Nice gym with plenty of equipment. Open all hours which is excellent and even going when it is busy, the amount of equipment means you always have an alternative if the machine you want is in use. The down side is the changing room and toilet/shower. It smells awful, a real ammonia smell that is just revolting. I would not shower here. I did not want to spend more than 2 minutes changing here.

Decent gym, has all the basic equipment you need and open 24 hours which is great.
Only thing is that the studio is not open 24 hours, and there’s no other alternate options of cardio much as a boxing bag, but that’s just a personal preference.

My biggest issue with this gym is the atmosphere. The music is boring and repetitive and it’s dark and dull! I find it very difficult to get motivated here! You’re better off elsewhere.

Fantastic friendly welcoming club. Staff are first class. Always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

Been going here for nearly 6 months and I feel great. My goals were to lose some weight but tone and build muscle. Today I hit a personal best by hitting my first 100kg on the flat bench and decline bench. This was all down to the help and advice I was given by Jakub. He gave me some liquid gold pointers which helped me achieve the lift 💪🏻🤛🏻 thanks bud!!

What a brilliant , clean well managed gym! Had my first ever re balance session with Lorna, an experienced, motivating and encouraging teacher, even a newcomer like me felt at ease and not judged in any way, just helped every step of the way. The Gym Group Wakefield as a whole is utterly fantastic, clean, well equipped , spacious and very welcoming and friendly. A bit on the cold side for me but I don’t do cardio so I understand it has to be colder for that aspect.Can highly recommend it and a great price too and free parking.

Great class

I’ve been going here a while now and cannot thank the staff enough. I came in today and felt quite conscious of working out downstairs, so Luke ended up lifting the trap bar up stairs for me and the weights! And also downstairs I cannot begin to appreciate the effort the staff go through to ensure their customers feel safe and comfortable :)

I went to gym group wakefield, did pilates, loved it, Gail is great teacher makes everyone feel at ease.

Lorna is always friendly with me always support me in My training in classes

One of the best gyms I’ve ever been,wide car park, the staff all friendly,clean and tidy,the only issue I noticed since I joined is a leg extensions ,there is only one equipment ,most of the time you have to Wait for along time .

Iv have been a member for mamy years at this site. Great staff always happy to help and give advice well maintained equipment clean enviroment.

Brilliant gym and great staff. Would highly recommend Sam Balmer as a personal trainer - he makes me work too hard but I’ve definitely seen great results in my fitness levels 😀. Always a pleasure to work with 👍

Been coming here for nearly 10 yrs now, good all round gym , worth every penny!

Brilliant range of classes. Lorna makes the place, she is so positive and pushes people to do their best. She is amazing at what she does.
