Lying salesman and not enough info!

Went for my first car yesterday, somehow managed what I went to do but it was an ordeal!

We got there around 11:30am and had a wander round, Ayaan was the guy to come chat with us and the first car he showed me I was immediately keen on, lovely little Peugeot 208 exactly what I imagined. Went through the sales pitch etc. And all went fine. Looked through another few but kept going back to that one so requested a test drive. This is where things started going lop sided.

The front wheel were noticed to need pumping up a bit and recommended by family to have done before the test drive. When I asked him about it when he collected us for the drive he explained they did that when the car would be serviced before I left with it, I asked if it could be done now before the test drive ( I only passed 24/8/26 so driving a different car i'm used to it needed all the help I could get ) and he suddenly expressed that he had done it when he took it outside. On the test drive I was bobbling the car and just assumed it was me, not the car.
When we got back I discussed with family and chose to get the car, the car was examined again to be doubly sure and that's when we realised the front tyres hadn't been inflated and he had directly lied to my face.
Come sale time, he consistently spoke to my partner as if he was buying the car, handing him the service records etc. As if he didn't already know that I ( the one who drove the car ) was buying the car so had to make a point of requesting the papers off my partner for Ayaan to remember he should be talking to me.

Through to Finance and Iky was very professional and efficient with his part. Perfect.

I then got approved and had to go to the other section to complete the paperwork etc. This was 2:30pm roughly. I was quoted a 12.5% APR from Admiral, I just had to wait for some emails to send photos and all would be smooth sailing from there. By 4:30pm we were STILL waiting with a lady coming and asking if I had received anything and she would chase them up from time to time. She did come and tell us I could go for a different lender but it would be 13.9% instead and I chose not to. Come 5pm a man came to us and explained Admiral was now closed so if I hadn't got what I needed from them then I wouldn't have it tofsy. My options were leave and come back the next day or go with a higher lender, he said Admiral had been useless and annoying all day, funny the lady hadn't told us that Admiral closed at 5 or thst they had been struggling woth them the 2-3 times she came and spoke to us! I would have made different choices had I have known!

Not wanting a day wasted I went for the higher finance and finally was processed and drove away by 6:20pm

Nearly 7 hours, we watched people come and go whilst just being left waiting, had it not been such a lovely little car I would have left but in that end that would have simply spite myself.

Such a shame, such a lovely range of Cars but would absolutely think twice about coming here again!

£3000 off any car

I saw the massive advertisement on the M5 for £3000 off any car. I checked the website and it was there too with some great offers, so decided to pay a visit. The same advert was inside the main entrance. I was greeted by an enthusiastic salesperson and shown how everything worked. When I asked about the £3k off any car I was informed that wasn’t £3k off any car but was ‘up to’ £3k. Some were, supposedly, £500 off. Sure enough, when I checked the sign in the main entrance the words ‘up to’ were in a shockingly small font just to the left of £3000 off any car advertisement.
However, I decided to check a few cars out and asked for the keys to one that I liked the look of, which was quickly supplied. I mentioned that I had a car that I would like trade in so I gave the salesperson my keys to look at it. He asked me how much I wanted for it. I had already been quoted £1500 by phone but, realising it had a dent and a scratch, I said that £1k was my bottom line. He asked if there was any movement on that? The car I was interested in was £9,695 so further reduced my bottom line to £695 and said I could pay £9k right away, without any finance. He tried to talk me into having a package for £599 for tyres and tracker but I declined that. He returned from looking at my car, a 64 plate, which I had owned from new, with full service history and 93,400 on the clock, and he offered me £75! He did say that he would throw in the tyres package in for free. I explained again that I didn’t want the package so he went away again to talk to his manager who, I might add, never once broke a smile. I was left for at least 10 to 15 minutes to, presumably, decide to take his offer. When I decided to leave, the manager was obviously disappointed that he had lost a sale and still didn’t break a smile. I can only assume that they were not making any money out of me by having finance off them or having the extra package, so decided to see me off with a derisory offer on my own car. They succeeded. I shall not be going back or recommending them to anyone.

Aggressive sales tactics, sky‑high APR and shocking after‑sales – avoid this place

My experience at Trade Centre UK Wednesbury was genuinely awful from start to finish.
The moment you step onto the forecourt, the sales staff swarm you. It’s aggressive, uncomfortable and feels more like being hunted than helped. There’s no space to breathe or look around, you’re pushed, rushed and pressured at every stage.
The finance process is even worse. You’re dragged from desk to desk with barely any explanation, and everything is done at lightning speed to stop you asking questions. They push their own finance hard, and the APR they try to tie you into is ridiculously high compared to what any bank would offer. The whole setup feels designed to trap people who don’t have time to sit and analyse the numbers.
Once the sale is done, they completely disappear. After‑sales support is practically non‑existent. Communication is slow, issues are ignored, and you’re left chasing people who clearly have no interest in helping you now they’ve got your money. Any problems with the car or paperwork become your problem, not theirs.
The staff might smile, but the whole operation is built on pressure, rushing, and getting you signed up to expensive finance as fast as possible. The after‑sales service is honestly shocking. If you value your money, your time, or basic customer service, avoid Trade Centre UK Wednesbury. There are far better places to buy a car without being pressured, misled or left stranded afterwards.

All the staff who helped us were…

All the staff who helped us were lovely. It was our first time buying any vehicle as new drivers, and we were made to feel very welcome and confident.

Great selection of cars. When completing the final payments, and going over final details, they were all very lovely and explained things very thoroughly.

Shout out to Saki, Jack, and Keira for being lovely and helpful (and patient)
