Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We were able to be seen so quickly. When we arrived our dog was taken straight through to the vet. He then came and gave us all the information and then treated her

Super efficient, and excellent treatment that helped to save our rabbit in gut statis. The level and speed of care as well as ease of access was faultless and we are very grateful. As with most out of hours services, this isn't cheep but from the first call to agreeing with treatment and medication all involved were totally transparent and up front on fees and that is all you can ask.

It was really nice to see a vet showing true care to our little dog. He was not just processed as is quite often the case sadly.

Lovely lady vet who was very kind to my little fur baby. Excellent treatment. Only downfall was the out of hours charge but had to be done.

Ridiculously expensive reflects nothing about the animals welfare. The injection got charged £25. £5 for the injection £20 for the vet to put it in my dog. Ridiculous. Nearly £400 for out of hours consultation. Next day two others were at my vets complaining along with me. Just one big scam nothing to do with animal welfare.
And just under £300 to open the door proves that point. That’s before consultation ( which lasts a couple of minutes) and medication. Just a scam. Reporting to trading standards also.

We needed help last Sunday night for our sweet cat Sonny who was hit by a car. We drove 25 miles to get to the Hilsea out of hours surgery - and just before we turned off the motorway we received a call to say pull into the lay-by outside the vets and we will come out for him. That’s exactly what they did and they took him straight through. What a service! They checked him over and we were able to bring him home. He did have some bad injuries but not life threatening and he is now on the mend. They took care of him and of us in a very traumatic situation. Highly recommend. Didn’t get her name, but lovely vet nurse with a blonde ponytail, you know who you are. Thank you 🙏🏻 💜
