Fantastic service!
Recently bought an Abarth 595 from the Thames Motor Group, sales team were brilliant especially Ian and Max, very quick to deal with queries, can’t fault them!
Car buying experience at Thames Motor Group
From the moment I walked in I felt at ease with the polite and smart young salesman Max he seemed extremely knowledgable about the car I was interested in and was very patient with my various questions, thank you for a pleasant car buying experience will be definitely recommending to friends and family
Fabulous experience
I had a very positive experience at the Tunbridge Wells branch, extremely helpful I couldn’t fault a thing! I dealt with a very helpful man named Max, thank you for finding me my perfect car!
Car dealership with a difference
Lovely showroom, helpful staff and friendly atmosphere. I felt welcome immediately and the sales people were helpful without being over pushy. As a female, I would highly recommend a visit here as it differs from others I have visited recently where I haven’t had a good experience at all.
Refreshing fabulous motor dealer experience
A totally different type of car dealer- the whole experience is professional, friendly and efficient.
Had a service recently, offered a car for the day but needed mine for a holiday so they did the service while I waited in the comfortable customer area with great range of magazines and refreshments and a tv to keep me occupied.
I bought my Jeep from Thames and after having a range of difference cars and dealer experiences over the last 25 years, will struggle to ever find one as good.
My new car
Honest and dependable as always !
Thank you to Jeff for looking after me so well, I’m unsure how the below comments have come around! I see a perfectly family run business doing it’s very best for each and every customer ( including me ! )
Again thank you Thames motor group, I look forward to the next purchase with yourselves.
Thames Fiat Tunbridge Wells
This is my 2nd new car from Thames Motors Tunbridge Wells. When in showroom & purchasing a new car they are very good. Once out of the showroom they are horrendous!!!!! They never call back, they never do what they say they’re going to do. My latest problem is I’ve had a new windscreen fitted & unfortunately it had had to go back to them to have the dash cam re collaborated. When I arrived they had no knowledge of my car being booked in. After speaking to Autowindscreens they miraculously found my booking. I returned later that day to collect my fixed car only to find it hadn’t been fixed, due to a problem them with their machine! Re booked for today & was told it would be 90 minutes to do. Guess what? Two and half hours later & im still waiting in the showroom, it’s still not done!!!!!!
For your own sanity think before entering this dealership!!!!

Great experience with the service team
Great experience with the service team. All staff were more than helpful on both of my visits. Great communication, amazing knowledge and perfect service. I'll see you soon :)
They turn one problem into three!
Took my car in for a service and had to have cam belt and water pump replaced. Total cost for service and replacements was £660. The very next day, my car lost power due to over-heating on the motorway. This happened twice more (on the way to and from the airport - not ideal!) so I took the car back in. Water pump fitted was faulty, so they replaced that (no apology though). Whilst doing that work they found two 'unrelated' faults. My spark plugs and engine thermostat needed replacing. After being initially quoted £400 (!!!) for this, they gave me a 'heavy discounted' price of £140 which they tried to charge me without my agreement on the price. In the end the manager admitted that he wasn't really sure if they should be charging me for the spark plugs (my question is why they were on the bill in the first place then!?) so he took those off. They had 'very kindly' taken off 0.8 hours of labour costs. When I pointed out that dealing with this had taken significantly more of my time, I was met with little more than a shrug of the shoulders. They offered me some vouchers for reduced services in the future, to which I replied that I certainly WILL NOT be coming back here! After giving in and paying £93, I now see that the start/stop function has stopped working on my car. I just pray I don't have to go back...

Almost Fraudulent
Almost Fraudulent
I bought a used car from this Group and it went wrong badly. To the tune of 25% of the value of the car. There was literally nothing they or FIAT would do to help. I had this on Finance and I am left paying for a used car that has cost me the price of a new one.
The car had done 33K miles and had been driven below the mileage on Finance. The rservice people were not willing to discount Labour or Parts to any degree despite initially both FIAT and TMG agree to do so. Just beyond the pale..DONT USE TMG EVER.

Thames Motor Group misrepresented and defective cars
Bought a new car from this company last year, they had told me that they would fit a Remote start system as part of the deal, they had ordered the system and would fit it as soon as it arrived. Once i had paid my deposit they brought the car to show me that evening, it had a crack in the windscreen "they hadn't noticed" funnily enough it had been hidden under a sticker they had removed, when i finally got that car back 1 Month later the delivered it in the dark, i checked the car next morning and the bodywork was all out of shape and the rear wings were hanging off (This was a brand new car) I took the car back to the dealership in Slough and told them I wasnt taking that car and the deal was off, they tryed to tell me that i had to take it because i had signed the paperwork. I gave them back thier keys and walked out, the manager phoned me the next day an apologised and said they had found another car of that type and that he would check it over very carefully before i went to see it, i accepted this and took the car, i checked all around it before I took it away and it seemed fine, i didn't check under the bonnet or the boot, a couple of weeks later i found rust spots so took it back to them. Finally 3 months later they told me that the Remote start system had arrived and they would fit it, they took my car again, two days later the phone me up and said the couldn't fit it, so i told them that i wanted to reject the car as this is the only reason i bought it, they refused and said i was past the 30 day return period, i am still dealing with this situation and in the process of now taking them to court
Stay well away

Car damaged by 'technicians' who then claimed it had been in a crash!!
I recently took my car in for a fog light to be replaced under warranty, it was in pristine, unmarked condition.
When I went to collect the car the front bumper wasn't fitted correctly.
They quickly rushed the car back into the workshop and when it came out it was slightly better but still noticeable.
When I asked why they couldn't return it back to the condition it came in as, they told me that the car had been in an accident in the past but they could fix it for a price.
I argued with the service desk but we just went round in circles, so I took the car to the repair centre that I always use, who agreed that the car had never been in a crash as all the original stickers were on the parts behind the bumper and the bumper had been just torn off during the warranty 'fix'. I'm a used car dealer, so have a lot of dealings with other dealers and repair centres and this is the worst service that I've ever experienced. The parts department on the other hand have always been excellent when I've had to deal with them in the past.
If I could rate the Thames Motor Group …
If I could rate the Thames Motor Group as zero or better still a minus I would.
It's all about the sale and I honestly believe they knowingly sold me a dud.
Customer service is non existent and they are very selective of the reviews they share, of course only good ones.
I would urge any one buying a car from their Tunbridge Wells branch to think twice , please take into account my review and the previous reviewer. I'm sure there are more but Thames motor group will not show them !
My brand new car was scratched
My brand new car was scratched on both bumpers. Incorrect badges fitted. Not enough petrol in it to get me home. Weve got your money. Theres the keys. Bye. My car was not ready to be picked up. Now going through so much stress to get car put right as per order/agreement. Salesman very rude. Will lose a days wages and have to sit there all day to get car fixed/put right as service dept only open during the week. I should not be in this situation. My car should have been perfect. I shouldnt have been told to collect it until it was. Jeff Dutton should have got his facts right. This is his fault. 2 weeks on so far. No joy yet. Its quite shocking. Didnt even go through the controls on car or offer a test drive.
I contacted Thames motors fiat in …
I contacted Thames motors fiat in Slough. It was such a refreshing change to find the service advisors so helpful and the parts manager went the extra mile to help me decipher an invoice received in German for repairs done abroad. Well done on the friendly helpful attitude your help was greatly appreciated.
