I purchased a brand new Traxxas Maxx…

I purchased a brand new Traxxas Maxx model #TRA89076-4-GRN from a local hoppy shop called Robin's Racing located at 2290 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA. 31088. The total amount of my purchase was $1036.55. This consisted of 3 batteries, a charger, adapter plugs, and the Traxxas Maxx in question. Purchase date was 12/26/20 at 5:17 PM. I did not unbox the truck until 12/28/20 as I had to charge batteries and install the required AA's in the receiver. As soon as I took the Maxx out of the box I noticed excessive amounts of tire glue on and around the rims (one wheel completely ruined by the glue). After spending more than 10 minutes checking it over and being disgruntled about the wheels I put it on the ground and tried to enjoy my BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX TRAXXAS MAXX. Shortly after driving it on a flat surface, I came to the realization that something was wrong. I picked the truck up and, to my disappointment, realized that the right, rear u-joint had fallen out and there was an excessive amount of differential fluid on the axle cup. This whole driving process took exactly TWO MINUTES TWENTY-SIX SECONDS which are video documented. The hobby shop was closed that evening so I packed it back into its original packaging and put it in the trunk of my vehicle. The next day I arrived at the hobby shop and considering I was overwhelmingly disappointed and annoyed at the quality control of Traxxas, I asked to either exchange my product for the same model I purchased because my Maxx seemed to have a cluster of DEFECTS from the FACTORY, or receive my money back. I was advised neither of those two solutions were going to be fulfilled and that I am just stuck with a defective product and out of over $1000.00 which caused me great disdain. The owner of the hobby shop had another Maxx in stock and would not exchange it "due to the nature of the hobby". The owner also declined to view my video evidence of the occurrence, BUT also agreed that it was, in fact, A DEFECT FROM THE FACTORY. Rather than accommodating me, the owner proceeded to ask if I would like to contact Traxxas about the issue because the store would not exchange or return my defective product. The Traxxas Representative I spoke with on the phone told me that under no circumstance would I receive an exchanged Maxx, even though he also agreed to it being a factory DEFECT. I sent pictures of the right, rear of the Maxx to his E-mail address. I expressed my desire for wanting to exchange my product with another of the same because I was concerned that whoever built this truck lacked in experience and efficiency, and that there would be other DEFECTS and inconsistencies in quality throughout this product. I intended to give TRAXXAS a second chance because I know that no-one is perfect, and exchanging the product would have accomplished this without leaving me dissatisfied. After explaining my thoughts, I was met with hostility and was told I would be given the parts TO FIX MY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT ONLY! Kent also advised me that I would be receiving multiple spares in case ANOTHER U-JOINT was not INSTALLED CORRECTLY FROM THE FACTORY. The hobby shop owner spoke with Kent on the phone, was instructed to pull the parts off of the shelf, and the owner fixed the Maxx for the time being. The owner also tried to keep the spare parts that were included in the repair kit, despite me being assured by Kent, that I could KEEP THEM! I also called customer support to see about the wheels getting replaced due to all of the cosmetic issues caused by the glue. I NEVER received a support E-MAIL to forward my pictures. At this point in time I would STILL BE WILLING TO give you guys a SECOND chance at doing the right thing by exchanging the truck. This would eliminate the doubt that I have about your product and prevent future findings of defects on this specific Maxx. Also, take note that Robin's Racing in Warner Robins, GA. is TARNISHING YOUR REPUTATION AS A RESPECTABLE COMPANY!

I am seeking a Brand new, no issues, quality controlled Maxx as a replacement to show me that Traxxas cares about their customers and to relieve me of the excessive amount of time and concerns I have had throughout this whole ordeal. Doing this would keep me a Traxxas customer and would prove to me that they take pride in their products and are worthy of my future business with the company.

