Me & mum have been going to the carvery for years. The roasts are delicious and I love the strawberry pepsi.

Brilliant bar staff! We were served by a lovely gentleman called Carlton. Lovely drinks nice atmosphere.

Booked a table
Queued for our dinner and there was only one meat left!
Very disappointed as wasn’t told this when we were seated!
Plus no one asked if we wanted a drink
Turkey was very dry as only a small bit left!
When paying I said that we should have been told there was only one meat left at no point there was no apology

Today I went to the Toby Carvery in Gorsenion for the first time.

Jo and Chloe were the staff waiting on us.
They were both very friendly, professional and welcoming.

There were a lot of choices on the menu.
We chose to have the carvery.
The food was hot and there was a great selection on offer.

Both food and drinks were very reasonably priced.

I shall definitely be eating there again.

The food and staff come highly recommended from me.

Toby carvery Peterborough- Wheelchair user allocated space next to kitchen door and was constantly bumped into by staff coming in and out of the kitchen. Sat 3 adults and 3 children on a table for 4 next to us so was then squashed in. Terrible experience and food was rock hard

Awful. Stonebridge Island site - do not go. Think you deserve Sunday dinner out, day off cooking. Not worth it. Awful staff. Rude, condescending and not even the manager got time for customers. Food was cold and veg watery tasting. Very poor indeed and overpriced. Thankfully for us first and last experience. Never again.

i found 7 freeze dried rats in my not lovely roast with terrible yorkshire puddings tasting like sand the mash and peas tasted like concrete my carrots were small as atoms

I have always loved Toby Carvery, my local one has been pretty good except for one lousy experience several years ago where the manager decided I could not get more gravy and loudly proclaimed I was getting more food when I wasn’t, right in the middle of the restaurant.

However, this review is regarding the Toby in Windsor, where I had visited for the first, and likely the last, time last week.

I was served by a lady in a white coloured top with cut out shoulders, so assume was the manager, the other staff were in black. This lady had dark brown hair, another lady had long blonde hair tied in a pony tail.

As the 'manager' served me, she coughed several times into her left hand. After which she took my payment and produced two sets of cutlery from under the counter below the till where we were stood, she then went to get a glass for the refillable drink I had purchased all the while using the hand she had just coughed into. I was very nauseated and asked kindly if she could wash her hands as she had coughed in them. She glared at me and went off to wash her hands without saying anything.

When she returned, I asked for a new glass and she gave me one. I then asked for new cutlery, she seemed to ignore me and walked off. I asked the lady with the blonde pony tail for cutlery, and she quickly got a set from below the till where I had stood and from where the 'manager' had previously gotten the cutlery.

The 'manager' returned, with a sour expression, and gave me cutlery.

I do not know why she had to go round the corner for this and why she could not tell me she was doing this, even the blonde lady looked confused. I did not accept the cutlery as I did not trust it was not contaminated given the way it was obtained round the corner where we could not see and there was already cutlery below the till. I kept the set the blonde lady had gotten me and I used a set previously given to me as the least likely to be contaminated.

I am disgusted with the poor customer service and lack of hygiene in a food establishment so well known as Toby Carvery, especially from someone who seemed to be the manager.

Next, I had to wait for some time and had to go round to ask the 'manager' if anyone was serving food before I was finally served. The lady who served me food was pleasant and polite, so no complaints there, but I have raised a complaint to Toby Carvery via their complaint form. The only thing is, the message afterwards says the manager will respond to me, so whilst I am complaining about the manager, it seems she would end up with the complaint. Not the best system as no doubt some excuse will be forthcoming about why the rudeness and the need to go round the corner.

Loughborough - dreadful service, poor food. Won't be going back

⚠️ Warning to anyone considering visiting Toby Carvery Slough ⚠️

I have been coming to this branch for years, and unfortunately one staff member, Shannon, has consistently provided some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

If you are expecting friendly, welcoming service, prepare to be disappointed. Every interaction with her feels rude, dismissive and as though serving customers is an inconvenience. She regularly comes across as irritated, fed up and completely uninterested in helping people.

