Decent service, not bad though. There are alternatives at better price and higher quality, but this one has a lot of variety.

I purchased a theme through…

I purchased a theme through Themeforest. They took the money and when I downloaded the theme and while installing it.... it said 'The link is broken. Try again'. What a con. Don't go anywhere near these people as I am still waiting for service from author or Themeforest. They say, we are here to help. What a joke.

THEMEFOREST SCAMMED ME

After purchasing a theme from Envato Elements/ThemeForest, the payment went through, I received a confirmation email, and I downloaded the theme. But as soon as I tried to activate it, I was locked out of my account. For five days, I contacted support repeatedly, only to get automated responses from bots. Today, they finally responded with this message:

“I understand you wish to have the account unlocked, but your account has been permanently disabled, and we can’t provide you with any specific reason why. All I can say is that we have internal policies for business that we can't divulge.

I sincerely apologize for not being able to unlock your account and thank you for your understanding.

I'll be closing this ticket now as we've exhausted our options/information available.”

This is beyond unacceptable. I followed all necessary steps for a legitimate purchase, provided payment, and was only attempting to activate the theme I bought. I even provided Envato with the transaction confirmation email and proof of the bank transfer. Yet, I’m being denied access without any explanation. Not only did they waste my time and effort, but I’m also out of the money I paid.

It’s shocking that they’d treat customers this way, especially considering the thousands of similar complaints online. Envato’s handling of this issue feels deceptive and unfair. All I want is either my money back or access to the product I paid for. This experience has been incredibly disappointing.

Paid for a Wordpress theme which did…

Paid for a Wordpress theme which did not work correctly, lots of broken elements and elements which could not be changed e.g. default logo without paying extra.

I contacted theme support several times and they did not reply, so I contacted Envato support and they wanted "proof" that the theme did not work. I gave them proof via screenshots which they would not accept. They refused a refund as I had deleted the non-working site the next day (as it took several weeks for them to reply and I was on a deadline) and I had used an alternative template.

I then initiated a chargeback with my bank. Themeforest then proceeded to ban me permanently from their site.

I've bought many themes from them over the years but will never use them again.

ThemeForest - Avoid.

We have experienced many problems with the themes we have purchased from this platform. Most recently Exline by Nine themes. We uncovered various issues, including bad code and unresponsiveness. Addressing these concerns can prove to be both time-consuming and costly. To achieve the desired functionality of the theme, we had to make several changes by removing or replacing various elements and adding code. The theme came with a plugin called Option Tree which was sponsored by Envato (ThemeForest). However, this plugin had been abandoned by the developer a couple of years back. So there had been no recent updates or support. Subsequently it caused many issues. Trying to get a theme update to fix this plugin became impossible due to the unhelpfulness of Envato's customer service.

the worst ever

While they started out okay, just as fast it spiraled out of control over the years in terms of very bad quality products, customer service is a joke and their return 'process' is perhaps what makes this site a complete scam artist. Their return policy is you having to reach a verbal agreement with the developer, and most of them are off shore, foreign speaking and will argue as if you're trying to sever one of their fingers and asking them which one. There are like 1-3 decent products, mostly wordpress plugins. but if you're paying over $20 you're overpaying. don't fall for their obvious new grift which is support. which is usually just a ticket portal with crappy 'customer service' geniuses that won't help you out actually.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid at All Costs!

I recently purchased an Elementor template from ThemeForest, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. Upon installation, I discovered that I couldn’t fully edit the template. Basic functions such as changing colours, fonts, or rearranging sections were locked, as everything was pre-configured in slides I couldn’t access. When I reached out to the seller for support, instead of providing me with clear instructions on how to make these changes, they asked for access to my site so they could make the changes themselves! 🤦‍♂️
Essentially, they expected me to build the entire site with them. This is absurd. I didn’t buy a template to hire the seller to customise it for me – I bought it to work independently.
I reported this to ThemeForest, and after weeks of waiting, they responded saying they are short-staffed and have a high volume of enquiries. I’ve provided all the required evidence, including screenshots and communication logs, but I’m still stuck in an endless queue with no resolution in sight. It’s beyond frustrating.
This whole experience has been a joke from start to finish. I expected a professional service, but what I got was completely subpar. I would strongly advise against purchasing from ThemeForest unless you’re prepared for poor customer service and limited support. I’m still waiting for a refund – hopefully that won’t take months too.

