All-access pass purchaser twice. I have purchased the all-access pass…

I have purchased the all-access pass twice for a month, about a year apart. The auto-renew is a trap and once you get out you can't download anything you have already licensed.

They have some great designers on there but the platform is beyond dodgy. Sometimes you get the wrong files others you it's not in the same format.

Agree with the other reviews.

Alike all the other comments. It is difficult to find the unsubscribe button and its not very clear that it will just automatically charge your card. You can remove your payment method and apparently, there is a button on the your purchases page although I did not see it when I was looking to cancel. Just a tip, that the cancel button makes sense to be on the plans page - funny that they didn't think of that being a UI designing company. Also, big tip - THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.

Although, the customer service rep did answer all my questions within a day.

The Kings of Dark UX

It's a real shame these guys practice dark UX - especially as they mainly service the digital design industry - who are well aware of what these practices are. I say shame because their content is very good - but shame that I won't be using them anymore and advise my designer friends to also stay away.

I'll be the first to say that I did not spot their dark UX practice of not clearly disclosing the auto-renew on their All Access Pass and was overseas when the auto-renew actually occurred therefore missed the opportunity to cancel it.

I definitely didn't opt-in to any auto-renew and don't recall seeing any on the payment page when I purchased this pass - but boy am I paying for it now! I've now been charged twice for something I only needed for a short period of time.

Watch out for this trick - it's as shifty as the ones you get via phone from Nigeria!

The experience of the former creator of assets for this site

I wanted to write a review for this place for a long time. But I didn’t get around to it, I will divide my review into 2 parts, one for potential buyers, the other for potential authors interested in selling their assets.

For buyers

1. The owners of this site claim curatorship, etc., but in fact, there is simply no verification of the design of assets, one thing can be written in the presentation for the products, but after the purchase you get a completely different one.

2. God forbid you run into their support (if she answers you and gives you a shadow ban in their online chat) in which there are only boors who do not observe banal subordination.

3. They have a "limited offer" like "ONLY ONCE" in fact every time they offer to buy lifetime access to the author's products, from the experience of various buyers, this is a trick for people who are engaged in the so-called drains of products from their site, from -why buyers of this option get account bans without explanation and your money is simply lost.

For potential authors:

1. Guys, if you are interested in selling your assets here, then be prepared for the fact that your products will be distributed almost for free due to the full access system. And this means that your resources will be on various pirate forums or telegram channels.

2. If you want to reduce the commission due to "exclusivity" on this site, be prepared for the fact that you can be merged as soon as you are no longer needed by the owners, without the right to appeal or notify you, you will simply be banned without explanation.

The result is this: my experience cannot be the last truth, but I expressed my opinion about this site, and it's up to you to work with them. But I do my best to protect from this place.

Tricky auto renew scam.....

Same as a few others complaints..... auto renewal not clear when you purchase a 3 month all access pass. There is a tiny remember my payment details checkbox that you can hardly notice (not a bad design idea and UX to scam you into paying twice). Support non existent when trying to resolve issue.

Contirbutor Experience: Refund, Payout and Terrible Service :(

I was a featured seller on ui8.net and had a partnership with Dash(CEO - Ui8). I sold illustration packs for them for more than 2years and had a good partnership too.

After I wasn't happy with the amount of sales generated and recent restrictions with the Payoneer, I asked them to make some of my products for free. They didn't. So, I tried several times to payout my sales balance that was open before closing the account. But I'm banned for the truth and won't even get that balance.

Please Note : After you stop partnering with them, they keep your money.

I don't really care about my several bucks. But they do :D

I'm not recommend this platform for contributers.

I ordered a Full App XD Design, it was mentioned that i should receive 52 slides, i only received a XD file with 47 slider, not complete .. Missing the User Profile Page and all its subsidiaries. i tried to reach out to the support team that is supposed to respond within few hours.. 3 days !! not a single response.. i talked to the seller, he responded in few hours and he asked me for extra money out of UI8 to send me the complete version, absolutely misleading and no support from their team whatsoever.... this is a rip off. please avoid this website.. do not buy anything from them.. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Dark Patterns - being charged for something that I never subscribed to

I initially bought one of the all-access pass from Sep which lasted for 3 months. The product description made it sound like it was a one-off purchase. And then out of nowhere in Dec I was emailed an invoice saying that they charged me for another one of the exact same pass which I do not need nor purchased. To this day I still don't know whether it was on auto-renew by mistake or they charged my credit card accidentally. I tried writing to the support team to delete my credit card details and get a refund but all I got was useless instructions to ask me to go to the billing page. This really feels like a dark pattern to me if they only make it easy for you to purchase but not to opt out or cancel. And these auto-renew options really was not apparent when I made the purchase initially. It is extremely frustrating being charge $150+ for something you don't want / are not using.

An insult to sellers and creators. Only 2%?

Hello I am both a pass holder and a seller on UI8

My product has 8 pass downloads of which I have made $3.84 from
That’s 0.48c per download for something I have listed for $24

Paying the creators only a mere insignificant 2% for all is absolutely unethical and a joke - they are basically giving away their work for nothing.

Having paid a whopping $523.56 AUD for my year pass I know you can afford to pay the creators more for their work and still profit off the pass.

I am sure the data will back that pass holders do not download products to the full extent of the pass. They do not need or use 40 downloads a day, most pass holders would have around 60 downloads for the whole year - though I am sure you have the data on the average. It’s like a gym membership, some members go every day, some members go once a month. Or insurance, some people make claims, some don’t, they profit from those who make no claims and can be at a loss for those who do but as a whole, they are in profit as more people don’t make claims.

the % payout for pass downloads to the creators should be AT LEAST 10% - ideally at least 20%. 2% is insulting. a $24 product deserves at least $2.40c which is still incredibly insignificant.

People are basically getting 30 hours of my work, for free, at my hourly rate of $100 an hour, I would need to make $3000 in sales to cover the efforts.
At 0.48c per download for pass holders
that’s 6,250 downloads to cover the costs.

My pass is AUD 523.56 a year
Let’s say I downloaded 60 assets for that entire year as a freelance designer
on average the creator gets 50c
Out of my $523.56 pass, the total $ gone to the creators of those downloads is… $30 … what the...
The creators get $30and you get $493.56 for all their hard work. that does not sound right, does it?

So please increase the % payout to creators for pass downloads or give the creators the option to turn pass downloads off.

As a pass holder, I now feel unethical taking creator's hard work when they get nothing in return.
