Personally I think this company is a scam. The event didn’t even have a location and was cancelled on the day without warning. By law I should have been offered a refund. What a joke!
There was no sign of the free tickets or where the events will take place so how will I know if I can attend?. What’s to say it’s legit? Really refunds should be given if the event has not taken place?! It’s within customer rights. it says in citizen advise!

The venue is added by 2 hours prior to the event start time. It will be a venue in the city centre. We had stated this on the event page, order form, order notification email and on your ticket.
We have a no refunds policy and contracted on that basis. We reserve the right to reschedule/ offer event credit as was stated on the order form prior to your ticket purchase and you accepted that when you purchased your ticket.
You have just emailed us again today saying you are happy to accept the free tickets. You have still not confirmed if you have read the promo code on the reschedule email. We sent you the reschedule email with the free tickets promo code on 26 January 2024 at 19:09 (GMT). And, if you are happy to accept our free tickets then why have you written this negative review?.

Complete scam
Complete scam. Booked on to an event, it was postponed 2 hours before the event. Emailed to ask for a refund as I couldn’t attend the following date they told me they don’t do refunds. Clearly just scamming people out of money.

Yes you may offer other venues or area’s but it’s not like I’m coming to watch a show, I’m looking for a partner and would like to meet someone local to me! Not have to travel miles outside of my area! I can see from your other reviews that this happens a lot. Just wish I’d have seen all the reviews before I booked as I would never have wasted my money! Also to note that you have never provided venue information, suggesting that you have no intention of holding the event at all!

We offered to change the date if you could not make the rescheduled date, but you have not responded to our email letting us know. You also have 4 free tickets in the reschedule email to use when you want.
We contracted on the basis of a no refunds policy and have offered the event credit. We reserve the right to reschedule an event and this was stated on the event page and order form prior to you checking out on your ticket order.
Clearly you are just giving a negative review when we have offered to help.
You have only now just mentioned re Sundays/ the location. We have 3 events per week in the city that you booked for. We also have events on Tuesdays and Fridays. Perhaps if you had asked us all this prior to writing your review then you would have had all this information.
We add the venue at the latest to the event page 2 hours prior to the event start time. This is clearly stated on the event page, order form, order notification email and ticket.
You have been suddenly adding new qs and seem to have simply written this review because you dislike our No Refunds policy, that we had clearly stated on the event page and order form prior to you making your ticket purchase. And we have provided you with a reschedule or alternate date and the free event credit as we had stated we provide in place of a refund.

Paid to attend an event that didn't exist!
Attended an ' Event' on 26th January. I was the only one that attended ( thankfully with a friend), and the Manager of the host bar (turtle bay) didn't even know that they were using their bar, so therefore had no space reserved. We were left sitting at the bar area. I followed instructions and emailed to explain the situation, and was contacted by someone at their customer services who apologised, and told me to email again asking for a refund. I have since emailed, and nothing is being followed up. I'd taken half a days leave with work and paid for transport to get to this event.
In my case I have asked for a full refund. As the 'event' I attended clearly did not exist. No one else even turned up enquiring and we got there early! - It's very much felt like a scam. I'm just so glad that i went with a friend. I will be taking this further if i don't receive my refund.

We sent you an email at 11:15am today notifying you that this event needed to be rescheduled. Our Order for and Terms stated that we will email you in the event that an event needs to be rescheduled. We sometimes need to reschedule if attendees can not make it. We had therefore communicated with you via email notifying that this event was rescheduled. We cannot be responsible that you saw your email after 1pm.
It is very important that attendees read the information that is on order form so that they have the above information.
We confirm our booking only with the venue if an event is going ahead. We did not need to confirm our booking with the venue because this event was rescheduled.
We do not have Unified Dating staff at the event and this was clearly stated on the order notification email and on your ticket.

