Needs to fix several things for testers to test.

Even though a lot of people have given TryMyUI a bad rating I went ahead and tried it. Now I did get paid when I took their tests.

However their test scripts are badly wrote. They tell the tester to not move ahead but half the time they want you do do things you can't do unless you move a head then the very next task tells you what to do.

I have 3 screens and I don't use the one the recorder opens up on. I thought it was recording where my browser was located. On the feed back I was told to open the browser first. The recording app won't move to the screen I wanted to use.

Also this last straw they had me test software that if was better prescreened I wouldn't have been qualified to test because I don't do what it was testing for. To top it off their application crashed and never uploaded my recording.

Disappointing

I regret to write this review, as I actually had high hopes and perhaps earning potential with this website - however looking at the corresponding reviews I see this is a practice I won’t be exercising.

I didn’t experience any of what they are mentioning, instead I - and probably many others have the misfortune of not even being able to test.

You go through the hassle of getting qualified, and there is absolutely no testing opportunities. They also took a long time to review my application.

Yes... they are very transparent about the selection process and meeting a demographic, but even when a testing opportunity comes in through email it’s always taken. It’s first come first serve.

Now understandably so, but this doesn’t make the website worthwhile. I tested the theory, after getting an invite - within 5 seconds of opening the link I was told it’s taken.

It’s an exhausting pointless exercise. Surely, above all you should have some placement to accommodate those that haven’t tested often and offer them tests first-handedly for an equal workspace. Not so much. I’ll be unsubscribing soon, and based on the below I don’t recommend anyone enroll to this, it’s a waste of time.

Waste of time and please don't use it

I worked on many user testing and feel happy with what I am doing. But trymyui is very worst website I have seen and just today I have cancelled my membership. Feeling waste of time to do the test there. I would definitely will not recommend this in any circumstances. Its my mistake, without seeing their review in the trust pilot and spend time in their panel. My time got completely wasted.

The worst

The worst usability testing site I have ever worked for; I'm in the panel of about 4-5 top usability testing sites - none of them ever rejected my test, infact I'm rated 4+ on those sites; but this trymyui always fabricates silly reasons to reject so they can avoid payment, stay away guys - it's not worth your time; I deleted my account with them! They don't deserve any star but trustpilot won't let me post this review without atleast one star! There should be an option to sue trymyui for wasting my time on testing their crap tests! Just don't understand what these guys think of others' time, people aren't sitting idle to waste their time on you! Trustworthy sites that you can work for are - with no doubt usertesting (they are bigdaddy in this area), validately, userfeel, userlytics and userbrain! ***STAY AWAY FROM TryMyUI***

Worst customer support, ignoring request for refund

Wanted to order participants on iOS devices as marketed by the platform. During test setup the page suddenly tells you that „iOS support will be back within a few days“.

Waited a week for this feature to come back and contacted support as iOS support still wasn‘t available after a week. Support told me that „due to some technical maintenance our dev team is working on Ios app testing which will be in place within next 7-10 days“. Waited one more week (and had to extend a client‘s deadline) for iOS app testing to come back and contacted support again as the feature still wasn‘t available in the promised timeframe.

As customer support didn‘t replied within a week (and testing native iOS apps still wasn‘t possible) I had to switch platform and requested a refund for the credits already paid. Customer support is still ignoring the request for a refund after 3 follow-up emails, but told me 4 weeks later that the feature is available now again.

By the way: If you want to export videos (you‘ve already paid for using credits) you‘ll need an additional „Team Plan“ which is $399 a month.

Never again, TryMyUI.

Stay Away!!

Thought I could leverage this new side hustle by joining TryMyUi, but was I wrong.
I have used have used couple of other ones and gotten excellent feedback, wasted 20mins of my time on my first ever review and got my feedback rejected with claims that my system had issues (not true), that I wasn't thorough enough (never had complaints as to the standard of my reviews).
Deleting my profile right now, don't waste your time, steer well clear of TryMyUi!!!

I review websites on about 10 sites…

I review websites on about 10 sites regularly, about 20 hours per week. It seems however ever time I decide to do another on TryMyUI they reject it. Like I said I review on many sites without ever being rejected instead I am praised, other sites love how much explaining I do about why I feel one way or another; I am praised for reading everything. I just don't get it, but if you tried this site first you would get very discouraged. In this day and age with Covid 19, we need people to be nice to one another and instead bring us up not knock us down.