Piracy in broad daylight

I discourage any purchases.
You may buy a damaged template and after contacting the author of the template you will find out that he apologizes to you for not working.
No one will refund your money because Envato claims to be from outside the EU and does not follow consumer rights.
Literally black market and roulette. They should block this site in the EU.
To me this is piracy in broad daylight. Someone should look into this.

I bought Support Board

I bought Support Board - OpenAI Chatbot and the licence key don't work. Schiocco the developer is unreachable and no support on their website. Support chat is AI that is poorly trained. Themeforest is also unreachable. NO Ticket ID because ON SUPPORT form Schiocco or Themeforest.

Beware of LiquidThemes and Envato – False Promises, Broken Products, and Deceptive Support

We initially purchased a theme from LiquidThemes that looked great on the surface but quickly turned into a disaster. The demo imports simply didn’t work, starting with the Marketing demo. After spending too much time troubleshooting that, we moved on to "Starthub 8," only to face the same problems. Most of the demo resources were missing, and broken images appeared due to expired SSL certificates. This wasn't just a one-off issue; it seems to affect multiple demos.

Despite doing everything possible to resolve the issue on our end:

1. We switched hosting providers three times, finally using Namecheap.
2. Tried different versions of WordPress (6.6.x, 6.5.x, and 6.4.x).
3. Disabled all firewall options on the hosting before importing the demos.
4. Used different PHP versions (7.4, 8.3, 8.1).
5. Adjusted Elementor settings, updated libraries, and regenerated CSS.
6. Attempted over 20 clean installations to avoid issues with reimporting demos.
7. Exceeded all PHP limits as recommended in their documentation.
8. Only activated the plugins required for the import.

After all these steps, the imports still failed. LiquidThemes falsely blamed other factors (like plugins and hosting) instead of acknowledging the issues with their theme. Their themes may be visually appealing, but they are fundamentally broken and unusable in their current state.

As if the situation with LiquidThemes wasn’t bad enough, dealing with Envato’s support has been even worse. We reached out multiple times, providing detailed evidence such as videos, screenshots, and thorough debugging, but their responses were slow and unhelpful. When they did reply (after days of waiting), their responses were often templated and misleading. They claimed the issues were resolved when they clearly were not—something that could be easily verified with a simple check.

LiquidTheme support even promised us four additional licenses as compensation for the trouble we endured. Yet, those licenses were never delivered, and our 1-star review was deleted without any explanation. It’s evident that Envato is more concerned with protecting their sales and authors than with providing real support to their customers. This has been a colossal waste of over 15 days of our time and money.

In conclusion, both LiquidThemes and Envato have failed to deliver what was promised and have engaged in shady practices. We will keep our review up until this issue is genuinely resolved and we receive the apology and compensation we deserve.

Avoid at all costs if you value your time, money, and sanity.

P.S. Mar and Sophie from the support team are absolute horror, incredibly unhelpful.

Account Disabled

Worst experience with themeforest. I purchased a theme & a plugin which were having many bugs. I contacted the theme author but he didn't give any response and I raised a dispute on paypal for refund. As soon as I raised dispute on paypal, themeforest blocked my account. After some time, decision came in my favour on paypal and they refunded my money.

I again contacted themeforest to unblock my account but they are now saying that I have to send them money for the purchased products which is ridiculous. Still my account is blocked. I would not recommend anyone to purchase anything from themeforest because even if there are bugs in the application, they won't refund you money.

these guys are purveyors in scam artist…

these guys are professional scam artists. 'developers' who piece together a seemingly legit product. it fails, it fails FAST. then the same scum dares to charge an exorbitant fee for 'technical help'. after a long while it doesn't take a genius to understand most of their products are full of security issues, errors, flaws as they pull them from the shelves. their custom support isn't horrible its OFFENSIVE. their refund a complete joke and a waste of time (they will make you jump through hoops). PROFESSIONAL GRIFTING HUSTLERS BUYS BEWARE.

We bought template "
WPLMS Learning Management System for WordPress, WordPress LMS
" from Themeforest and follow the guide to installed it. But never works well. Many bugs since theme and the WPLMS core. The support team response very slow and never clearly answer all questions. It's been few months and we are still waiting for reply. So we gave up this one and looking for other template. We are asking for refund.
