Chai tastes weak, doesn't have correct flavour profile. I'm impressed by the plant based tea bags, as usually being a coffee drinker the last thing I want is microplastics in my cuppa. 'Ethical'... See more

Not sure about the tea bags. I bought the ginger and lemon along with the manuka honey and ginger. Taste a bit wishy washy in my opinion. Also I can't get a definitive answer on what the bags are made... See more

Their chamomile tea, or is it a potpourri? - consists solely of dried flower heads, and it lacks any Starmereque sleep inducing qualities. I also bought a pack of redbush, which is meant to taste smok... See more

  1. Coffee store

Written by the company

Back in 2006 the world of whole-leaf tea was boring, stuffy and outdated. Meanwhile, cool things were happening in the world of coffee. We saw the opportunity to get everyone drinking real tea again! And by real we mean big leaf and big on flavour. So, in November 2006 teapigs was born. Our mission today is the same as it was back in 2006: to get everyone drinking top quality, whole-leaf, great tasting tea - and to do business a bit differently while we're at it. All natural. No nasties. BIG leaf = BIG flavour. Simple!

Disappointed as I ended up paying £4…

Disappointed as I ended up paying £4 for postage after the discount was applied for an order over £25. Also I’ve just seen Waitrose have a discount on the same box at £7.30 against your discounted price of £12. My mistake I should have checked first. I won’t order direct again.

teapigs - yes, a pig of a service

I ordered some tea over 10 days ago - nothing received from them, and zero response from Teapigs to my questions on their website as to what's happening with the order, they have also disabled the info @ teapigs email address, which sounds ominous - you now can only contact them via their website... of course they don't provide a telephone number - very shoddy

Easy website to use - and a discount offer!
Delivered within a week with just the right amount of packaging. I haven’t used them yet but I know from experience that the quality of Teapigs is excellent.

Please cancel this month’s subscription because I’ve already had to buy sime

You’ve assumed that I’ll pay for this next subscription when I told you not to this month (just yesterday by reply e mail) that I’d already had to buy on line on the Tea Pigs website on 5th June x4 boxes of 15 tea bags which cost me £25. So, I said please don’t send me more in the subscription because I’ve already had to go on line and do that myself. I wish you had suggested that 2/3 months ago when you could not secure the 50 teabag box to send out. Eventually I heard that this was down to an ingredient issue. My daughter has had trouble getting them too. I’m disappointed of the lack of communication from yourselves and how difficult it is to contact yourselves. I could have done with being able to speak with someone. Could you please cancel the subscription that you have just put through that I asked you to do yesterday by reply e mail? My number is 07800 69926 if someone could please call me.

They try to put the wrongs right

I gave Teapigs 1 star but they did right their wrong so I’m adjusting my rating to 3. They did get in touch and offered my order for free for the inconvenience caused. I was hoping for the postage costs to be compensated as the order took longer than stated but they actually compensated me for the whole order. It’s only fair to let people know when companies try hard to put things that go wrong right and teapigs did that.

Too slow

Ordered late Thursday evening. Not ready for dispatch till late Tuesday afternoon. Royal Mail didn’t log it as collected till Thursday and trying to deliver Friday or Saturday. In this modern world that’s too long. 6-7 working days to pick and deliver 45 tea bags.

Becoming far too expensive

We are longstanding customers of Teapigs, buying primarily in supermarkets and occasionally directly. Their peppermint tea is a household favourite and has been for many years. I have received an email from Teapigs today advising of price increases. Quite simply, I will not pay anymore for these teabags, as lovely as they are. Not that long ago, I could get 50 bags for around £10. The price has been creeping up and is now c£13.50. I dread to think what it will be after a price increase they have forewarned of. I'm afraid I will be trying other brands going forwards to find a new favourite.

What’s happened?

What’s happened?! Teapigs used to fulfil orders completely & promptly with a great customer service … now there’s always items missing from our subscription & we’re never informed before dispatch, products are regularly out of stock (supply issues?) & they can’t be bothered to respond to customer enquiries! They supply a pricey product & need to up their game!

Something has gone wrong with this company

I’ve had a regular subscription for several years & was very happy with the product and the deliveries. Something has gone off the rails. Repeated bank alerts that payment has been taken & then reversed straightaway. Message on my account page to contact them re payment - but my credit card hasn’t changed and no one answering my email via their website. A bit concerning. Am going to cancel my subscription.

Good product, bad service

Order placed on 6 May. Delivery time was stated as 3-7 working days. It is now 23rd May and the order hasn’t arrived. Several days ago I emailed Teapigs using the contact form on the website, but haven’t received a reply.

Update: Order finally arrived on 31st May. No apology or explanation from Teapigs regarding the delay.

I have tried to contact this company by phone and email a number of times about non delivery of an order that they have taken payment for and have not been able to get a response! Really poor service and I suspect they may no longer be trading?

Seems to be absolutely no customer service!!

Ordered 300 overpriced peppermint tea bags at £66……but unfortunately for me they are the only ones my wife really likes so I thought I would treat her,
well that was a week ago.

Royal Mail say they have delivered them which they have but not to me, the delivery photo is of someone else’s door that actually says “Flat No 2” on it…..I don’t live in a flat!!…….this was 3 days ago.
Now I understand that issues like this can arise, I’ve purchased things before that sometimes never turn up for one reason or another, but you contact the seller/retailer and hope that they honour their obligation to you and put the problem right, so I tried to contact Teapigs.

I have filled several of their online contact forms in…….no response back.

I have emailed them, but I inadvertently messaged their worldwide email address, nearly instantly I was contacted by a lady in America who explained who she was, she was really kind and helpful and as I was having such a bad experience she said she would forward my email to the UK customer service team……no response back.

I have tried telephoning them many times on different days……..no one picks up…..left message…..no response back.

This really frustrates me when companies selling overpriced but obviously quality products completely ignore and are complacent with their customers when problems arise.
It’s not even like it’s a couple of quid……£66 for tea bags🤦‍♂️

Don’t know what else to do and I hate to have to kick up a fuss about it but I am left with no other option, I have tried to contact them as you would when there is a problem but there seems to be no one there to listen!
I don’t know what else to do, it’s such a shame as I believe the product is really good.

Poor delivery experience

Delivery experience has been getting worse and worse over the last year. My recent order was dispatched 10 days ago but hasn't been received by the courier yet. No response from customer services when reaching out. There are plenty other tea companies that offer better prices and true next day delivery so think I'll be giving teapigs a miss for a while.

Bought pack of 15 to find 2 bags empty

Bought pack of 15 to only find 2 bags were empty. However contacted them and explained and responded quickly to problem and got compensated for the loss. Impressed with their service but also love the peppermint tea.

Company made good.

Very disappointed. Placed my order on 4 April. Was advised on 10 April that it had been dispatched but as of today Royal Mail has not received the order despite being advised it had been despatched. No reply to email sent to company yesterday - not even an acknowledgment. I therefore have reluctantly been forced to give one star.

Since writing the above, I have just received the order and the company have more than made good. I can only assume that the original package went missing. Better communication from them would have been preferable so I’ve upgraded my review to 4 stars.

Not the best I’m afraid

Not the best I’m afraid. Very late order no updates until I chased . Joyful fruit and nut missing. Never had any issues before but this was surprising.