Bought a Traxxas Maxx on 11 16 2020

Bought a Traxxas Maxx on 11 16 2020. The ESC blew after a week. I called Traxxas support. They sent me an Return Merchandise Authorisation e-mail. I followed the step outlined and shipped my Maxx to them. They got it at 9 am. By noon they replaced the ESC free of charge and are shipping back to me free of charge.
Every one I spoke with was professional and helpful. I will buy Traxxas again. And I recommend Traxxas to anyone looking for an RC product.
P.S. Traxxas had my Maxx less then 3 hours b4 they fixed it. Free of charge and put it on the UPS truck headed my way same day free of charge. Excellent customer service.

Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service. I would not recommend this company for any type of RC products. I had two very expensive Lipo batteries die out six months into use put them in the storage every time, never let them drop below 3.7 V...they will not warranty unless I ship out this heavy broken potentially dangerous batteries back to them for “evaluation”. Very expensive to ship lipo battery’s where I live. Traxxas will not help me otherwise basically hung up the phone on me.

Awful customer service

My son and I both have a car and invested hundreds in the cars and recently ordered some parts and specifically wheels. The hex for the wheels were different size than the tires so it won't work. They refuse to take it back because I opened the plastic, which I would not of known the hex they sent me was the wrong size if I did not open it. The now refuse to take the wrong size wheels back. I did not use them at all and just go them yesterday. Awful customer service and the people are very rude also.
I would invest somewhere else in the future.

Poor design and reliability - Stayed broken longer than being used.

My son received the Traxxas Stampede in September 2020 for his birthday. It broke within minutes of taking it out of the box. We shipped it back as asked and they fixed it. Upon receiving it back it broke again within hours (different part). We called and they sent replacement parts. We fixed it and it has now broken again. The vehicle has been broken more than it has been used. Terrible reliablilty and poorly designed product. I do not recommned anyone purchasing from Traxxas.

Run for your life and buy a different brand then traxxas

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased a revo 3.3 about a week or so ago and it has been the worst experience I have ever had with an rc car. The clutch went before the second rank of break in. The on board battery would not charge and was leaking battery acid. The electronics will not respond with they new battery in. I called traxxas and they said I could send it in but they cant guarantee it would get fixed cost free. 525 dollars less then 2 weeks ago and they have nothing to say about the piece of crap they made and actually sold. I would recommend you run from the traxxas brand and go with something else. I have had team associated, and hpi and have never had any issues other then issues from the normal abuse of driving them which is expected. The customer service is horrible. You think after buying such an expensive rc car that they would help you out but I'm left to handle this horrible rc truck myself. Get a car that the company will stand behind

I own some traxxas cars and they are just good for beginners but pretty expensive for what it is. The plastic cvd they use for years are the worst even thing i saw on rc car and truck, same for the shock absorbers which open and lose all the oil. Some are happy with the X-maxx but the drvie train on this thing is just made with so cheap material that it break pretty fast out of the box and the center aluminum shaft bent easily too. I really don't recommand this brand, they are so many other brands who are more reliable and handle way better.

I wish I could put zero stars...

I wish I could put zero stars...
I purchased an E-Revo about 10 weeks ago from a local dealer. 4 weeks ago the dealer sent the motor and ECC in for warranty. Now they are telling me it will be another 2 to 3 weeks. That is totally unacceptable. Stay away from Traxxas and purchase something else. I have even asked to return it and they won't let me.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Read multiple reviews before buying Traxxas products. We called three nights in a row to have a battery replaced that arrived swollen. Each time was told they’d look into it and call or email us back. Never were we rude but the call ended abruptly. We thought it was probably an accident. On the fourth night when we called after still no response, got hung up on. Now we knew it wasn’t an accident previously. Sounds like a bunch of jr high school kids running customer service. Save yourself the trouble and just shop another brand.

Mixed feelings

As a long time RC enthusiast, I have ordered and used a variety of Traxxas products.

Some of them I have been very happy with, such as the X-maxx and TRX4.

Others are certainly outdated versus the competition like the Slash, Stampede, and Rustler.

I would love to 100% support this US organization, but their continued pushing of outdated products, plus their seemingly frivolous litigation against other RC manufacturers really makes me want to not support them.