Edit: booking department called me and offered me a refund in exchange for taking down my review, when I said I wouldn’t remove it because it isn’t accurate they then backtracked on the refund 🙄 other people not turning up isn’t an excuse to merge age groups. I didn’t get what I paid for.
Would give zero if I could. Wish I’d read the reviews. Awful. Attended an event for 28+ years and ended up with an 18 year old because some people hadn’t turned up! Customer care have been crap at resolving and offered me more tickets…it’s not an experience I want to repeat! They literally get your details and then book a table somewhere for however many people are signed up - even if it’s different age categories. Steer clear.

There were three that attended. For the 28+ event that you were on there was also a male participant that attended for this same age category of event that was seated with you in the same table area.
The different age category events are typically in separate areas. It may be that others had not arrived or were late for the 18-30 event which is why the 18+ event attendee was on your table area.
We always do our best to ensure that different ages of events are on separate areas.
It states clearly the following on our event pages, order form and terms - *Please note: Refund Policy: No Refunds. Additionally, we cannot guarantee the number or gender mix and do not offer refunds if some attendees fail to attend or the numbers are low or the gender mix skewed.
Our bookings team member simply asked you if you would consider to edit/ remove your review, this was in light of the fact that an attendee for the age of event that you were on (28+) did attend and was present on the table area with you and you confirmed this during the phone call that you had with our bookings team member and your review makes no mention of this. Your review appears to suggest that only one other attendee attended whom was on the 18-30 event. Which is not entirely correct.

This is an honest review of unified dating. This is not a scam at all. I was sent my location a little later than stated on the ticket but they send it to me via email and text and clearly communicated with me when the other participant would be arriving. There are no organisers present at the venue when you arrive so you are in fact using this service to connect with other people which is really good. It was unfortunate that a few of the other guests who booked tickets didn't turn so it was only myself and a gentleman at the venue however we had a really good night. With more participants it could have been an even more enjoyable experience but you can't help if people don't show.So all I'm all useful dating service with the potential to connect with new people.If you're looking for more of a hosted event then this will not be for you.

If i could give zero stars I would. We attended an event to only find out that it wasn't on once we arrived, spoke with bar staff who said that there wasn't an event on or were not aware.
I later received an email stating that the event had been rescheduled 2 days afterwards.
I've contacted customer support for a refund who have not been helpful, suggesting that we should have read the terms and conditions, surely if you pay for a service once you arrive it'd be pretty clear that something is on once you arrive!
Stay clear, save your money, i think you are essentially paying to walk in to a bar that's free to the public anyway.

We have communicated via email with you and we have just spoken with you over the phone. You have written a review on here under a name that does not match the name that you booked your ticket with. Our event in Nottingham on Friday 19th January did go ahead and 7 people attended.
You mentioned in your email that when you arrived you simply asked if an event was on. You did not ask for Unified Dating as our Order Notification Email states. If you had asked for this you will have been shown to our area where 7 other attendees were present.
As a gesture because not every one could make it to the event we rescheduled the event after the event had taken place on Friday 19th January to give attendees another chance to attend on another date.
The ticket money is for the ability to meet other single people at our events.
We have a no refunds policy. We also had clearly written on the Order Notification Email what to ask for on arrival. You did not event ask for Unified Dating. Had you then you would easily have arrived to our area. You could also have contacted us on the email stated in the order notification email but we received no contact from you on 19th January. We could have easily helped and our Order Notification Email stated to contact us in the event of any issue so we can help. We do not accept to refund on this basis. We offered you the reschedule date and free tickets as a gesture.

We replied to your emails.
The other attendee attended yesterday.
However, they did not reply to our reschedule email to confirm they were attending and they did not answer their mobile when we tried to call them yesterday. They did not even at any point yesterday call us back either. Only today they have emailed us and said they went to the venue.
Had they replied to our reschedule email confirming, we could have let you know to go yesterday. We did not send you to the venue because we could not confirm if others would be there. We did say you can go but we were trying to avoid you making a journey if others had not confirmed.
We are doing our best. With rescheduled events people must reply to our reschedule email to confirm if they are attending otherwise we cannot know to send people to the venue. You have been confirming so we appreciate that.
For the Brunch event that was on 4th February you had replied to our reschedule confirming that you were attending and then one hour prior to the event emailed saying you were not going.

