online retailer of baby and nursery equipment has put all its stock up for auction.

Huddersfield based The Baby Room, which described itself as a seller of luxury children's brands, is off loading hundreds of prams, car seats and accessories to the highest bidder.

The auction, which even includes warehouse racking, is being hosted by West Yorkshire's Walker Singleton.

The listing says the auction has been instructed by the directors of Sekhri Enterprises Ltd, trading as The Baby Room, "pending appointment of liquidators."

A total of 454 lots are available for viewing at a location in Huddersfield, between 10am and 2pm on Wednesday, March 18.

Bids close at noon the following day.

The auction details say: "Lots are sold 'as is; where lying'." Winning buyers will have to collect them in person from the Huddersfield premises.

Companies House information shows Sekhri Enterprises was run by 44-year-old Bindey Mirza of Birkby, who previously ran Bambino Direct, which also went into liquidation back in 2011.

A spokesperson for the company claimed a mistaken police investigation had resulted in the difficulties for The Baby Room.

They said 16 people had lost their jobs after the police probe shut down their website.

The Baby Room was based at Nile Street in Folly Hall and employed 25 people, its Companies House report reveals.

Its last accounts for 2019 show it declined to file a report of its profit and losses.

But the accounts do show it had more than £1m in assets, of which £799,818 was stock, up from just £29,650 in stock the year before.

This company is a rogue and a thief !!! On 10/01/2020 I ordered a double stroller with order SA048660, which was to be delivered by 24/01/2020. They neither delivered to me what I paid over 300 euros for, nor did they want to contact me !!! On 30.01.2020 after talking on the phone left for contact they promised that by 15.02.2020 I would receive my order, BUT after 10 days the phone no longer answered !!!! I have informed both the police in England and the one in Bulgaria, I hope that these people have allowed themselves to cause me and my family not to go unpunished !!!

I placed my order on December of 2019. Immediatelly I`ve got a confirmation e-mail about my delivery date will be 8th of January. On that date, I emailed them to ask why I haven't got a message about my order. They replied saying that they are so sorry, but they have a lot of orders, and ask me to be patient, they promised next week they gonna send my order. A week later I tried to e-mailed them, my emails were not delivered. I never heard from them again. I called the number, no one answered. I sent a text message with my order number and my contact details. No one replied... I`m so dissapointed and angry!!! My baby is coming soon, but I have to deal with this sh*, because nothing happening. I have to order this item, from somewhere else, and it`s so sad, they can do what they want with our money and the police is useless...

Do not use this company, you will not receive the goods you pay for.

Unfortunately worse fears confirmed a couple of week back. ordered on 5th Jan, nothing on 21st when expected so waited I was even prepared to wait a month longer than expected. They (the baby room) tried to say they had been mistaken with another company that had liquidated but all along it was them all along. I actually got through to the guy on the phone who said my order would be fulfilled by OBaby by 1st week Feb - all nonsense. I spoke to Obaby who confirmed they haven't been sending order for them for more than 3-4 months and no payment received from The Baby Room. So money taken and I know Yorkshire police are involved due to the high volume of fraud reports and complaints. I am not getting into that part as justice will surely be service. Money returned by credit card company and will order Nursery from reputable company. The Baby room was a reputable company before the previous owners sold in 2018 and Sekhari enterprises took over, running it into the ground. Go to your bank and get money back and move on.

I ordered two car seat the 13th of january and no delivery. I try to call and e-mail them but the phone number and e-mail adresse are no longer available. My number order os SA049140. I would like to know when I will receive the goods. Thank you.

This company has scammed lots of people and now reopened under a slightly different name than before. They take your money but don’t send the goods.

This is a con. THe company used to be called the baby room but was shut down due to it taking peoples money and never delivering the item. The company released a statement saying it wasnt their fault that they essentially couldnt manage the orders, suppliers and customer services. Basically they couldnt run a business.