During my most recent visit, I politely asked for some lemon with my meal and was met with the response, “well I can give it to you if we have some,” delivered in a blunt and unfriendly manner. I was then ignored multiple times when trying to get Shannons attention. She continuously ignored me to a point that I eventually had to leave my table and go to the bar myself. No customer should have to chase staff for such a simple request.

What is most disappointing is that this is not a one-off experience. This has been a recurring issue over the years. Time and time again, Shannons attitude has made what should be an enjoyable family meal feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I have also witnessed other customers being spoken to in a similarly dismissive manner.

The food itself is generally fine, but the service is so poor that it completely overshadows the experience. Customer service should make people feel valued and welcome. Instead, this branch leaves customers feeling like they are a nuisance.

After years of giving this place chance after chance, I have finally had enough. I will not be returning and would strongly advise others to be aware that the standard of customer service here may fall well below what you would reasonably expect.

Appalling service

Just had lunch at toby carvery watergate toll bolton. Excellent place to visit. Place was lovely and clean. Food was piping hot. Kayleigh was brilliant at our table . She was polite and courteous. Definitely well worth the visit

Please rectify!
As a regular Toby customer , very disappointed in your delivery service.
Arrived cold/ warm, deflated Yorkshire, like a pancake, gravy tub half full, not enough for size of meal.
Also veg options poor, over top veg , smaller portions of meat, so meat ran out quick with large amounts of veg left.
Delays in delivery means cold food that needs heating once arrived.
Surely your delivery should have warming containers, not bagged, and should be kept warm throughout delivery.
Drivers excuses for delays, poor!
Hope you learn from this’ TOBY’ as needs tweaking!

Rude waitress, diners crammed in like sheep at borehamwood studio way. Shockingly bad

Toby Carvery Basildon, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was hot and so were the plastic utensils. Just never has any flavour to it. Always book on the app, tell staff name and always get a text saying sorry you didn’t make it! So asked for a refund … 😂

The food was cold, the chef didn't ask which meats I required and didn't advise me I could chose the number of yorkshire puddings I could have on the Kingsize meal - which was more lilke a Dollysize meal.

went to the cherry orchard in arrowe park birkenhead last night,24th may,6 family members the carvery was disgusting,this was at 6pm,the parsnips looked dehydrated strips of tree bark,what was left in the food container.there was a handful of dried out string beans,which looked like they needed the last rites given to them.the lamb was far to salty.i gave up waiting after ten minutes for fresh food to replace the sorry mess that was there.got hold of some so called manager,who was as much use as a one legged man in an a--e kicking contest.cost for this garbagge £108 and probably food poison.steer well clear.

Poor service and disappointing food. I would not recommend this place. My complaint about a staff member’s poor service was not addressed properly, and instead, the company appeared more focused on defending their staff than resolving the issue professionally.

I have emailed customer services with reference to having problems with their latest app numerous times this week. Have had to reinstall the app because it won't allow me to register with them again, it keeps getting stuck. Have not had any feedback from them. Very unprofessional. Not sure what else I can do!

Staying at the Travelodge in Whitchurch Cardiff. The restaurant is normally like a zoo, but it seemed reasonably quiet, so we thought we'd go for it. We picked a quiet table in the self serve area and bought a drink and paid for the carvery. The glasses were dirty and the area quickly filled up. I asked if I could move to a quieter table, of which there were plenty. I was told by the male server that the area I wanted to sit in was closed, which it obviously wasn't, just laid up for tomorrow. The excuse was that he couldn't serve us at the table, we were self service as we'd already paid and just needed a table. At this point the idiot just turned his back and walked away. We limped our way through a very poor service carvery and left. Probably my own fault, should have gone with my first instinct and left it alone.

Had a meal at Toby Carbery Highnam today which was lovely. Quick service, good hearty food and great service from Dean!
Have been a few times before and always had great service from Dean! Well done 💪🏼
