Thank you

Recently had the pleasure of working with Lynne Stephenson (Managing Director ) and Emily (Sales Advisor), and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience.

They were both incredibly cooperative and understanding throughout the process, taking the time to review everything carefully and allowing me multiple access to the property with the builder to ensure a smooth and stress-free transaction. Their approach was reliable, methodical, and highly professional, which gave me real confidence every step of the way.

It’s rare to come across a team that is not only efficient but also genuinely trustworthy and supportive. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a seamless and well-managed experience.

Professional.

Dawid was very professional and explained everything from taking the pictures of the house which were excellent. He also knew the area very well which helped us to get the right valuation and he actually sold the
house for the price we wanted.
I would recommend Dawid to any people selling there house wuth complete confidence.

Disgustingly unprofessional

Whilst buying a house my partner and I sent an offer for a house we would have liked to purchase. Upon the owner accepting the offer, Venture properties then kept the property on the market despite us having sent proof of deposit, Agreement in Principle etc. We were then entered into a bidding situation depsite having had our offer accepted.

Further to this their quotes for Solicitors were over £2000 despite the house being for £145,000 and us being first time buyers. They also repeatedly misread documents and couldnt add up simple amounts that were stated.

If selling or buying with Venture properties I would advise going somewhere else more professional.

Very good at getting you into a property, however they are completely one sided towards the landlord when moving out. Unrealistic bill presented for what they deemed an immaculate property which we suffered with rats, mould, damp and poor workmanship on its refurb. Currently trying to charge me for a laminate floor which was laid onto a completely uneven floor (no self levelling compound used prior to fitting) and I also showed the issue to one of their inspectors during a 6 month visit but because I didn’t raise it through their website they said I was liable. Mentioned it was brand new when handed over yet the damage was fair wear and tear in consideration of the damp rising onto a completely uneven floor. Glad I won’t need to rent again as I would not go near venture now knowing what I know, I would also not move into a terrace street for a rental as it’s up there with the worst experiences of our lives.

Worst tenant experience- Don’t use

Used to be their tenant. I have to say it is quite literally the most unpleasant experience in all my years of renting. They only serves landlords and have no sympathy for tenants. Got kicked out when my baby was 6 months to find a new place to live. Accused us of damaging the carpet when the carpet already damaged by previous tenants. Tried to
scam £1000 of our deposit money but we managed to get it all
back from
DPS. Thanks god. Piece of advice for all renters out there, take photos and videos of your house as soon as you move in. Don’t let these agents scam your deposit money.

I have been a landlord for 20 years and…

I have been a landlord for 20 years and have come across many, many agents during that time ranging from good to downright dreadful.
Having used the services of Venture in the last 5 years for purchases, sales and for lettings I have to say they are the best, most professional and effective office I have ever come across.
I suspect the key is in the management as every single member of staff in the all the different departments is friendly, knowledgeable and good at what they do and I look forward to continuing to work with them in future.

My dealings with Venture properties…

My dealings with Venture properties started in March 2020 when I agreed for a friend of mine to be a guarantor for a rental property for them. No problem. Fast forward four years when my personal circumstances have significantly changed and having never heard anything from Venture properties I get a demand for approximately £700. I was shocked as I had heard nothing from this company in four years. I seek out the contract and realise legally they are correct and I would be liable under the agreement. My friend assured me they had this in hand and it would be paid. I note that in the terms I could serve 3 months notice to leave the agreement after the fixed term ended. I served notice in February 2024 for a fixed term that ended in September 2020. I heard nothing from Venture properties and certainly no challenge to me submitting my notice to them. I included a caveat that if I heard nothing I would consider the matter closed. I heard nothing. Then yesterday (7 months after notice served) I get another phone call demanding £70. I now view myself as being legally released from this contract. The person whom I spoke with (Nikki) came across as surly and rude, was only interested in payment and seemed to scoff at me when I mentioned I had submitted notice to leave the agreement.

The company appear to ride roughshod over GDPR laws. Never once in my communication with them have they qualified I am who I say I am. After notice has been served they continue to discuss with me sensitive information about my friend situation, which I believe to be a breach of gdpr. I have had to highlight to them the part of the contract that allows me to leave and now they are silent. No doubt they will try again in another few months. I have informed them they have potentially breached gdpr, they have 72 hours to report themselves. I have submitted a dsar and I have requested their complaints process details. Ultimately it would appear they do not understand what is written in their own contracts, a possible training requirement.

All of these emails remain unanswered. If they think I will let this lie they are mistaken as I love to take on things like this to protect those not as savvy.
