I received a visit from Ash, who quickly supplied me with a quote to prune a beech hedge and to deadwood an oak tree. The quote was approved and the team from Thor's arrived one week later to carry out the work. The work was carried out quickly and to a high standard. They were all very polite and tidied up everything afterwards. I would recommend Thor's Trees.

Thors Trees team were outstanding on the job. There were some high trees to manage and cut. The team were very polite, respectful, knowledgable and professional and were very conscientious about our property which has no side access. Would highly recommend. We are very happy with their work and will use them again.

Very quick and easy to deal with. Great work and very neat and tidy. Second time we have used them and will use again.

The whole team from Thor’s Trees were super efficient. Seven trees cut and ground down within 5 hours. The whole team made sure the hallway etc was kept neat and tidy by using plastic sheeting. They tidied everything afterwards leaving my garden spot less. I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending them.. very professional and polite throughout…10/10.

My normal practice is not to leave a negative review for a small business, even when they screw up badly. I make an exception, however, when they "ghost" a justified complaint. Here's what happened - you decide.
1. 2 May -- quote obtained and accepted for 2m crown reduction of pittesporum and trim sides to "neaten". Conservation area planning permission required (and paid for). Planning permission typically requires 12 weeks.
2. Repeated chasing calls required as to whether planning permission had been obtained. Confirmation obtained on 13 September as to whether "we still wanted the work done". (Since we had paid for the planning permission, why wouldn't we?).
3. Work confirmed for 7 October.
4. Thor's employee appears on 7 October saying he was there to "pollard" the plant. He was advised that this was not what was agreed. I then was tied up on a call.
5. 2 hours later -- he had nonetheless pollarded the plant, which looks awful. Service paid for, but complaint e-mail sent.
6. 8 October - received "holding" email saying CEO had been briefed.
7. Thereafter, dead silence including a follow-up email from us on 28 October.

Jan 2025: Subsequent to my review above, I've followed reviews of Thor's Trees and accept that my experience appears to be an outlier.

Absolutely brilliant work my garden looked amazing after definitely recommend.

I needed to get a tree removed, another one transplanted and a fruit tree pruned
Everything about the process was prompt and straightforward
The team who came to do the work, Jack, Ryan and Tyler were efficient and polite and considerate and I could not be happier with the result
The cost was also much more reasonable than I was expecting

Very tidy and efficient job turned up early and did an excellent job. But most of all tidied up and left with us feeling a good job had been done

We had crown reductions on a number of trees as well as a couple of trees removed completely and stumps ground out. We also had some dead branches removed from a mature oak tree.
All the work was done well, the team arrived promptly, were very polite and left the garden very tidy each day.
Would highly recommend.
