I ordered a cooling blanket
I ordered a cooling blanket. My payment was accepted and I received an email telling me the next email would give me details of tracking and arrival of my order. About a month later I had had no communication about my order. I tried to contact the company by phone but was unable to connect with them...not in Australia. Their site looks like it's Australian but don't be fooled. I had to contact my bank to have the payment stopped and my money returned, which thankfully happened. I received absolutely no communication from Taavita. Bad experience...DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM.
Waiting on refund
Goods were overpriced, took far too long to arrive and the company would not let me cancel even though tracking showed me the goods had not left China. When the goods did arrive, they were badly packed and one item was smashed to smithereens. I have asked for a refund. Will update this when I get a response.
Doesn’t meet Australian safety standards
I ordered from this company thinking they were an Australian website, but it turns out to be a misleading site. They say that postage will take 5-10 business days, but it took over a month and customer service replied to emails in German.
I became alarmed, and sure enough once the pendant light I had ordered arrived, my electrician informed me it would be both illegal and unsafe to install it because it didn’t have a tag passing Australian safety standards, and it was made of metal without an earthing wire.
I tried to buy a pendant wire to fit it, but the lampshade appears to be a European fitting and I couldn’t get what I needed in Australia.
I requested to return my item at their expense due to the misleading nature of their website, the delayed postage, and above all the fact that it’s an illegal and unsafe product. They refused and said it would be at my expense to return.
I reported them to Shopify (no response yet) and to my credit card company as fraud, who have thankfully issued me a credit.
Please don’t order from this company, it’s a scam.
Note: have updated this review following completion of my drama!
