I never received the table and chairs…
I never received the table and chairs that I paid for on the 12th of April.
Yesterday I had to resort to raising a dispute with the bank to in order to get my money back.

Your order was for a clearance dining set, and as explained during our communications, clearance items can require additional preparation and quality checks before they are ready for dispatch.
To help move the order forward, we upgraded the delivery to our two man service at no additional cost. The set had been prepared and was ready to proceed to delivery on the same day the chargeback was raised.
We had also made several attempts to contact you regarding the order and delivery arrangements, but unfortunately we were unable to reach you.
Once the chargeback was received, we accepted it so the matter could be resolved without any further delay and the full amount could be returned to you.
I completely understand that you were disappointed not to have received the furniture, and I am genuinely sorry that we were unable to complete the delivery before the dispute was raised.

I did have a few problems, but in hindsight when Richard explained the situation I understood his frustration as well. It is a family firm and he is a very genuine person. My problem was resolved. The bench is gorgeous and I am very happy 😊

So very disappointed
So very disappointed. I have experienced the same bad customer service as many others. Despite Richards apologies and explanations this company isnt providing reliability and it just isnt acceptable. Today I finally received my clearance bench that I ordered on 22nd March.The box was so badly damaged but luckily the bench was intact. Great quality bench and easy put together. Had I received in a reasonable time scale i would be praising highly. My wonder is if the customers who buy clearance items and dont pay for delivery,get a lower priority. I note that some customers received next day or same week delivery and free cushions for inconvenience. No wonder they were happy! Seems I didn't pay enough for this experience.

I completely understand your comments regarding the delay and communication, and I am genuinely sorry that the service you received did not meet expectations.
I do truly appreciate your comments regarding the quality of the bench itself, and I am pleased to hear that the bench arrived intact and that you are happy with it now assembled.
I would also like to reassure you that clearance customers are absolutely not treated as a lower priority. All customers are treated equally regardless of order value. In fact, clearance items can often require more time behind the scenes, as each item is individually checked, prepared and repacked before dispatch.
Home assembly benches include free delivery as standard, so there is not a separate paid priority delivery option available for these items. The upgraded premium delivery services we sometimes refer to are generally for larger furniture items, such as dining sets, where customers may require delivery sooner.
Unfortunately, during this same period we were dealing with courier disruption after our previous delivery partner unexpectedly stopped handling items of this size at very short notice. This caused delays across a number of orders while we transitioned to a new courier solution.
I am also very sorry to hear the outer carton arrived badly damaged. All items leave us securely packaged and in good condition, and we do place good faith in our couriers to handle parcels appropriately during transit. We use heavy duty outer cartons to help protect the furniture inside, and I am glad the bench itself arrived safely.
I also appreciate your comments regarding other customer experiences. As a small family business, we are currently going through a significant growth period and while we have unfortunately experienced some operational challenges during this time, the vast majority of our customers are very happy with both our products and service, which is reflected across our many five star reviews.
I am personally working hard every day to continue improving both our service and delivery processes moving forward.
Customer experience is extremely important to us, and I am genuinely sorry again that your experience did not reflect the level of service we aim to provide.

One email about 6/7 weeks ago ‘explaining’ they had changed delivery partners and would be on track soon 😠 waited weeks again and then emailed for a refund… still waiting for a reply!

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologise for the frustration and concern caused.
Unfortunately earlier this year we experienced an unexpected courier issue when our previous delivery partner gave us very short notice that they could no longer handle items of this size. As a small family business specialising in large teak furniture, this caused significant disruption while we worked to put a new delivery solution in place.
While this process unfortunately took longer than we anticipated, customers were updated regarding the courier transition and delays during this period.
Some of the affected orders were delivered in house by ourselves during this time. Unfortunately, due to your location and the logistics involved, delivering the item ourselves would have required an approximately 8 hour round trip. Considering the delivery costs involved against the heavily reduced clearance price of the item ordered, this unfortunately would not have been viable and also would not have been particularly environmentally friendly either, which is something we genuinely care about as a business.
Following your review, I have also looked into your order personally and can confirm that the bench was dispatched and tracking details were sent by email. The tracking currently shows the item as delivered within 48 hours after dispatch.
I have also attempted to contact you directly a few times by phone and additionally sent a WhatsApp message regarding this matter, however unfortunately I have not yet received a response. After searching further through our emails, I also located your email regarding the return request within our spam folder, which explains why this was regrettably missed.
I am genuinely very sorry again for the frustration caused and would really appreciate the opportunity to resolve this properly for you.

High quality furniture
We ordered a Harrington eight seater table and chairs and the quality of the furniture is really high - it looks and feels wonderful and is high quality for a really reasonable price. Separately Richard is a lovely man who clearly takes pride in his business and delivered our table and chairs personally. We did have some delays (it’s a small but very popular business) so I would check lead times before ordering if speed is a priority, but the furniture is excellent.

