The last 3 visits to Tesco store Lee Mill the shelves have been empty, and I mean empty, just empty boxes where the stock had been. The store seems to be very untidy because of this and there are more... See more

Somewhat shocking
My latest experience. Foolishly I shopped in a busy period and the muzak rubbish had been turned up in volume. Tesco playing with customer psychology I guess to just speed things up. They lost out as I sped through my short shopping list and refused to browse, presumably the Tesco intent. But worse when I commented on my experience to the checkout supervisor and she replied that she "did not care"! Apart from that appalling failure reasonably friendly. I bet you would not get that response in Waitrose or M&S! Not that either store is represented where I live - too far to travel for a wee shop.
When the price is not as advertised.
24 Pepsi max cans advertised on TV and tesco.com as £11.25 reduced to £7.50 with clubcard.
So decided to pop into my local store to get a pack but they were £13 reduced to £9 with clubcard, Manager advised they do NOT need to match advertised prices ?
Spoke with customer service who patronisingly explained that tesco.com was NOT their online shopping portal and i would need to log in , log in and it`s the same site ?
Asked her to explain why tesco.com listed all tesco products with prices then and got told if i did not understand that you have to use the app to get best prices then there was no need to continue the call and cleared down.
I understand people have long weeks and busy day`s but If that is her understanding of Customer Service then may be a career change is needed.
As Tesco do not seem to realise customers have a choice i then popped into Iceland and got same product for £8.
If Price is NOT available as per TV and Online then this needs to be part of the advertisment / promotion.
Bishop Auckland Tesco
A huge thank you to Bishop Auckland Tesco who went above and beyond to get my shopping to me, after their van broke down. I thought it was going to be cancelled but they went out of their way to get it to me. Excellent customer service all round from the store and delivery drivers. Many thanks & much appreciated.
You just couldn't make this company up
You just couldn't make this company up. I think it will eventually go the same way as Woolworths. A total inability to move with the times. I've made a suggestion to their customer services email address which bounces back as 'unmanned!' Tried head office.. Same result. Hilarious... Will never purchase anything at Tesco again. What a shambles..
Tesco Marketplace is an Absolute Shambles From Start to Finish
Bought a Shark FlexBreeze fan through the Tesco website. Ordering was simple and only took a couple of clicks. Ordered on Wednesday with delivery booked for Friday.
Friday arrived and there was no dispatch notice, no delivery update and no email to say it was even out for delivery. I contacted Tesco customer services only to be told I needed to contact the seller directly. This was the first time I was informed that Tesco use third party sellers on their website.
I then contacted the seller who told me the item was actually out of stock and would not be delivered. When I tried to cancel the order, the seller told me I had to speak to Tesco. I contacted Tesco again and they then tried to send me back to the seller.
At that point I refused, as far as I am concerned I purchased the item through Tesco and Tesco should take responsibility for sorting it out. I was then told it could take up to 3 working days just to cancel the order and up to 10 working days for the refund.
Absolutely ridiculous experience. Tesco online shopping is clearly not the same as buying directly from Tesco if problems arise. Very poor communication, no accountability and customers just get passed backwards and forwards between Tesco and third party sellers.
I will never purchase anything online from Tesco online again and would strongly advise others to shop elsewhere.

My complain is about tesco club card
My complain is about tesco club card. I know I have a £5 voucher sitting at tesco website for a long time.
I contacted the customer services and was informed that the voucher would be sent on May 18th. After a wait of 11days, I realised that tesco is not sending anything. What tesco sent me a while ago was vouchers to spend £70 every week for 10% discount on my groceries.
Do they really think I am going to spend all that money each week to buy rotten fruit and poor quality vegetables and put up with their rude staff? I moved on to Sansbury, Morrissons, Aldi and sometimes Waitrose for different products and I do not regret it.
Ian, the staff I spoke on the phone was nice, and I was sent a link to review it. I did a good review which I regret because he never sent my voucher.

Appalling customer service from your Beverley store on Thursday 28th May, went in to do our full weekly shop, full big trolley full and it was about 10pm, all tills were closed except the very small basket only tills and not one member of your staff could be bothered to help,
Also we wanted to purchase a few bits for another family member and pay by the cash they had given us, that was not possible as all open tills were card only, again appalling service, The store is supposed to be open untill 10.30 pm so why are the manned tills closed before 10pm not everyone has cards and to also close the bigger trolley self tills is just ridiculous.