Really poor customer service
I got really poor customer service from this company.
The day before the event I'd still received no communication from them about the event location, so I made other plans and requested a refund.
They denied my refund request and rescheduled the event to a date when I'm not available.
I find this to be really poor customer service. I wouldn't use this company again.

If the venue name and address are not on the event page they will be added by us to the event page at the latest by 2 hours prior to the event start time. At that point the attendees needs to check the event page on Eventbrite so they can see what the venue name and address are. This is stated clearly on the Order Form, Order Notification Email and on the Ticket. If these are read then attendees have all needed infos regarding an event.
It states No Refunds on the event page, Order Form and Terms. But we can offer the event credit.
We sometimes have to make the decision to reschedule an event if we feel it will be a better event experience for attendees. We reserve the right to reschedule as stated on the Order Form and our Terms and Conditions of Business.
Following our phone contact with you we are happy that you still want to accept and keep the rescheduled date plus the event credit on top that we offered. In light of this we feel you could do with correcting your review to reflect a more accurate review.

Worth giving a try
While the quorum/turnout was disappointingly low with only four attendees (should be around 8), the casual atmosphere of the pub event with not particular format, dress code etc., provided a platform for enjoyable conversations once a few more people arrived after 45 minutes. Despite initial disorganization and a lack of direction from the staff, the relaxed setting allowed for a good time, making me open to try once again any event organized by the company.

As been told that if no one attended it and its not their fault. Only offered a reschedule of the event. Yes agree with previous reviews! Absolute scam! Location of the event been only given two hours prior of the event when I emailed them, no replies no refund. I was the only one at the event and waited for 40mins for another person to come. Nobody did! Guess nobody ever does! The venue was written on the event page for the event that you attended. It states on the Order Notification Email that at the latest we add the venue on the event page at 2 hours prior to an event's start time if it is not added already prior to this.
It is unfortunate that it was a much lower number of people that could make the event in the end. Our Order Notification Email states to arrive for the start time but people sometimes still arrive later than this and therefore all attendees do not get a chance to meet at the event.
When attendees do not arrive our Order Notification Email states to email our Customer Care email so that we can be aware and call the other attendees to see if they are on their way and still attending.
We have rescheduled this event to give all attendees a chance to attend.
There are no reviews on our Eventbrite page.

We organise weekly events for singles. People can book onto events that are for them, whether that is on our heterosexual, lesbian, gay or bisexual events.
Our events offer an excellent way for people to easily meet new people in their area.
Sometimes we may need to reschedule an event if appears that the numbers attending could be low or there could be a gender imbalance, where this is the case we always get in touch with booked on attendees. We are sorry that it appears that there may have been a delay in us communicating with you yesterday prior to the event on this. However, we have since been in touch immediately and resolved.
Sometimes attendees do not let us know if they are not turning up and sometimes they may let us know close to the start time that they cannot make an event. We will always do our best to contact all attendees in this situation but if it is close to the start time some attendees may already be on their way to an event. We have to let the venue know of how many of our guests might still arrive in this situation so they can be aware and greet our guests on arrival.

Scam
I was the only person to arrive. I sent a message to the event host as there was, strangely, no actual in-person host. I received a phone call and was asked to check whether the table had been booked because they hadn't received confirmation. Then I was called back a little later to say some people were on their way and would be there in 40 mins. I had already been there for 30 mins. A total waste of my time and money. Why would I pay the same price for someone to just book a table and hope people show up compared to an in-person hosted event that cancels if not enough people sign up AND they provide a refund? I don't want 2 free tickets to future events that no one / one other person arrives to and where I spend more money for nothing. This really feels like a scam.

We had 6 other people booked on. They had not informed us that they were going to be late or not turn up. Had they informed us we would have contacted you prior to the event to reschedule it.
Our Order Notification Email that you received after your ticket booking states that attendees should arrive for the start time. We unfortunately cannot guarantee that they will arrive for the start time. The Order Notification Email also states that it will be the attendees only at the event and venue staff.
We have had a good number of attendees attending the recent past events.