1) I wish i would have know a bit more about how “TRUST” (i use that word loosely you will see why) pilot reviews worked before placing an order with THE BABY ROOM!
2) The hundred of good reviews about the Baby room are invited by the babyroom to write a review.... Trust Pilots website says the following about inviting....

“#1. When invitations are sent via Trustpilot
All businesses using Trustpilot are welcome to invite their customers to leave reviews. If they do so with our automated email invitation tools (via our free or paid services), those invited reviews will be marked as Verified

as I understand it there are no physical checks done by trust pilot to confirm a purchase was ever really made unless the Company dispute the review! Why would they dispute a good review?? Hence, no checks!! Theres were i fell for the Baby Room Scam... I trusted the good reviews DONT!

Also - look at the green tick at the top near the Baby Room Outlet name....Asking for reviews... what does that mean i hear you say....

“This company regularly asks their customers for reviews — whether positive or negative.

What does this mean?
Companies who regularly ask their customers to review them using Trustpilot’s invitation services tend to have a more representative star rating. Any company can claim their profile and ask their customers to review them for free.”

Asking who though??!! Looks like they definitely know how to “play” the review game ay!

3) Now lets talk Baby Room and Baby Room Outlet - The Baby Room took my money over 2 months ago, to this day my order has never arrived! No refund, no nothing!! There responses about the website being taken down in error are quite frankly BORING!! *yawns* heres why....
4) They state in their responses they are doing the best they can (sorry another yawn) to fulfil orders placed with the Baby Room..yet in the meantime they have set up another website The BABY ROOM OUTLET taking more peoples money, unable to fulfil orders....WHAT??!!

**Also speak to the manufacturers of the different products, ask about shipping to this Company, the one i spoke to had not had an order from them apparently...funny that!!

5) They report any post that highlights this Company negatively as they want to continue praying on venerable mums!! Disgusting!! Just look how many posts are unable to view because they have been reported by the Baby Room Outlet due to breach of guidelines??!!! What all the negative ones, leaving all the “invited reviews”??!!

You cant complete orders but you have time to sit and invite people for reviews...another WHAT??!! moment

Great price, good arrived on schedule, however I opted for text updates on the delivery, which happened when the parcel was given to the courier, however no further delivery updates were sent, which meant I missed the delivery from DPD

Hi, I ordered a wobble board for my son's birthday. My order number is SA048606.
The order was due two weeks ago.
Could I please have an update? I tried emailing but to no avail.
I purchased from this website before Christmas also and was quite pleased with the service. I am still hopeful that everything works out with this order too.

Still waiting on my money back for an item that never arrived! I haven been waiting since October 2019.

I placed my order on 10 Jan 2020. The total for my order was £138.56. On 16 Jan 2020, I emailed them to ask why I haven't got a message saying my order hasn't been dispatched. They replied saying that they are expensing issues and my order will be dispatched on the week commensing 20 Jan. I never heard from them again. Their old website went down around 17 Jan. Whenever I emailed them, my emails were not delivered. I got hope a few days later when they provided their mobile phone number. But whenever I called the number, no one answered. I sent a text message with my order number and my contact details. No one replied to the text message until today. I hope one day God pays back the owner of this company in the worst possible way. What goes round comes back around. The company has no consideration of how much they affecting people's lives.

I would like to be reimbursed for the money of the order number SA048601 with delivery date 01/24/2020; since it will not be necessary to send (nor do I think they never send it) the car seat I ordered, since the baby was already born and I had to buy another one. Please answer and refund the money to my account as there is no way to contact you.

I ordered a baby Style hollie slay cot bed on 30/11/2019 order number SA043633.

My husband got through to a kind gentleman who explained the situation and said that they were waiting on the supplier to deliver some parts. It's been well over 2 weeks since we waited since this last phone call. I have now taken it upon myself to sort it out as my husband didn't want me to stress considering I'm about to give birth any moment HOWEVER my nursery is not complete and has no cot leaving me upset and distressed at what should be a special moment for us.

Please can you just update me if I'm going to get my beautiful cot or not. I just need an answer.
