I remember i got HSBC contract ready to sign and I compared all the fees there are like 2.4k difference. So i have to say no to them.
The only downside is no offset account + only most recent 2 months-ish transactions history so I have to take screenshots to have records for book keeping.

Unloan was very easy to apply with, and the whole application process was simple and straightforward. They responded very quickly, with minimal phone calls required, which made the experience hassle-free.

Since becoming a customer, I’ve also found their email updates really helpful, particularly around interest rate changes and other important information.

The worst customer service of any bank I’ve dealt with - really! All you get are templates, mindless responses. Nobody owns any issue and they try hard to actually deceive you!

Unloan website lacks transparency. I came across an advertisement for Unloan on social media while I was exploring home loan options with several brokers and banks. Out of curiosity, I clicked through to learn more. To my surprise, a credit check was conducted, which may affect a person's credit profile, without what I felt was a clear warning or explicit consent. The relevant information appeared to be buried in the terms and conditions rather than clearly disclosed upfront. This lack of transparency was disappointing and not what I would expect when simply seeking information about a loan product.

Unloan’s “loyalty discount” makes for great marketing. Our experience makes us question its actual value.

We’ve had interest rate increases above the corresponding RBA increases, and now pay 5.96% after four years of loyalty discounts, while Unloan advertises 5.89% with just a 0.01% discount.

What’s the reward for loyalty if you still end up paying more than new customers? An increasing discount looks impressive in an ad, but means little if increases to the underlying rate swallow the benefit. From our experience, the loyalty promise feels more like a marketing hook than a meaningful reward. We’ve asked Unloan to explain the discrepancy and review our rate.

Unloan has had technical issues for over a week and still can’t process my loan application. Even their own room temperature IQ devs can't fix it. For a supposedly digital lender, this is embarrassing. No proper resolution, no timeframe given.

As per other comments the loyalty discount means nothing. I am currently above the advertised rate. I also contacted them and it is meaningless. Good rate to start but doesn’t continue.

Simple process, fully online so you don't need to take time off work to do it. The rates are better than average. It's backed by CBA so you can be confident it is secure.

As with other reviews it was fairly good and straight forward to get the loan going although your loyalty discount isn't worth anything. I have only been with them for 1.5 yrs and they moved my investment loan .15% higher than the advertised rate plus my .01% dicount. My loyalty discount was only .01%, making me .14% worse off. Very disappointed as I had thought they were positioning themselves as being better than these tactics. I messaged them and they gave me the same standard blurb others have shared and dropped the rate back. I assume I will need to keep a close eye on it and move when they do it again which I'm sure they will.

Simple process from start to finish. Loved the fact the application was entirely electronic. Communication was excellent. Can't recommend enough.

Same dodgy tricks as the other big banks; they are part of CBA after all. Process is simple and fast but don't place any value on the loyaty discount - it is a ruse! They aren't loyal to you and you will end up subsidising new customers (i.e. they offer better rates to new customers even after loyalty discount). Very disappointed.

I like them. Getting a loan is simple. Getting a top up on my home loan to use the equity is also simple. Usually applied for and in my account within 24hrs. App is easy to use. Twice a year I have a two extra payments on the loan because of how they work it. I can redraw that if needed. It's just setup the right way for someone like me and for how I use it. They have it down pat where I know I'm getting a good rate and only once in a while I check and still see I'm doing well. When rates change (go up), they don't sting you right away, but take about a month to increase. Most other banks will up the rate within days. I have zero complaints.

They give better rate to new customers but increase the interest rate for existing customers after a bit, happened to my three different loan accounts and when you find out and query the answer is: “… your contract does not guarantee that your interest rate will remain more competitive than that of newly established loans.”

We undertake rate reviews, and they are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Unloan doesn’t apply a blanket approach to interest rates, each review considers a range of customer and loan variables. "

The Unloan process has been great for us. The application and change over process was quick and easy.
We also like the simpleness of the product we have.

I have just tried to pay off my home loan using a money transfer, I used this method becuase of the size of the amount. Strangely Unloan does not accept this method. It seems a very common way to conduct this type of business. I believe they want to keep my loan opened for as long as possible. Very disappointing.
