I recently used The Leak Detection Company for a suspected underground supply pipe leak at my home in London E13. From the first enquiry, their response was incredibly fast – they replied within hours and even brought the appointment forward to the next day.

The engineer, Jimmy, was outstanding! He arrived on time, explained everything clearly and patiently step by step – from the stop valve test to the different detection methods (thermal imaging, acoustic, tracer gas etc.). He took his time to make sure I fully understood what was happening, even showed me the live results on site.

The report is by far the most detailed one I've ever seen: full of clear photos, exact location details, testing process, results explanation, and recommendations. It was perfect for my home insurance claim (Halifax trace and access reimbursement).

The whole team is very professional, honest about pricing (minimum charge was clear upfront), and the service truly delivered – they found the leak quickly and accurately.

Highly recommend! If you have a hidden leak, don't hesitate to call them – especially ask for Jimmy if possible. 10/10 experience.

I needed to confirm the location of a slow and long-term leak in a large area of saturated concrete screed. Booking an appointment was easy. The Engineer arrived on time and was very pleasant and proficient. The kit he was using was good and it all worked (thermal, damp, pressure testing and gas measuring). A leak was located in a particular section of one of several pipe runs, which was what we needed to know and a temporary remediation was provided as further building work will be required to the floor as part of an overall refit of the kitchen and WC. It took 4 hours to complete. Very pleased with the report and remediation. Prices for this service are expensive (similarly across other such companies), but this company was chosen for it's good feedback and as a family business, where other companies appear to have delivered less well. I do recommend this company based on my good experience and from the viewpoint of being a proficient and experienced DIY'er, including plumbing. Sometimes you need to get the professional experience and specialist tools.

Nick, the operative, came on time and quickly got to work with his expertise and established the most likely point at which an underground supply pipe had failed and burst without any above ground evidence, When the leak was repaired by a separate contractor a few days later, they dug down on the exact spot marked by Nick and were able to fix it in an hour. We had been losing about 200 litres of water an hour, downstream of our meter, which was proving very costly.

Your tecnician Anthony was very good and explained what he was doing at each step of investigaton, although he could not detect a leak the system seems to be working well after his departure.

The guy was really great, found and fixed the leak even though it was not straight forward.

Everything was very professional and well organised from the first phone call. Our engineer was prompt, polite, and thorough. He was very clear about the process, as well as explaining what he was doing at all times, and what he was finding. He managed to find the leak and repair it despite it being buried under several inches of concrete in the corner of a storeroom. They were very clear at all times about costs and itemisation and we had no surprises in that regard. We felt it was a reasonable price for a very efficient and effective service.

Prompt and friendly service. Our leak was detected and repaired with very little mess and despite it being under wooden flooring you could barely see that any work had been done. Anthony was friendly and efficient. They are not the cheapest but I would thoroughly recommend them.

Boiler kept loosing pressure and was told I have an under floor leakage which was found today by leak detection Ltd.

A great experience,Sunny Doal was very professional, arrived spot on time,explained everything that was going to happen in a calm and friendly manner. By mid afternoon the main leak had been found and a temporary fix carried out.along with some other recommendations that were relayed back to the boiler company and fixed under warranty. I would highly recommend this company.

After a bad experience diagnosing a hidden leak with a plumber arranged through our British Gas cover (who clearly didn’t even try) after a few days of worsening conditions, we contacted The Leak Detection Company via their website. They were really prompt in coming back to us (within an hour) and we arranged a visit for a few days later (as we were traveling). They subsequently reached out to say they had an earlier appointment due to a cancellation. We ended up being able to diagnose the issue in the interim, but their professionalism and customer service was excellent.

Jamie was courteous, promt, professional and very good at explaining things.

Excellent service. Friendly plumber. Explained the process thoroughly. Correctly identified asbestos materials during process. Managed to leave us with hot water while we waited for asbestos to be removed so leak could be fixed - we'd had two other plumbers around by that point and neither had thought to do that.

Nicholas was helpful and professional managed to identify a leak under the driveway within the intal call out time.

I am waiting for a repair to take place but based on my experience so far am pleased with the service.

Excellent service from this company from start to finish. Simon was very helpful and professional. He called me when he was on his way to give me an estimated time of arrival. He located the leak quickly which was coming from a pipe from my kitchen waste under the floor. He made a very small hole in my kitchen floor and used a camera to find the leak. Simon explained what he was doing and showed me the leak on the camera. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to fix the leak due to it being under kitchen units and inaccessible. Simon advised me to contact my insurance company and explained what his recommendations were to solve the issue. I received a report the following day which I was able to forward to my insurance company. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Simon and The Leak Detection Company.

A very nice guy came out, but honestly, it was just too expensive. left me £1000 lighter without a fix. In fairness, his departing Hail Mary "let's see" what tomorrow brings did actually reveal the problem, but if it didn't, I would still be £1000 down without a fix.
