This company dosen't deserve a star, they completely lie about their delivery times and they also lie about when they pick the package up, they said they picked it up 5 days ago and now they are saying it was only collected today, they are a shambles of a competition

Worst delivery company in my area

Every time that I discover that a merchant I have purchased from uses UKMail/DHL, my heart sinks and I prepare for guaranteed aggravation (only rarely the guaranteed next day delivery).

They have several excuses for not delivering on the correct day.
They often leave the item beside the road (a few hundred yards from the house).
The item may disappear within their system never to be seen again.
They leave us our neighbours parcel.
They leave items out in the rain.
They never get a signature (because they very rarely actually come to the house).

Out for delivery but didn’t arrive

Two separate parcels from different suppliers out for delivery on Tuesday. Didn’t arrive and until Wednesday afternoon tracking just said at depot. Now supposed to be delivered on Thursday. Parcels have been with UK mail for a 6 days. Very poor service and communication.

Poor experience with UK Mail/DHL

Poor experience with UK Mail/DHL. MY parcel has been marked on their tracking system as having been collected from the supplier for delivery today, but "has been delayed", with no further information. UK mail suggest contacting the supplier for details, even though the parcel is already somewhere in the UK Mail system! Then the usual story: total lack of communication with no phone access or chat facility, just a black hole where you can send an email. Don't expect a reply. How does such a disfunctional organisation remain in business?

THIS COMPANY IS PART OF DHL AND WHERE THE COMPLAINT FORMS ARE SENT.I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL AUTOMATED REPLIES STATING THAT SOMEONE WILL GET BACK TO ME IN 24 hrs BUT IT NEVER HAPPENS.WHAT IS THE POINT?THEY LOSE PARCELS AND TAKE THEM TO THE WRONG ADDRESS .THEN THEY DO NOT REPLY AND COULDNT CARE LESS.THIS IS THE WORST PARCEL COMPANY EVER.THEY NEED INVESTIGATING BECAUSE THEY HAVE VERY DODGY TERMS AND CONDITIONS ALSO.IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH A DELIVERY THERE IS A £55 ADMIN CHARGE BEFORE YOU START.IT HAS BEEN 3 WEEKS NOW SINCE MY PARCEL WAS TAKEN TO SOME RANDOM ADDRESS>MY SIGNATURE WAS ALSO FORGED WHICH IS FRAUD AND DONT FORGET THE THEFT OF THE PARCEL.SO DHL HAVE COMMITTED 2 OFFENCES AND I AM GOING TO MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT GET AWAY WITH IT.THEY MUST THINK THEY ARE LIKE TEFLON AND NOTHING STICKS>WELL THINK ON BECAUSE I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS INCOMPETENCE>THEY ARE ALSO KNOWN AS DH HELL.

UK Mail? More like UK Fail!

I received a text in the morning stating the parcel would be delivered between 12:20 and 16:20. I usually go out for a daily walk so figured I’d wait until my parcel was in then go. Come 16:20 - no parcel. The DHL customer services line is unmanned so I couldn’t get to speak to anyone for an update, other than an automated “we appear to be running late”. The automated message stated they deliver until 8pm so when no parcel had arrived by then - I had given up, much like I’d given up on my plans to go for a walk! Then at 8:15 it arrives - no apology for being 4 hours later than the latest delivery time from the text. The driver wasn’t rude but an apology would have been nice.

The only reason this review is 2 stars is that the parcel was delivered in good condition and although late it was a next working day service. Whilst the Covid-19 situation has of course created more parcels there is absolutely no excuse for bad communication. For example I had a parcel from Hermes, it too was delayed but they text and emailed me to inform me. (This was for a delay of less than 15 minutes). Also the DHL website had no real time tracking for the van, and not being able to speak to a real person at their customer service team left me in the dark and wasted my time.

I have now vowed never to send a parcel via DHL or UK Mail as I wouldn’t want my recipient to endure such poor service. I’ve also decided to actively seek to avoid retailers/ sellers who use them. I’m in half a mind to turn away/ ignore deliveries I do get (including booking re-delivery of these parcels) just to waste their time like they did mine! Though unlike DHL/ UK Mail, I wouldn’t actually do this because I don’t think wasting people’s time is fair!

I sincerely hope they don’t bother posting some pathetic excuse for a reply - as it’s of no interest. Delays happen yes, but the lack of communication and active tracking combined with the inability to talk to anyone is just poor. Consequently I’ve no interest in any response, I just felt sharing my experience may help others pick better couriers.

DHL awful

DHL, why inform me that “estimated time for delivery is between 14:03-18:03” and then doesn’t actually end up turning up at all! Atleast have the decency to notify me that my parcel will not be delivered today!

Doesn’t deserve any stars

Doesn’t deserve any stars. As of course DHL is the parent company, so we all know that they’ve inherited their lack of communication skills and the exact same lies DHL tells. How this is a business i don’t know. All the reviews are the exact same thing, parcels being lost, customer service being rude etc. I called and asked what was going on to be shouted at by the customer service girl, and treated like utter rubbish. She claimed the company i bought my item from was lying about posting it etc. Is that professional? I think not. When i spoke to the company i bought the item from, no surprise she said they probably haven’t scanned the item in properly again. So obviously this has happened before.
People need to stop using them, they are vile and do not know how to treat customers properly.
Now i either have to wait for them to pull their finger out their behinds and find the parcel or get a refund as the item is now out of stock.
Should be ashamed of themselves

No way to run a company

Like so many other posting, I cannot believe how incompetent UK Mail is.
We have now been waiting 5 weeks for a parcel from Germany.
Their tracking site is useless as is their telephone service. First the parcel does not exist, then suddenly it arrived in the UK.
The tracking number then said it's 'delayed', then due for delivery 15th May. Now the site is stating delivery will be, and wait for this 1st January???
I give up. What a way to run a company

Amazon no problems Royal Mail, well it was bad here in Chingford before the virus but now its even worse

Just awful. Cant even be bothered to deliver items on time, staff are rude and when parcels do eventually turn up, they are trashed.