Tesco mixed leaf salad slimy and inedible. Out of date food regularly on shelves, fresh kale brown and full of core. The fresh herbs such as basil and mint bad brown and either slimy or dried up. Quality is appalling and prices rising. Shame on you tesco for lack of quality and fresh food. Not just on this occasion but on several visits recently.
Lack off Hygiene practices in store (salisbury)
I have given 1 star as there is not a zero
I had popped into tescos southampton rd salisbury to do my shopping when i visited the bread section and just picked up a stone baked white 600g loaf (wrapped). As i moved away and looked at my shopping list. I moved over to alow a member of staff in to get to the bread section as she was picking for an order, she bent down to pick up a loaf (ibelieve a tiger blomer)to my horror her hair brushed accross the fresh unrapped bread and she handled the unwrapped bread whith her bare hands, no gloves. As you can imagine the amount of gems/bacteria she would have picked up just doing her job. Even I do not handel my own bread when shopping without disposible gloves as bread can not be wiped down afterwards.
The woman in question had long hair edging towards the middle of her back, I would have thought that Health and Safety regulations would have required anyone with longish hair to be secured up to prevent hygine and safety issues occuring......Not impressed
Gold Stars
I would just like to highly recommend the Whoosh delivery service that Tesco offers, it is absolutely brilliant. Very quick and the delivery guys are brilliant, so helpful. I am at home with a broken wrist and used this service 3 times now and cannot go shopping so this service was just what I needed. Triple gold stars to all that are involved with this service, you guys are my hero's, well done.
As a disabled elderly man went shopping
As a disabled elderly man i went to Tesco Castle lane Bournemouth to buy trousers.
Firstly Upstairs there was a disabled toilet, i needed to use it. There was not one staff member on the floor to open it for me or to help me with my shopping. When i had chosen the trousers i asked a staff member where i could try them on? this was her answer "take them to the male toilets". So after a real struggle in the stinking cubical i left the store. I got home to find that the alarm tag was still attatched. Off back to the store today (5 mile) to get alarm off. When talking to staff instore i got the same answer. "WE dont have enough staff", It seems to me that Tesco only care about getting purcheses through the tills, NOT thier customers. 1 out of 10 and will not be shopping there again.
Dire shopping experience
Went in as usual to Tesco in Horwich not one freezer cabinet was working. Same happened the week before with their fridge cabinets. Decided to go into Tesco Farnworth. This one at Farnworth is dire. Same two female staff standing about talking every time you go in. Endless trolleys with stock blocking the aisles. Surprise surprise their freezer cabinets were not working either. Another shopper said it has been like that for the previous week as well.
What is going on with Tesco these days. When it first opened up the staff were really helpful and kept the shop well maintained but now it seems they want their customers go elsewhere.

Terrible service from Tesco
Terrible service from the Loughborough Store. Our order was due to be delivered on a Tuesday night 6-7pm. The order didn’t arrive, and phone calls or online chat didn’t result in a response.
We contacted Tesco again in the morning and were promised over chat that the order would arrive that day from 6-7pm (but you won’t see it on the app 🤔).
Unsurprisingly the delivery didn’t arrive, and when we complained again we were told the store manager “might” contact us.
Won’t be holding our breath. And won’t be using Tesco again.

I swapped £12.50 of my clubcard vouchers for £25 hungry horse. when I ordered my meals I ordered 2 classic meals monday to friday £13 however when she scanned my vouchers the price changed to £9,79 each
£19.58 I queried this and was told no two offers can be accepted but it is my understanding when you have a voucher this is like cash with no change
I bought Tesco Finest Dine in meal…
I bought Tesco Finest Dine in meal deal. This included, when viewed online, bottles of Coca Cola. However, in store they only had cans of Coca Cola in that fridge section. Annoyed that when I got home I had paid considerably more because the can of pop were not included, despite being in same fridge. This is deception at its finest. I’m a long term Tesco shopper but will now migrate to Morrisons
Tesco Clifton Moor Bad Show!
This morning 27th May 2026 decided to do a shop at Tesco Clifton Moor around 10.30am with my husband.
The store was fairly busy it is half term of course, however, we managed to find most of our shopping list but I could not find beef stock ( the kind that’s in the fridge in pouches , not dried). I asked an employee as to where I could find it, she randomly waved her hand and told me to look in the meat section. I returned to the meat section but could not locate it so gave up. Thought the Tesco ideal was to take the customers to the product? Well that’s a sale lost!
When we got to the till area where the assistants are at the conveyer belts, huge queues, only three cashiers working. I approached a young man assistant with black curly hair , lovely chap, very courteous, and asked if it were possible to have more cashiers on as there were four to five persons queuing to be served at each till. He straight away went and found a lady and she was stood with him next to me. I explained that I had enquired about the possibility of more tills being opened as by now the front of the waiting area for the tills was packed and people could not get by. She completely ignored me, looking past me as I spoke to her (politely I will add), only to completely turn her back on me and walk away without any recognition whatsoever.
Shame on you Tesco, I worked in that store in the early 2000s, it was policy thst the customer was king, you took the customer to the product and interacted with them to complete the purchase. Also I remember the only one in front of you rule, before another cashier was put on a till to keep queues moving. It beggars belief what your customer services training entails!
I am in my sixties and so is my husband, maybe Im missing something? Does Customer Service matter to Tesco, you have the labels around the store “Aldi Price Match’ maybe you should try “Aldi service Match” as I have never encountered anything like this in their shop or at their tills, they have the policy of having enough staff to open tills as needed. I have just recently returned to shopping at Tesco as I have been a regular Aldi shopper, big mistake, Im taking my custom and money back to Aldi, people who care and make you feel valued. Bad show!
