Purchased a Toyota Proace City from V12 Hinckley at the point of sale, the salesperson clearly and repeatedly assured me the van was still covered under Toyota’s manufacturer warranty even showed me details online. This was a big reason I went ahead with the purchase.
I took it straight to an official Toyota dealer within 48 hours to check. They confirmed the warranty is not active because the service history doesn’t meet Toyota’s requirements. This is exactly why I asked Dipesh (sales person) When I raised this, the after‑sales team spoke about a completely different warranty instead.
Also, before we finalised the sale, I pointed out there were no floor mats and no engine cover. They said: "We’ll sort it out, no problem if we had another van the same, we’d take them off that for you, but we’ll get these sent out to you tomorrow." I agreed. I know it’s a used van, so I wouldn’t have expected these unless they’d promised them.
After purchase, the after‑sales team emailed saying they wouldn’t provide them "why would we give them, it’s a used van" even though it was agreed clearly before I bought it. I phoned Manager Laura at Hinckley several times over days, kept being told she wasn’t available. Eventually I got an email from her asking if I’d prefer £90 or the items — no phone call, no proper conversation, just that.
I chose the items. When they arrived: the engine cover was damaged, missing clips, and actually ripped; the floor mat was new but simply does not fit this van at all — completely useless.
It feels like once they had the deal signed and the van gone, the promises didn’t matter anymore. A reputable company would stand by what’s agreed at the point of sale and follow up properly. Very disappointed with how this was handled.

Visited V12 in Hinckley to view a prospective buy. I was met by Ben who brought out the vehicle for a test drive.
He was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. So much so, I purchased the vehicle the same day. They agreed to hold the car for a week while we went on holiday. I returned to collect the car and the handover was handled by Rayyan who was equally friendly and efficient.
No pressure on their part at all. I would recommend V12.

Be very aware of Warranty 2000 offer as they will tell you that almost everything is covered but so far is not true at all...when it comes to a problem they will argue straight away that it was WEAR AND TEAR ( but I bought a car wich is 9 years old so everything can be WEAR AND TEAR and they stronlgy using this excuse ) and they decide without any dianostic from the garage ( just from few videos and pics I have sent them ) i have tried to chase that desicion but they are not even ansvering to my emails ( sent allreaddy 3 of them ). Honestly i really regreting that I chose and paid £999 for a such a poor service. Pls go around this one and try to get others company warranty as plenty of better optins than WARANTIES 2000.

On 29/07/26, I part‑exchanged my Ford Fiesta at V12 Hinckley for a 23‑plate Hyundai Kona. The initial sales process was smooth; after a test drive, the transaction was completed within a few hours.
However, by Saturday 01/08/26—just three days later—the vehicle developed a serious clutch fault. While stationary in first gear with the clutch fully depressed, the car suddenly lurched forward. Throughout the drive, the vehicle struggled to go into gear, and by the time I reached a safe location, it would not engage any gear at all. This was an extremely dangerous situation, and I am fortunate that neither I nor anyone else was harmed.
Unfortunately, the after‑sales department was closed over the weekend, so I contacted them first thing Monday morning to reject the vehicle. After explaining the severity of the fault, I was told by Angela that “the car would roll a little when in first gear,” which was wholly inappropriate given the circumstances. I was informed that a diagnostic report would be required before they would accept the rejection. The earliest appointment I could secure locally—so I did not have to drive what I considered an unsafe vehicle—was Wednesday.
On 05/08/26, exactly one week after purchase, the diagnostic report confirmed a dangerous clutch fault. I forwarded this immediately to the after‑sales team.
I then arranged my own recovery of the vehicle, based on a recorded phone call with Hayley in which I was assured I would be reimbursed for this cost. I returned the Hyundai on the Wednesday and proceeded to exchange it for a Kia Stonic, which was £500 more than the Kona. Our sales assistant, Ryan, remained professional and helpful throughout, despite being caught in the middle of this situation.
After submitting the recovery invoice, I received an unprofessional email stating that V12 would not be covering the cost after all. As a result of this entire process, I have been left significantly out of pocket—paying additional insurance and tax for the replacement vehicle, covering transport costs while I had no car, and losing income due to missed work.
I was then told a “deal” could be offered where I would pay £300 instead of the full £500 difference. I declined, explaining clearly that I would not be paying anything further. Ryan escalated the matter to his manager, Yaddi, who initially responded by saying they would simply refund the Hyundai and end the matter.
I made it clear that my review would reflect the experience and that I had recorded conversations confirming the promise to reimburse recovery costs. After speaking with senior management, Yaddi returned and offered the vehicle along with £20—an offer that did not come close to addressing the financial impact or the seriousness of the situation.
We didn’t receive a refund for our recovery costs so I had to chase V12 a couple weeks after to obtain this, I explained that I requested the £150 back that it cost me to bring the broken car back to them and explained I had a voice recording of Hayley promising it would be re payed when we initially said we’d bring the car back and they happily ‘as a good will gesture’ sent the full £150 vehicle refund over plus £49 extra.
I will never be buying a car from this ‘dealership’ and I will never recommend them to anyone EVER!

The sales staff are very knowledgeable & not pushy when browsing the vehicles but always ready if needed advice. The car I bought was turned out really well ready to drive home would definitely go back.

We didn’t have an appointment and just walked in, we were greeted by Ben and he was brilliant from start to finish. We bought a vehicle which is just right for us and ticked all the boxes we asked for. He was to the point and made everything really clear. We were very happy to have been able to have bought a car from him and would recommend him to anyone, looking to purchase a car.

Visited the dealership to pick up my new car. Ash was very friendly and professional throughout. They took their time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood the details. The handover process was smooth, with plenty of care given to setting things up properly before I left. It felt well-organised, and they were polite and easy to talk to during the visit. I appreciated how much effort was made to go through all the features of the car without rushing.

I called to collect my new vehicle from V12 Hinckley and had the following issues.
1 - Car jack and wheel change kit were promised but not in the car - the only option was to take it from my part ex car.
2 - Tyre compressor and accessories were promised but not in the car. They removed from other cars and put in my new one.
3 - Spare tyre had been included as requested but the boot floor would fit. So had to remove that.
4 - One of the two keys wouldn't open the new car -a new battery was needed and found in the office.
5 - Message to advise that a service is needed was displayed in the car - I wasn't made aware of that. V12 agreed to make a contribution to that cost - Still waiting for that money to be received 1 week later.
6 - I was asked to sign some handover paperwork for a different car, the V12 handover team member had not checked before giving it to me.
6 - Handover process took nearly 3 hours with all these issues.
7 - The whole V12 team appeared too busy, running around and not really in control.
In my opinion the sales team had not passed on what was agreed and the V12 team need to pay more attention and not just focus on a quick sale turnaround.
Good point - So far the car is working well.