Absolutely the worst testing site out…

Absolutely the worst testing site out there. They will find any excuse to reject your work. I've wasted hours of my life on trymyui tests that they find random excuses to reject. They are exploitative towards testers and their user support in non-existent. I have a 5/5 rating on every other UX testing site yet trymyui will come up with any excuse to refuse compensating me while providing customers my research as unpaid labor. Do not use them unless you want to provide slave labor to a dishonest, underhanded company.

PLEASE TESTERS AND USERS DON'T USE IT!

This website is the worst!!! They just rejected another test with terrible arguments.. I did what I was supposed to. Gave full opinions, on the written part I gave all my opinions in a very expressive and complete way.. tested the sound and it was perfect. I usually speak loud and clear. So they got my opinions for free? Was it because I coughed 2 times? Was it because I'm not a professional painter so I drew just a smiley face? (I had to use a software and paint something on it) I heard before that this website was terrible, but I wanted to give it a chance. I know it's not your business but trust me, I work with usertesting.com and userlytics too, real companies with lots of customers and better payment and my scores are 5.0 with 5 stars when rated. They are literally abusing. Their platform sucks. So you are in the 10 minutes of the test and suddenly stops for no reason. I told them "Next time you make sure to tell people that you don't look for quality, you look for a loud parrot that takes 60 minutes tests, writing bad things about the product, nothing more and for 10 miserable bucks". Good thing places for rating this crap are public and all over. This is a scam!

Don't bother using!!

Don't bother using!!! they only have tests VERY rarely, then reject you quite easily based on something like 'You're voice was too soft' even though my tests were rated 5 stars on other sites for quality, basically because I gave negative reviews on a few tests which was my genuine opinion. Then their customer service is possibly the worst I have EVER received, I've emailed them before about a technical issue and they responded basically saying 'dno it was probably your fault' rather than helping me and then didn't respond, and they also have very slow response times too (not that it matters as they won't help you anyway)

Don’t waste your time on these cowboys

This is a site I thought were actually legit, however I was sorely mistaken and taken for a ride.

I carried out the test as required, knowing I had a silent room, a perfect mic and followed instructions as provided, I submitted it and got the inevitable rejection email stating I wouldn’t get paid, it’s almost laughably predictable, pure copy and paste response that no doubt many other testers have been sent:

Poor sound quality - There was poor sound quality in your recording, so your voice was difficult to understand. Please fix by using a headset and/or adjusting the gain of your microphone. Also, please CLOSE ALL OTHER APPLICATIONS running on your computer as these can impact sound quality. Please fix this before doing another test.

Unfortunately, because your test was rejected, we cannot pay you for this test.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

They Sell Your Email To Spammers!!!!!

I registered as a tester and they made me use my "paypal email address" so I used that vs my spam email and now my MAIN email is bombarded with spam 10+ times a day that isn't even reaching the spam, I'm having to manually unsubscribe. I'm getting Keto diet, bitcoin trading and all sorts of other crap. They clearly sell your email to scammers, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Legit but it won't get you any money

This review is about my experience as tester with them.

To be accepted you have to perform a free test, which will be examined. If you are considered fit, you will be part of their panel of remote testers. You need to download a program that will allow them to record your screen and voice and tests will be done in real time. Tests are paid well and you won't spend much time on each.

They are the most didactic of the bunch. Before you start your acceptance test, they explain to you how the system work. You have to download a mini program, very easy to use, that will do the recording and uploading, so they take the time to explain to you how it works. None of the other companies bothers, so that's really cool and considerate.

They are legit, it is that you would barely get any money, if any.

They do email tests according to your demographic, but there are so many people waiting for them, that you'll be lucky if you get any.

It happens to me, all the time: I takes me barely three seconds to open the browser with the emailed link and I get the message that someone is already taking it, or the test is no longer available. So I guess the other person received the mail before I did.

It might be my demographic, but the only test I did, for free, was the entry test. I've been there for some weeks and I was able to open a test that wanted a question answered, and after doing so, it said that it didn't fit the profile they are looking for.

So, money earned, zero.

They work this way: There are a bunch of hungry dogs in a pit separated by fences. The bosses throw a steak and decide that the white dogs are the ones will better benefit from it, so they do so, and the bunch of white dogs fight for the steak. The one who gets it, gets fed, the rest of white dogs, black dogs and brown dogs will get nothing. Would you want to be there or move to a place where there are more steaks and the dogs are not in a pit? Your choice.

It might work for you, if you are student, or have children or who knows what is the most popular demographic.
