Horrible customer service
I recently moved to a new house but after 1 month still don't have internet access. I contacted the customer service to request a technician so many times in any possible way but couldn't make any progress.
Given you are not providing the service I hired, the only option left is to cancel the contract. Very disappointed...

I’m a new customer, 3 days after I got the router the internet started disconnecting every 10 minutes. I talked to their customer service they said if u want a Techniker you will have to pay 80€ and after I paid 80€ they changed the router and the same thing is happening it keeps disconnecting, I’m going back to Vodafone and I don’t recommend any of u guys to get Telekom because it’s a joke and scam. Worst experience of my life.

Signed up for Telekom Internet only, without a fixed line. When doing this, Telekom doesn't consider you a customer and doesn't provide you with any support channels. I am unable to create a login account, I am unable to get through the phone support and even the chat support resulted in a 3 word response after a 40 minute wait, after which the chat was terminated.
As a new customer, this is just so incredibly bad I am absolutely shocked.

It's the second year that im applying for an Ausbildung at Telekom and guess what, i get the same exact email... Thanks for applying... And they ask to do the online assessment test. I do it, which takes about 2 hr. The next day, same as last year, i get the exact same email, telling me that there's no free place left anymore. I asked kindly the woman the works there, about why i can still see that there's a free place,she told me that her colleagues forgot to delete it. A student like me could use these 2 hr to learn something for more important than a test with 100 questions about my personality. Its also funny how the personality of the woman that works for Baden-Württemberg IT Bereich and reads die Bewerbungen from students is very egoistic, no respect at all and also puts her own opinion first over the skills of a person. I have no idea how she got through this test. They could have said to me at least immediately that there's not a free place left anymore and not make me to take a test. I also would like to mention that when I first applied, i got the email that there's no place. Asked the same woman if i can apply immediately for the next year and she said that have to send to her the Zeugnise of this school year(Bitte bewerben Sie sich mit dem Abschlusszeugnis von 2021 erneut für das Jahr 2022.) . Since it was still early, i had to wait months to get them, that's why i wasn't able to send it,but immediately when i got em, same day i got them, an hr later, i send it directly, replying to the email where she asked me about them and she didn't reply at all, after a month i wrote an email,which i asked her if she got my Zeugnise and she replied (die Zeugnisse sind angekommen.
Allerdings hatte ich Sie gebeten diese in das Online Portal für 2022 einzufügen.). I did it and the results were copy paste an email.

At this time, i don't know at all why i wanted to do an Ausbildung at Telekom (sharing and using my own skills on the wrong company), where the workers are very unfriendly (as we can read other reviews) and also showed it to Arbeitsagentur to my Betreuer, she was extremely angry and told me to avoid this company, since they don't know what respect, chances and trying means.

Ich habe einen Vertrag mit Vodafone abgeschlossen, nach 7 Tagen teilt man mir mit, dass mein Vertrag aufgrund eines Fehlers gekündigt wird. Ich gehe zur Telekom und schließe einen Magenta M-Vertrag ab (der an meiner Adresse erhältlich ist) und kaufe mein eigenes Modem. Nachdem ich eine Woche lang keine Informationen erhalten habe, bitte ich um eine Erklärung, und beim zehnten Anbieter wird mir mitgeteilt, dass die Bandbreite aufgrund eines Fehlers nicht mehr verfügbar ist. Ich bat darum, zum Magenta S-Vertrag zu wechseln, und man sagte mir, ich solle noch eine Woche warten, und das Modem, das ich gekauft hatte, sei nicht mehr geeignet. Um den Fehler zu beheben, schickte man mir in der Zwischenzeit einen Magenta Schnellstart mit 60 GB zur Verwendung. Heute kommt der Schnellstart an, er funktioniert nicht. Nach 6 Stunden Telefonieren und Chatten entschuldigen sie sich, dass sie vergessen haben, die mir zugesandte SIM-Karte zu AKTIVIEREN. Ich muss noch 3 Tage warten.
In all dem sind DREI WOCHEN vergangen, ich habe etwa 30 Stunden am Telefon verbracht und um Erklärungen gebeten und ich habe immer noch kein Internet!!!!! Jedes Mal, wenn ich am Telefon Englisch spreche, schalten sie mich ab!!! DAS ALLES IST BESCHÄMEND!!!
Ich habe ein neues Modem, für das ich 250 € bezahlt habe, das nicht mehr funktioniert, und es ist ihnen völlig egal! Nicht einmal die geringste Erstattung für ihre ständigen Fehler!!!

