Dishonourable

Dishonourable - website says honouring 2019 holidays but reality is they are not - credit company used has clause in contract meaning no protection - we've lost over £2000 - high risk.

I am very saddened to hear of all the…

I am very saddened to hear of all the customers who are now at risk and jobs lost thanks to the pure greed and evil of Simon Moir and his family.

The minute I started working for the company I could see it was in shambles. Customers were lied to, suppliers were not paid and staff were treated so badly, many were in tears on a daily basis. Even local recruitment agents refused to work with them due to the reputation they had for treating staff.

I only hope the administrators are able to help those who trusted in the company, investing their life savings, and those involved are investigated fully.

Administration- customer advice

As we all know they are in administration. Deloitte are now manning the customer service email of dream lodge and so you should email them for confirmations/refunds etc. The chap from Deloitte who’s phone number is listed further down is no longer the right course of action as they need everything documented.

They are now trying to keep all bookings until the end of March but have no idea what to do after that as they are guided by the sale of dream lodge

Hi- I am one of the many ex employees…

Hi- I am one of the many ex employees of the dreamlodge group. We were told in the middle of November that the company was up for sale and immediately alarm bells started ringing. We were worried that we would not get paid, but did at the end of November. However, we were then asked to only work our contracted hours and that if we had any holiday owing to take it off instead of claiming it in holiday pay. After a frustrating build up to Christmas, we were still no wiser about how safe our jobs were, holiday bookings were down and none of our deliveries were coming through. In the second week of January we were told to all attend work on the 14th january so that an announcement could be made to employees via a telephone call at 11am- no phone call came- instead 2 lovely men, all suited and booted arrived at the office and announced that they were from Deloitte, that dreamlodge had gone into administration and that as off that day we were to be made redundant.
Now I feel that I am quite fortunate that I had served exactly 2 years and was therefore entitled to redundancy money, albeit 3 weeks wages. Some of my colleagues were less fortunate as most of them had served less than 2 years so are only entitled to whatever hours they had worked and holiday money. Thankfully, the team at Deloitte have been very helpful to myself and I have had some of the money owed to me. I would say that the members of staff who kept their jobs are still not safe if you read all the reviews- thankfully I have found another job, my friends and workmates havnt.
I am more concerned about the owners who live on the parks- all lovely people who do not deserved to be treated the way they have by dreamlodge.

Ex Employee

I Am an Ex Employee of The Dream Lodge Group. I left two years ago and doesn't look like anything has changed!
I worked on the holiday side of the company, we were forced to sell holidays to customers where the parks did not even exist! The parks had no lodges on them we knew no information about the parks apart from what we was given from the Directors! We were told to lie to customers all the time about how scenic the lodges were when they were all stacked on top of each other with no Privacy! Told to lie to holiday makers that their Hot tub's were broken when in fact the customer had been moved into another lodge without one!My heart goes out to all the owners and people that have given this company their hard earnt savings. I left the dream lodge group as the stopped a payment for form 5K yearly bonus and my months commission for that month they do not care about anyone but themselves!!! I am not the only one they did this to.The way the company is run is a total joke, if your not close with the Moir's then they dont give a Damn about you! The 'Customer Services Manager' has no time for customers and would always say she wasn't at her desk! As for the Moir's they are selfish money Grabbers and will take what ever they can from anyone! They are probably sunning themselves in the south of France on owners hard earnt savings! Lodges were sold to customers at Blossom hill park in Devon when the Moirs didnt even have planning permison for these but holiday bookings were still taken in these lodges knowing full well these will have to be cancelled!! I cannot stress enough how bad this company is to work and do not give them any money!!

I am an ex employee who left the Dream…

I am an ex employee who left the Dream Lodge Group nearly 18 months ago. Having worked in the Sales team, I left because I could foresee these problems happening and I’m surprised the company lasted as long as it did. PLEASE DO NOT BLAME THE STAFF WHO WORKED HERE!! The owner of the company fed the staff with constant lies which they were told to relay back to customers who were both investing in lodges and booking holidays. No one knew what was happening from day to day as Simon Moir changed the rules almost daily. The pay structure was constantly changed so it was impossible to earn a decent wage there. He is a nasty, greedy individual who has no regard for anyone but himself. He has ruined a lot of people’s lives. I really hope everyone who worked there goes on to much better things!

