Unacceptable Treatment and Complete Lack of Professionalism
I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Transavia at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on November 9, 2025, for flight HV5807 to Thessaloniki. Despite arriving at the airport well before the baggage drop-off deadline stated on my boarding pass, the staff refused to accept our luggage, claiming that “the system had just closed.” Their attitude was dismissive, rude, and completely unprofessional. Even though we were clearly on time, they showed no willingness to assist or find a reasonable solution. Instead, they told us the only option was to buy new tickets and pay all the luggage fees again. When I tried to explain the situation, they reacted with sarcasm and even hostility, making comments about being tired and working early on a Sunday morning. I was shocked by the lack of respect and empathy, especially since there were no other passengers waiting and it would have been simple to check us in. In the end, I was forced to buy expensive last-minute tickets from other airlines just to reach my destination. This experience left me deeply dissatisfied and disappointed, as it showed a complete disregard for passengers, basic customer service, and professionalism.

Please find below my formal complaint regarding my 76-year-old mother, Mrs. Iskuhi Nikoghosyan, who was denied boarding on your flight from Yerevan to Paris Orly on 5 November 2025.
This situation has been very distressing for her and for our family, and I would kindly ask that you review it and provide an explanation or possible solution.

Transavia SCAM should be taken to court!
 We flew from Amsterdam to Marrakesh at the end of September 2025 for our honeymoon. First of all the flight was delayed and secondly,arriving at the airport our luggage was missing. Contacted customer support and our luggage was to be on the next flight coming in eight hours later which meant we had to book an overnight stay in Marrakesh before traveling further in to Agadir.
After complaining per Email to customer support they promised us to refund us our costs at a later date after we sent all the invoices. WRONG!!The refund was only 21,09€ as a commercial gesture. What a joke. What about the hotel costs and taxi back and from the airport to pick up our luggage 8 hours later. Don’t fly with this unprofessional company. Unfriendly at the airport. Have no clue what they are doing and seems like they like scamming customers and all the missing luggage coming in late wasn’t even locked up or guarded just dumped infront of an Office that anyone can have access to openly.
Extremely Disappointed with Transavia’s Handling of My Refund Case
I have been waiting for over a year to receive the refund for my alternative flight costs after Transavia cancelled my original flight (Amsterdam – Amman, September 2024).
I followed their instructions exactly — I booked a reasonable alternative flight, sent all invoices, boarding passes, and proof of payment. Despite this, Transavia kept changing their reasons for rejection every time I contacted them.
At first, they said they would refund the fare difference after my new flight was completed, but later they refused, claiming the new flight was from another country.
I have written dozens of emails, and every answer contradicts the one before. This is not fair customer service.
I hope my review helps other travelers be aware of how difficult it can be to get proper support and transparency from this airline.

Selling flex-tickets that don’t deserve their name
I bought flex-tickets because I wasn‘t sure my wife is healthy enough to fly. Now she cant and I want to change the date to March next year. (Munich - Paris Orly roundtrip) Using the app, it doesnt show me any flights later than January 4th. I try to call the service hotline. The hotline in the app as well as the hotline given in the booking email for Germany both dont work. Finally I reach someone on the Luxemburg hotline. Turns out the flightplan is not available for that route next year. Great… so how about changing the route to another city? Well, that’s 60€ per person per flight, so another 240€. Are u kidding me? For that money I can simply buy a new ticket and by the way: how is that called a „flex ticket“? Honestly, I am deeply disappointed by my transavia experience and I dont think I will ever again buy a ticket from these guys…
My sick mother and I were denied boarding 10 minutes early — heartbreaking and inhumane
I will never forget how Transavia treated us.
On November 2, 2025, my mother and I were denied boarding even though we were fully checked in and present at the gate. The staff closed boarding 10 minutes before departure and refused to speak to us.
My mother has serious health problems (with a medical certificate), but not a single person showed empathy or offered help. We had to buy new tickets for €1,700.
The plane even departed late — they simply chose to leave us behind.
I’ve never seen such coldness and indifference from an airline.

Prepaid for luggage, still got charged 70 Euros at the gate
One of those low-cost airlines that thrives on price gouging. Even though I had already paid for checked luggage, I forgot to check in my small cabin-sized bag. At the gate, they admitted they could see that I had a 20 kg checked baggage allowance, yet refused to check in my bag there and still charged me 70 euros.
I made a polite, smiling comment that it’s a fantastic way to trick passengers into paying extra, and the gate agent smiled and shrugged, saying, “Yep, that’s exactly how these guys operate.”
It feels like they prey on passengers who overlook the fine print in their terms and conditions.

Bij de gate gaven ze toe dat ze konden zien dat ik een ruimbagage-toelage van 20 kilo had, maar ze weigerden mijn tas daar in te checken en rekenden toch 70 euro aan.
Ik maakte met een glimlach een beleefde opmerking dat het een fantastische manier is om passagiers te misleiden om extra te betalen, en de gate-medewerker glimlachte en haalde zijn schouders op, met de woorden: “Ja, zo werken ze inderdaad.”
Het voelt alsof ze profiteren van passagiers die de kleine lettertjes in de voorwaarden over het hoofd zien.

It costed me more than 5 euro to simply call and book a flight for a minor. The new process is unneeded inefficient and forces you to pay extra!!!. The websites instructions are outdated and gives a verry wrong idea of the process to book a flight trough phone for minors. Also the price charges and is 50 euro more that advertised on the website Dont forget the fact that in the past you simply had to call and they would help you in 10 to 15 minutes. Now i takes more than an hour already and nothing is going smooth. Experience tells me that they probably have a new process in place due to an ego trip of an higher up who really 'wants to put their stamp on it'. Basically ensuring lower costs to shareholders but shitty service to their customers.
Horrible, sickening, shamfull, wrong management dicission, not customer centred, time consuming, forces the costomer to pay for not requred service. Not willing to provide actual support. If could I would share my experience with all other families with minors. This is really an horrible money sucking company. Detestible!

CHARGED DOUBLE FOR FLIGHTS
Due to an administrative mistake on your side, I was charged DOUBLE for my flights. I have contacted you more than ten times about this, but I am completely ignored. This has been a beyond stressful experience for me and I would like to advise anyone to NOT book with Transavia, because their customer service is horrible and you won't see your money back in case something goes wrong.

Worst flight experience ever
I wish I could give them - 10 Stars!!! Very disappointing experience with Transavia. In the booking there was no clear information about which terminal the flight from Sofia departed from (there are two terminals), and the plane was old and noisy. The staff were rude and unprofessional, especially during my flight from Orly to Sofia, where I was charged €70 for my cabin bag (with the same bag I traveled on my flight to Sofia to Orly and wasn't extra charged) . The reason? The staff member ( named Emily) at the gate spoke to me something which was mix of French and broken English. I think she aske me to remove at the other line. I wasnt sure what she said and when I politely asked her to explain in better English, she got angry and told me I had to pay €70 for my bag. Passengers around me had even larger bags, yet none of them were charged. When I asked why, her only answer was: "I no speak English"... Totally unacceptable for an international airline. I will never fly with Transavia again, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Horrible experience
I flew with Transavia from Copenhagen to Eindhoven on October 13th, and the flight was delayed by almost 8 hours. I have been trying to claim compensation, but Transavia has shown little to no concern or effort in handling my situation. Their customer service has been unhelpful they keep repeating the same excuses and refuse to take responsibility. Because of their lack of response, I had to contact another company to help me pursue the compensation I’m entitled to. Unfortunately, this means I’ll only receive half of what I was originally owed. Overall, the experience with Transavia’s customer service has been extremely disappointing.