I signed a contract with Vodafone, after 7 days they tell me that my contract is cancelled due to an error. I go to Telekom and take out a Magenta M contract (available at my address) and buy my own modem. After a week of not receiving any information, I ask for an explanation and on the TENTH assistant I am told that the bandwidth is no longer available in my place due to an error. I asked to switch to the Magenta S contract and was told to wait another week and the modem I had bought was no longer suitable. In the meantime, to fix the error, they sent me a Magenta Quickstart with 60 GB to use. Today the quick start arrives, it doesn't work. After 6 hours of phoning and chatting, they apologise for forgetting to ACTIVATE the SIM card they sent me. I have to wait another 3 days.
In all this, THREE WEEKS have passed, I have spent about 30 hours on the phone asking for explanations and I still don't have internet!!!!! Every time I speak English on the phone they shut me down!!!! THIS IS ALL SHAMEFUL!!!
I have a new modem that I paid €250 for that no longer works and they don't care! Not even the slightest refund for their constant mistakes!!!!
I need to receive an urgent assistance call in English!!!

Arrogant Customer Service
Last week a couple of employees from Deutsche Telekom (Ludwigshafen, Germany) knocked on my door and explained their BEST offer for a new internet contract. Their English was extremely poor just like my German. She tried so well by translating each sentence on Google and convinced me to get the contract. So I signed up for this.
As I had some doubt regarding the router I called their hotline after 1 week of the contract being signed. There was a man speaking in German. I asked politely if he can speak English or can transfer my call to English speaking colleague. He was extremely arrogant and refused to talk in English or transfer the call. Also, told me that If you are in Germany then you should speak German and just hung up the call. That is so racist and rude. I will never recommend their service/product.
WORST EVER EXPERIENCE IN MY 5 YEARS OF STAY IN GERMANY.

Incompetence at it's best
Incompetence at it's best - I am the son of a leading technician of this company and I need a new mobilephone contract for my girlfriend. The promised phone call leaded to a waiting queue, where we were kicked out after 2 minutes. The second promised phone call didn't happen and after my mother put lots of pressure, I finally reveived the phone call. Then, at the contract preparation, I told the worker on the phone two times, that my girlfriend's sir name has an unusual spelling and spelled it. And today I received the contract via email and: The sir name was spelled wrong. Furthermore, I also wanted to change my long year contract for better conditions, the worker told me yesterday, I will receive a phone call within the next twenty minutes. And guess what: I am still waiting

Telekom cannot get their act together
We have been waiting for fiber optic a year later finally received it. First they forgot to do the construction and install the fiber dose to the wall. Then 8 mos later our modem came and we followed the prompts to find out the number on the fiber dose isn’t correct.
Saturday night on hold for 3 hours and the person said they can’t assign a new number and it would be a technician that can fix this, which is one week later. After they tell you this they send a bill of 140 Euros because we never told them where to install the dose. 🤨
So the day is here the techs are in their way 20 min out…. 3.5 hours later and they arrive. After an hour being here and me telling them the dose number is wrong they have to call the same hotline as me. So on hold for an hour. They found out that the number is wrong and the number assigned to my house is somewhere out there. Also the number I have makes someone else dealing with the same issues. How did they resolve this? Well the only person that can search numbers is you guessed it… on Urlaub. One person!!!! Well I have been without Internet for two weeks what is another week right???? Well, that was their solution. The techs said they could probably get the number in about a week and I have to just take it because I am in a contract and there is no redressing this!!!!

