First impressions of composite decking.
Many thanks - I found this composite decking very easy to install and nice to work with. I have had wood decking in the past bit it never lasted so I’m hopefully swapping over to composite decking it will last a lot longer. I’ll let you know in a few years I guess. Anyway great service, great price and would definitely recommend.

Hi Simon,
Thank you for your recent order and sincere apologies for how the decking was received.
As mentioned to you over the phone and by email this morning, it looks as thou a forklift has drove hard into one side or hit into another object whilst in transit, causing damage on one row of the boards on the pallet.
You have done the right thing by refusing the delivery and is understandable given the damage to the boards.
The courier has really let us down on this occasion and appreciate your disappointment and that this may have compromised your plans for the family party coming up.
The good news is we have re-booked a duplicate order to be delivered this Saturday (13/4/24) as requested on a AM service.
Hopefully we can also help you with the specialist X clips that I have heavily discounted as a goodwill gesture, in attempt to soften the inconvenience already caused to you.

Thank you for your order and sorry for the delay in the receipt of your decking. Good to hear you are impressed with the quality of the product.
Looking at tracking with your 2nd order, it looks as though their was a 2 day delay in transit with the weekend in between, that has not helped with the speed of receiving your order.
In fairness, smaller orders that go with a courier in over-sized parcels actually take us longer to prepare before dispatch than larger orders that are palletised.
Therefore, orders of over 30 boards (palletised) can usually be delivered quicker as the boards can simply be placed on to a pallet, shrink wrapped and strapped and sent.
With orders that are shipped with a courier, we have to invest a lot of time in protecting the product and adding protective packaging to give the package the best chance of not getting damaged whilst in transit.
Thank you again for your order and constructive feedback. We will aim to be better next time.

Very happy. After ordering approx 25 square metres of composite decking together with accessories, I needed to add a couple of extras. Very helpful guy on the phone added them to my order prior to despatch. Delivery was on a pallet and very prompt. Very pleased with the decking. Great service.

Excellent scratch resistances
Prompt delivery and the decking is good value for money. Its probably one of the top scratch resistant decking boards I've looked at, the only reason I haven't purchased is the length of 2.2m when I have runs between 7m to 15m. It will just look to bitty.

Thank you for your order and appreciate your positive, yet constructive feedback.
In fairness, Tough Deck used to supply longer lengths at 4.4m, but now only supply 2.2m lengths to minimise expansion and contraction. Larger deck areas will also have joints in the decking and more joints is actually better for the decked area and is cosmetically better when the joint is staggered.
The longer the length the larger the expansion gap, so from over 8 years experience, a shorter length behaves itself better and encourages a staggered joint and more joists (including double joists) beneath the decking. This is the biggest mistake and possible error on composite decking installs we see and is irrespective of the length of board.
My honest thought is our boards would work for your project when incorporating and uniform staggered joint. Happy to discuss options and a further explanation if you are interested.