Good to see so many positive reviews…

Good to see so many positive reviews when this company was in better times so lets hope the current financial situation can be resolved to some degree of satisfaction. I say that as someone who currently stands to loose their life savings so feeling sick to the core.

If anyone has any genuine reason to believe the directors of this company have acted in an improper way I would urge them to contact the administrators, Deloittes, who's details are further down this thread. I'm no expert but I believe finding them guilty of improper actions is the only way their 'personal' wealth will help pay some of the creditors. If that can't be proven they will remain rich on our money whilst many others loose everything.

I wish everyone well.

I believe this is Simon Moir’s fourth administration and I pray that he does not start up another company. He and his partner Lisa Moir have conned their way through life bringing misery to so many people who have earned their money. Not like them. I do hope prosecutions are brought and they spend time behind bars. Karma I hope is on it’s way.

DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY, DO NOT MAKE ANY BOOKINGS. THE COMPANY IS IN ADMINISTRATION THEY HAVE NOT PAID WHAT IS OWED TO ME AS AN OWNER/INVESTOR THEY HAVE SHAFTED THEIR EMPLOYEES MAKING THEM REDUNDANT WITH NO INTENTION OF PAYING THEIR WAGES. THE OWNERS OF THE COMPANY HAVE DISAPPEARED AND IT IS VERY CLEAR THE COMPANY WILL SOON DECLARE BANKRUPSY. THEY HAVE CON’D MANY PEOPLE AND ARE STILL SELLING HOLIDAYS AND PEOPLE HAVE PURCHASED NEW HOLIDAY HOMES WHICH HAVENT BEEN BUILT YET AND HAVE LOST OUT ON THOUSANDS MAYBE EVEN MILLIONS OF POUNDS. ANYONE LOOKING FOR A REFUND ON FUTURE BOOKINGS THEY HAVE MADE WILL NEVER SEE THAT MONEY AGAIN. THEIR DISGUSTING PEOPLE AND STILL HAVE THE NERVE TO TRADE AND TAKE PEOPLES MONEY. PLEASE IF YOU ARE AN OWNER MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PAPERWORK AND DEEDS FOR OWNERSHIP AS IT TOOK US A YEAR AFTER PURCHASE TO OBTAIN THESE DOCUMENTS. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PAPERWORK THEN I SUGGEST YOU SEEK LEGAL ADVISE AS YOU MAY BELIEVE YOU OWN YOUR HOLIDAY HOME BUT IN ACTUAL FACT DO NOT WHICH WILL BE SOLD AS AN ASSET OF DREAM LODGE TO PAY ANY DEBT THEY OWE. I HAVE ALSO BEEN ADVISED TO CHECK OWNERSHIP CONTRACT AND READ THEM CAREFULLY AS THE PAPERWORK MAY APPEAR AS OWNERSHIP BUT CAN STATE THAT BY LAW YOU DO NOT ACTUALLY OWN YOUR HOLIDAY HOME. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR THEY DESERVE TO BE ARRESTED FOR FRAUD, IMBESSALMENT AND OFFSURING MONEY ABROAD IN ITALY AND POSSIBILY MANY OTHER COUNTRIES.

THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEIRSELVES ESPECIALY AS THE MAJORITY OF THEIR CLIENTS ARE CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE RETIRED AND HAVE NOW LOST THEIR LIVELIHOODS AS WELL AS THEIR LIFE SAVINGS

Thoughts and sympathy for all the bereft staff

Really well looked-after by Head Office staff Kirsty Ratcliffe, and the local team at Blossom Hill - lovely park - Debbie and Sarah.
While I have apparently lost the 33 days left in my contract bundle, I am really far more sorry to hear how the staff have been treated. They were loyal, cheerful and hard-working to the last and deserve much better. We investors may have been left out of pocket and/or financially embarrassed but the staff have had their whole lives turned inside out. I wish them ALL a better future in 2019

Getting your money back - dream lodges

Don’t not book with “The Dream Lodge Group”

Please call Rob Luff on 01159360788 from Deloitte and explain what you are owed.
Rob will then give you a website (doesn’t allow web links on here) this has the document that you will need to get your money back if you paid via a credit card and proof they have gone into administration.

Hope that helps.