A great delivery service as well.
Mine was self assembly which was easy and it looks superb.

I Bought an 8 seater table and chair…
I Bought an 8 seater table and chair set back in February, communication was great and delivery prompt.
Unfortunately the table arrived broken and couldn’t be extended or shortened easily.
These things happen and as dealing with a family business I agreed a compromise with the company instead of asking for a replacement.
After consistent chasing over 4 months, unfortunately it doesn’t look like this agreement is being honoured and now no responses are received - and I should have requested a replacement table at the time.
Unfortunately I could not recommend using this company.
UPDATED:
Update (June 2026): Following this review, the owner got in touch and resolved the outstanding issue exactly as agreed. Although the delays and lack of communication described above were genuinely frustrating, I want to acknowledge that the matter has now been settled and I appreciate the effort made to make things right. Having spoken with the owner, I believe he is a good and honest person who was dealing with a particularly challenging period in the business at the time.

You are right, we did agree a compromise following the issue with your table, and the agreed cover should have been sent out much sooner. I fully accept that this was not handled properly, and I apologise for the chasing you have had to do.
I am glad that the communication and delivery were positive at the beginning, and I do appreciate that overall you were happy with the set itself. However, I completely accept that the aftercare on this occasion has not matched the earlier service you received, and that is disappointing.
The original cover was sent with Parcelforce during the period when we were changing courier services, and unfortunately it appears this was not delivered correctly. That said, this should have been followed up much more quickly and I completely understand why you felt ignored.
A full cover set has now been sent out to you, including covers for the table and chairs, and I am very sorry again that it has taken this long to put right.
As a growing family business, we are constantly looking at ways to improve how we handle aftercare, delivery issues, and follow-up communication. This is an area where we know we need to be better, and your experience has highlighted that.

Teak garden bench
Ordered a teak garden bench which arrived today . Quite easy to put together and very good quality. A few delivery problems with the first bench going missing which delayed things but Richard offered me a choice of other benches , all more expensive, with no extra to pay . Very happy with it and worth the wait .

Unbelievably poor service - Order cancelled
Unbelievably poor service.
Ordered a table over a month ago, at the time the product page said delivery in 2-4 weeks, they offered a premium delivery but I was happy with those timelines so didn't use it.
After two weeks they sent an email about their delivery process which said to refer to their delivery page for updated delivery timings. This page references delivery timeframes of 4-6 weeks or 3-4 weeks depending on where you look. I emailed them to ask for an update but got no reply.
I then messaged them on WhatApp where they told me they would get an estimated delivery date and call me the next day to confirm - they never called.
I then messaged again, no reply.
Messaged again and got a massive long message in reply and they said the order had been upgraded to premium delivery. I responded asking for a timeframe but then didn't receive a reply (again).
Today I phoned them and was told that they hoped they could confirm a delivery date in the next 7-10 days, god knows how long delivery would then take after that.
Every time I have spoken to them they have given different answers and excuses. Ultimately they seem to be unable to keep up with the demand they currently have, which has meant I have received a particularly poor service. I certainly will not be using them again and would not be able to recommend them to anyone.

The order was placed using our free in house delivery service, which currently operates on an estimated 4 to 6 week lead time depending on location and product type, as outlined on our dedicated delivery page. At the time of cancellation, the order was still within this estimated delivery timeframe. As the item ordered was also a clearance item requiring additional preparation and checking prior to dispatch, this can occasionally add further processing time.
We do completely appreciate that you may have needed the furniture sooner, however this is why we offer different delivery methods at checkout so customers can choose the option best suited to their required timeframe.
In an effort to help speed things up for you, we also offered a complimentary upgrade to our Premium Delivery service. However, this was explained as something that would still require a little time to arrange as the order had originally been placed on the free delivery option.
I also apologise if our communication caused any confusion. As a small family business experiencing an exceptionally busy period, email responses have unfortunately not always been as fast as we would like, and this is something we are actively working to improve moving forward.
For context, our dedicated delivery page is updated regularly and had been updated with the relevant delivery information prior to your order being placed. We do always encourage customers to read this page carefully so expectations are clear and if anything is ever unclear, a simple call and we are always more than happy to help advise.
Following your request to cancel, your refund was processed immediately.
While I completely understand and respect your decision, I am genuinely sorry again that we were unable to provide the level of service we aim for.

Delighted with our teak table and chairs
We’re really pleased with our teak dining table and chairs. They look beautiful, feel solid and were excellent value for money. No delivery, no communication from any previous emails until refund was requested and still waiting for money to be returned. Such a shame and disappointment. Now having to contact my bank provider to try and get my money back.
