I was charged with dangerous driving and was facing a minimum ban of 12 months plus a substantial fine. Ronnie's knowledge of the system managed to get this dropped to careless driving and I ended up with 6 points and £400 fine. I couldn't have been happier considering what it could have been. I was wrongly charged with drink driving in 2014. I was reported leaved my car in a nearby hotel car park heavily intoxicated. When I was later breathalysed by the Police, I was 3 times over the limit and facing a lengthy ban which would have been a disaster for me and my family. I had actually driven the car there earlier and was going back for my mobile phone.

I was given the details of the Road Traffic Lawyer from a close friend who spoke highly of them as they managed to prevent him from a definite ban for speeding.

From the outset they were very professional and as they only deal with driving offences are experts on the subject and know every legal loophole and law around it.

Although my case looked on paper a nice easy one, Ronnie Simpson took no chances and thoroughly prepared my case, this included providing a toxicology report which would later prove priceless. His attention to detail was second to none and I knew I was going to be properly defended.

On the day of the trial, it didn't going accordingly to plan due to one of the witnesses who had a grudge against me changing his story. Ronnie managed to get the Trial adjourned to get a statement from another witness who hadn't been available on the day, an excellent piece of work!

His performance at both trials was simple outstanding, he managed to discredit the false evidence against me and provided the necessary doubt to get a Not Proven verdict. He spent a huge amount of time preparing my case and this included providing the Sheriff with details of similar cases which strengthen my case and defence.

This ended up a very tickly and complex case and without his in-depth knowledge of the law, the workings of the court and his huge ability I do not believe I would have been cleared.

I would not hesitate to recommend Ronnie and his firm to anyone who has a driving charge, I doubt you will find a better lawyer and firm to defend you.

Very informative phone call from Ronnie. received a notice of intended prosecution claiming to be doing 71 in a 60. After asking for advice from this company they informed me i was better to take the hit and 3 points other than fighting the case. Not what I was expecting, but the advise was very helpful and fair going on my interests. I have a clean license at the moment, and my small increase on insurance prem would be a lot less than the solicitor fee to fight the case.

On the 1st of march 2013 I was stopped on my phone in Renfrew, unfortunately I was already sitting on 9 points and faced a totting up ban for the 2nd time. I had used let's just say not very good lawyers in the past and hadn't been very successful hence the the 9 points after getting my license back clean after my first 6 month ban for totting up.

I contacted Micheal Lyon solicitors after receiving paperwork that my case was getting called at paisley court, I had a couple of meetings with Martin black and we agreed we would just decide on the day what was the best option to take. On the day of my trial 24th February 2015 I was met my Ronnie simson, at first I was confused as I had only ever met with Martin but after chatting to Ronnie I was more than happy with him handing my case. My trial didn't go ahead that day as after talking with Ronnie we decided the best option was to fight for exceptional hardship, Ronnie got this granted and we returned on 25th march 2015, on the day I felt rather nervous but after chatting with Ronnie I felt great and had a feeling I was going in the court room to get a result, even though he told me to look sad! Haha. My case didn't even go to hardship as we used another option and Ronnie managed to get me a 40 DAY BAN! (non recorded with dvla) with no points getting added to my license. Just would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to Michael and the firm for their professionalism throughout my case.