German Telekom is absolutely terrible
German Telekom is absolutely terrible. Avoid this company AT ALL COSTS. I just received a brand new router and after 2 weeks it has totally broken and I have been without internet for 4 days. I had an appointment for a technician to show up today so I took off work and guess who never showed!? They then lied to me and told me the technician tried to call me because he “got into an accident” yea BS. These people have no idea what they’re doing. They’re not helpful. They’re bums this company hires off the street that will simply tell you “did you reset your router yet?” If your internet is broken. I hate this company and I cannot WAIT to leave Germany so I don’t have to give them my money anymore.

I took an offer from CHECK24 for Telekom with 27, 33euro and after 7 months they took me 42 euro, why?
My contract says clearly, from the 25th month it will be 45,90 Euro, not from now.
If now you take more then my contract, after the 25th month, you will take from us 100 euro or what?
We work for our money, it s not fair for your customers to take their money like that.

US-style hard sell is killing the (excellent) customer experience
Update 2024: Spam and intrusive phone calls from DT and its agents are increasing, trying to sell us a bunch of things we don't want or need. It's getting bad enough that I've looked at alternatives. They all seem worse. Yesterday we had a second call from a ratty-sounding subcontracted call centre (number not registered to DT) trying to get us to extend for two years before our contract runs out. Folks, Telekom contracts don't run out. Hint to DT: what customers really want from a telco is to be left in peace. It's a utility, not a life opportunity.
Home phone and DSL in Frankfurt Main: over 13 years of enterprise-quality service at consumer prices means we can't complain. By enterprise-quality I mean consistently excellent throughput and latency with only three outages in 13 years, one of which resolved itself within 30 minutes. As a result we haven't had much to do with customer services. Router hire process has also been flawless although we've lately (2024) had some compatibility problems with Android versions >12. The service is neither cheap nor expensive. Living in a global internet hub can't hurt, ymmv.
I also have a mobile contract with DT. It's expensive but has consistently good cover, including for example free roaming in Switzerland, and never goes down. I was able to get an e-SIM issued with zero hassle.

So, I bought a prepaid SIM and followed the activation instructions - lengthy wait and it didn’t work.
It’s now Sunday but, according to the website, activation cannot be completed on a Sunday!

They told me to stay at home the hole day because one team will came to resolve the problem (90099917/31.07.2021)and.........nothing! I lost 1 day because Telekom.ro can't manage it's problems. And there are a lot of problems ! Avoid them !
And the replay from Deutsche Telekom AG is defining the mode in which I "resolve" the problems with Telekom.ro: is another team which has to came........bla,bla,bla!
I didn't mention in my review that from 6 years Telekom.ro don't respect his own contract regarding Internet services! And all the time they said: we don't have resources..............
Why Telekom.de takes Telekom.ro if they can't manage it?
And the "local" colleagues can't be contacted because they made a wall between the customer and them! So,the replay of Deutsche Telekom is the same laughing in my face!

A week without internet!
Had a move, the guy didn't show up (couldn't find the signal box). Fair enough, happens. Two day later they show up and internet works for an hour then dies.
I called them but they couldn't help me without my Kundennummer (mind you all my stuff is in boxes as I'm moving). I told them all my personal data and they STILL couldn't help me. It's been a week and still no internet. After I sifted through mails and old paperwork k found a Kundennummer I managed to get help (it's effing 2021!?!?!?), Insane!!!
Whoever is in charge of customer service at Telekom should be fired ASAP and they should hire someone who gets rid of the stupid processes that are completely unnecessary. What an incompetence.
What a joke. I'm definitely ending my contracts (me, wife, kids all have Handys, internet and tv and everything from them. I'm out!)
And i spoke to some guy from their Kundendienst and he simply told me I still had to lay everything! Despite them failing constantly to deliver. So even their staff isn't trained to retain customers.

I have a prepaid card MAGENTA MOBIL PREPAID M, 10 euro price. I tried twice to activate to the indicated link, the video=call was OK, two nice ladies take my dates from my ID card, but the SIM card is still not activated. I tried to communicate on chat on TELEKOM site, but the answer was " for an english conversation, call to a number", how can I made a call if my card is not activated ?
