I wanted to download a movie and actually managed to download it. But to unsubscribe was a little tricky because I had to make a call to cancel the free trial. Still I managed to get hold of the operator and got my subscription cancelled. Just feel a little insecure still because they have my cc number. A lesson to me and others to not simply give out cc details w/o researching about the site first. I think I'll stay away from this kind of sites and just enjoy netflix lol

They've been charged my credit card for no reasons (I've taken 14-days free trial on usenet.nl website). Moreover, I still can't download any files from their servers so in my opinion this company is completely scam.

Barely works, expensive and you can't cancel you subscription. Lucky for me that I did it through paypal so I stopped the direct debit from there, however only 6 months later they sent me a $120 invoice saying that if I didn't pay they'll take legal action!

Usenet.nl is a scam company. Do not sign up, do not use their services!!
They offer a free trail with no commitment. Only require a credit card to sign up and we can cancel anytime. They even make it seem legit by offering Paypal payment.

Do not get fooled Paypal does not vet their partners business practices, it only offers a payment mode/gateway.

Usenet.nl's plan is very simple... they do not allow you to cancel. I tried many times, logging on, going into my account and clicking the "unsubscribe button". It automatically logs you out and returns to main homepage.
No website confirmation, no email confirmation.

I got cheated as I assumed that (my fault, i know!) that my cancellation is under process. What happened is that they just ignore the cancellation and charge the full USD 99 to your card once the trial period ends!

This is their automated reply. As it stands, there is probable no other way that to cancel my card and replace a new one with the bank, upsetting all my payment arrangements with my other legit vendors. Highly troublesome.

Bandits, Banditen. They just want your $$$

After the Trial i wanted to terminate the contract. Their box that says that you want to Terminate the Contract actually does not let you you Terminate the contract. They disseave you with the question why you want to Terminate and that brought me to believe that the Contract was terminated after.

Then all of a sudden they sent me a mail that the Contract was active and booked off the $$$. I called the same day and this company keeps persisting on the fact that i made this commitment and there was no way they were prepared to refund my money, even after i said i do not want their service. I tried several times to make them sensible to my cause and thought they would be reasonable and fair and then give back my money. Because i told them several times i am not about to use their services. They kept persisting to their right - which i would understand when i would have used the service or would be in for several Months. No unerstanding at all. Which made me furious > No Client understanding, JUST Horney for Money!!!!! Therefor they are just Bandits!!!! Absolutely no trustworthy Company and/or Service!!!!

DO NOT USE THE FREE TRIAL!!!! THEY LURE YOU INTO A CONTRACT!!!

I am also the victim. They took from My paypal 99.96e.

Advice :
Dont try anything from Your side on site or paypal, dont cancel.
You can just make it more complicated.
They are very smart froud team.
How site not be down for 10 years almost? Because they know law and policies.
They now what he doing, If You try to cancel alone You can make 2 contract.

Canceling payed subscribtios :

Just call number and wait for response.
I call and wait about 5 minutes on line.
I call about 12am today.
Girl who answer on My call cancel the payment imidiately.
Just slow conversation and relax, dont panic.
They are foxes, they took money from costumers almost every day.
They want to cancel subsctiption but only with normal way with calling them and be ok.
They took money from peoples who dont call in free trial days.
I write to paypal also, that usenet.nl was froud site, but paypal response to me that is everything ok betwen him sides.

DONT CANCEL BY YOURSELF OR CONTACT PAYPAL AND BANK, JUST CALL HIM AND BE RELAX.

Scam artists, make it very hard to unsubscribe, don't reply to emails or support requests. Do not sign up!

I wanna cancel my account and appointment because I don't wanna pay 99 euros for their services. I didn't use Pay Pall but my credit card. I am on my free trial but don't need their services anymore. I was on their site and cancelled my accound but I received an e-mail related to the payment so I think they are going to charge me anyway. What should I do?

It's a scam, impossible to cancel subscription

I wanted to cancel during the test period and called the customer care. The account was cancelled immediately and the customer care was friendly.
Usenet.nl worked for me but I preferred premium.to because of pricing and flexibility.
I droped one star because they accept cancellation only by mail or phone. I expected an automated cancellation in the account settings.

Downloads possible, but 100 bucks yearly. Trial hard to cancel, they provide no fax.

This disgusting company causes several problems:

1. Makes it impossible to reach anyone to cancel your trial.
2. Neither do they answer emails.
3. What you can do is use PayPal, which allows you to cancel recurring subscriptions on your end.
But what they do, in retaliation, is report your associated card as 'fraud', causing PayPal to lock
you, and tell you to upload ID and credit card statement to restore, and at the same time,
causes your bank to cancel and issue you a new card, which causes you to go update all your
other recurring payments at your good merchants on that card.
4. It wasn't that much trouble for me, but be sure that I will get the word out,
you desperate pieces of excrement. I hope you go the way of myspace.

Does anybody know about suing their customers? Can they sue me if I block my subscription on PayPal?

Upset doesn't even begin so describe how I feel right now. I filed a dispute through paypal and they sided with this scam of a company? Are they serious? I am out $99 and paypal can't even protect me. I signed up for the trial period and canceled the same day so my user name and password no longer work. I emailed them again to cancel but no confirmation. And that's their defense, that they can't find any cancelation emails. This company will steal your money without even using their services

There cant take you to collections as is copyright you could sue them just bin letter not add one come back after it closed my bank account strught away add replace one sent out with new bank details

Didnt reply email i thought i had to pay 100 euros!!!
Luckily before it was too late i got an free trial from skype and called them with skype was cancelled luckily.
Never begin with Usenet.nl and im never gonna visit and use the Usenet.nl service ever AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Total scam and rip off!
If you give them your credit card info they will charge you for things you didn't order. They do not answer mail or phone so it is impossible to get in touch with them = you cannot cancel your free trial and they will start charging you.

Scam. Frauds. Never saw anything like that in my life. They make it close to impossible to cancel so you'll give up and they charge you a yearly sum of 99$. I prefer to cancel my card before i'd pay them a cent. They are so dodgy: Claiming to be a Dutch company, registered in San Marino (out of EU consumer protecting laws) but their support lists a US and UK phone number. SMH.
