliant serving me today. He took me on two test drives and talked through finance options. No pressure to buy and great advice. Really impressed.

What was really helpful was that he picked me up from the train station.
