Our centre and staff in Wakefield have over 30 years experience in the training industry. Our specialist training facility in Wakefield is outfitted with bespoke gas and power workshops to help develop both practical skills and present learners with a wide range of scenarios that they may be faced with when working out in the field. This is encapsulated most in our indoor street aptly named the ‘Electric Avenue’. We also have a number of classrooms use for theory based learning and assessments. The courses we offer are designed to be industry relevant to make sure every learner completes their time at Universal Skills Group with the skills and knowledge to enter the workplace or self employment fully equipped. We are constantly evolving our offering to keep pace with the energy sector and emerging technology.

My experience with USG was great and…

My experience with USG was great and would definitely come back if needed for further training or another course.

I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Was here for 7 weeks of training which gave me the skills and experience to gain my Mocopa qualification which my employer required for my new job.

Happy and satisfied with what I got from USG.

Amazing teaching and guidance from…

Amazing teaching and guidance from michael cottyn. He always made sure everything was understood and explained things clearly. Wouldn't have been able to go through as faultless as I did without him. Amazing training centre compared to others I've been at and all the steff here are very helpful and friendly

Above and beyond 3 phase training

I can't thank universal skills group enough for an exceptionally professional standard of training,
Matt and Adam's knowledge is outstanding and also the course is completed in a relaxed atmosphere ,
I've just completed the 3 phase training course and I can honestly recommend the training as top notch in every way ,The training centre is Brilliant and the staff are fantastic.
