Not sure about the tea bags. I bought the ginger and lemon along with the manuka honey and ginger. Taste a bit wishy washy in my opinion. Also I can't get a definitive answer on what the bags are made... See more

  1. Coffee store

Written by the company

Back in 2006 the world of whole-leaf tea was boring, stuffy and outdated. Meanwhile, cool things were happening in the world of coffee. We saw the opportunity to get everyone drinking real tea again! And by real we mean big leaf and big on flavour. So, in November 2006 teapigs was born. Our mission today is the same as it was back in 2006: to get everyone drinking top quality, whole-leaf, great tasting tea - and to do business a bit differently while we're at it. All natural. No nasties. BIG leaf = BIG flavour. Simple!

Teapigs great but very poor delivery experience

The delivery was really poor. I was wondering where the tea was and checked the tracking link for Royal Mail. It said that they had delivered to "my safe space" as I was out on 3/12/25, 2 days ago. I went around to find a soggy box left out in the open for 2 often wet days. I had a covered box for parcels right next to the door which various couriers have used with no problem. There was no note left to indicate where it was. The tea is now cold, wet and probably ruined. Update: Teapigs Customer Services sent me a replacement pack and dealt with the situation very well. Clearly the fault was entirely with the Royal Mail courier.

HI Stephen,

Thank for your review!

I know we spoke via the Customer service tickets and we managed to resolve the issue. I am really sorry that Royal Mail left your parcel in the sopping rain. Definitely not ideal but you received a lovely dry replacement!

Best,
KM

Chai tastes weak

Chai tastes weak, doesn't have correct flavour profile. I'm impressed by the plant based tea bags, as usually being a coffee drinker the last thing I want is microplastics in my cuppa.

'Ethical' is meaningless advertising jargon because it's a comparative adjective not a noun.

I'm not Indian, but I have spent over a year living in India and Nepal, but to me the flavour profile of their chai doesn't seem like anything I've ever tried, likely they didn't include enough tea and maybe missed out a more expensive spice or two. Also shows what a race to the bottom the 'taste' awards are becoming.

Tea with microplastic

Wish your business well and happy to delete this review when make changes, but selling tea in the plastic bag in the modern world is simply unacceptable. Do you understand that we breath with microplastic everyday because people where polyester. You also want us to drink it in large quantities? Tea quality is great, but how healthy it could be with micro-plastic?

Excellent service and tea!

Absolutely fantastic service ordered Wednesday morning and it came Thursday! I ordered a personalised selection box it's brilliant quality and the teas I tried that I ordered for myself are so good. Yes it's a bit more expensive but I have them as a treat and they are worth the money

Sent the wrong tea in large quantity

First time ordering and trying their tea. Ordered a range of individual tea envelopes totalling 11 tea bags to use in gift bags. Instead, they sent me 5 CASES (250 individually wrapped teabags) in 2 flavours. 1 of the flavours was past it's best before date, so that's 2 cases that can't be used. The others are dated for March 2026.

I emailed the team to explain the error and requested them to send my original order, and offered to send back the unopened cases. They responded with a very basic reply about returns and refunds, not addressing my request for them to send my original order. The AI auto-response that acknowledged my support email was more personal than the actual support team's response.

I'm going to see if the local foodbank or a community cafe would like the 2 unopened, in date cases. Thankfully I wasn't charged for them. I just don't understand how the packing team messed up like this.

Great tasting tea

Being able to order simply is a challenge and finding a way through special offers and packages is a challenge. Sending marketing offers of 3 for 2 after I have ordered is irritating. Tea is great and delivery swift

Going well online.

My online journey with TeaPigs is going great! Access to more tea's, I very much appreciate the extra surprise in my delivery this month too! THANK YOU!

I switched from Pukka, and the difference is huge! TeaPigs is superior in every way, from the quality of the temples to actually putting real tea buds in, and not the dust so often found with others.

Do I feel the little bit of string is necessary? No, I chop them off! Perhaps an idea for larger packs would be without the little strings, but I understand all the other competing brands have little strings too so it must be the majority of customers preference.

10/10 for TeaPigs, I previously found customer services really helpful and engaging, and this month received a little treat in my parcel, visiting friends have noticed the huge difference too and two of my friends have also moved from Pukka to TeaPigs....

It's the way to go! And try the Makuna Honey one's, they are AWESOME!!! (And Caffeine Free)

Resolved my issue

Two of my tea bags broke open and I reached out to the Teapigs team to see if I was being too rough or perhaps got an odd batch. Kira responded to my email very quickly and was very helpful I sent her the pack details and the team sent me a replacement, great tea and even better customer service, thanks Kira!

£9 in tesco per box so I waited for the club card price to kick in.After 2 weeks it did ,down to £7 per box .These were hardly flying off the shelf ,but being a tea addict needed to try
I made a cup first using 1 bag and 4.5min brewing with 1 sugar and then after a pot with 3 to 10 mins brewing.
My finds were PG gold are still unbeatable compared to this trendy crap ,for the price and taste I'd rather have aldi basic brand .
Not worth 3 quid let alone 9

Fantastic tea let down by expensive delivery and long order completion - 7 days to seems crazy when there's plenty of businesses offering free next day delivery.

Also, subscription not fulfilled due to no stock. I assume this is because of a recent sale but surely a stock management system should recognise what should be held on subscription and what shouldn't.

Just a bit disappointing as the tea is amazing.
