Extremely expensive, untrustworthy.

Extremely expensive. Used to be a lot cheaper, and I used to recommend a lot. That has changed. How items weighing so little and requiring so little packing space cost me $200 to ship vs larger heavier items shopping cross border via USPS costing around $30-40. It boggles the mind. Kind of disgusted actually. The markup used to be around $12-20 for past orders. Not hundreds of dollars.

Stay Away!!!

Stay Away!!! Exorbitant costs and poor/slow service.
ViaBox charged me $200US to ship a $40US pair of pants to Canada (and even offered a $2,000US "expedited" shipping option), and it took them a week from payment until they actually mailed the pants. Absolutely ridiculous - never again.

Stay away, work with another company.

If you value your time and money, never work with this company. Definitely wouldn't recommend it. It's expensive, has a very poor sense of Service, and you'll definitely pay cargo above the amount you calculate. I've been trying to get my package for 11 days.

Stay away.

Stay away.
I’ve used their services twice in the past and all was great but it seems they keep the same claims but have completely changed their operating model. Shipping fees literally charged three times what they are quoted by the actual shipping company. Customer service is useless hiding behind “company policy”. It cost me 400 dollars to ship 100 worth of merchandise. BE CAREFUL. Once you start, you are trapped. I even tried shipping to a us address instead and impossible unless I provided a NOTARIZED form. Truly unbelievable. Never again.

Caution

The actual service worked fine, the parcel arrived in good time. The problem was that I attempted card payment and it reported as failed twice. I then ended up paying by paypal. They first attempted $84, they then wanted $66, then they finally took $61 from paypal, so where's the logic in their pricing. This was all for exactly the same package. Also, despite telling me the card payment had failed, they did actually take all of the aforementioned attempts, then denied ever getting it. Despite my bank telling me very clearly they do have that money, viabox even stated that there was no way they had my money, as they don't even take card payments! What a load of lies lol.
They refused to help and now I have had to issue a clawback through my card provider.
So, caution 1: Use paypal.
Caution 2: Don't rely on their support to help at all;
Caution 3: Try checking the payment two or three times, as I had 3 different prices given for exactly the same thing.
The package did arrive in good time, it was teeny tiny, so their prices are massively enhanced, but it's a service and I guess they charge whatever people are willing to accept. That's fair enough. What isn't fair, is denying they took the money when very clearly they (or their payment processor) absolutely did!

Very expensive like twice the one I’m using now.
Repacking takes 5 days while mine is done i 1 day now!
Support was good until November 2020 and eventually went downhill, now it takes days to answer.
Worst of all, two repacking took more than 1 month (after paying full shipping amount, like 1200 dollars) to actually ship.
They barely apologize, stay away

Too expensive, steer away!

I'd have to agree with the other reviews. VIabox used to be an OK company with reasonable shipping rates, their rates now have increased tremendously. Stear away from this company. They rated a 2.2lb package 1400$ to ship with FedEx, the same package would be 80$ with Fishisfast. Never again!

Absolutely a scam

Absolutely a scam. I ordered a pair of shoes from a company that wouldn't ship overseas. I did an estimate on Viabox's shipping calculator ahead of time to make sure it wouldn't be *too* expensive. Surprise, surprise, once they received my package suddenly the shipping fees they were quoting were more than twice their original estimate -- more than the value of the item itself! Ridiculous. I managed to haggle them down but it was still over 50% of the cost of the item. Then the package never arrived and somehow wound up back with them again. Now they want to again charge another $150 to ship it to me again (original value of the item was about $150). At this point I probably have to just give up and let them keep it -- meaning I've spent well over $200 and countless hours of hassle for absolutely nothing -- receiving absolutely nothing in return while they continue to hold my belongings hostage for their extortionate, insanely inflated shipping fees. Don't fall for it!

AVOID SCAM…

I had my first package arrive at their facility in mid December 2020. I immediately went on their website and followed the procedures and was quoted and paid an enormous amount of money to have the item shipped to me in Canada. They said the item would be shipped within 2 to 4 business days. I kept checking back and nothing was happening. Their customer service was not helpful or very responsive and when the did respond they were making excuses that made no sense for a logistics company. Unfortunately I had more items on route to that facility that arrived in early January. I then tried to work with them to put all my items in one shipment. They actually charged me another enormous fee and double charged for the first shipment again. After more tome of conistantly contacting them, these shipments did not leave the warehouse either. They had promised a credit for the double charge and that too never happened. Feeling completely helpless, believing that I’ve been scammed out of thousands of dollars in shipping fees and that my items were likely stolen, I disputed the charges with my credit card company. The credit card company has refunded my money for the shipping fees but I still have thousands of dollars of Items sitting in this facility that I do not know how to get. I have contacted the Portland Police Department as well. Waiting on a reply. This is clearly a scam and you need to avoid. There are some reviews online that say they are good and deliver but I believe those are fake reviews. How is it possible that A logistics company, in the business of shipping, cannot get these items redirected in a reasonable timeframe. This is been an absolutely horrific experience and extremely costly for my family.

The worst customer service I have ever had. Still waiting for their support for five days!! I think they are not paying well for their support agent. Shipping charging is overpriced. All that I want now is to get my stuff and run away.

My bag was brutally crumpled to fit into a little box. It’s damaged. I have photos to show

My brand new leather bag was brutally crumpled up into a little box. My bag has permanent creases and was received damaged in this condition.
It took a long time to reach me because of some difficulties from my end but Is There Any EXCUSE To Receive your packages in this way????
Also I begged to speak to someone but Customer Support is only available by email which takes 24 hours to respond to each message.
I deeply regret using this service. I don’t think there is any excuse to handle customer’s packages this way

It has got to be it

My first time using them and it was very straightforward the whole procedure, no longer need to rely on the help of friends to get the stuff you wanted from the US, but they are slightly expensive to use, however consider the long journey and obviously companies are out there to earn money, so surely they are on the expensive side of things. Overall, got the parcel came through in perfect condition and smooth journey so can't fault much.

10x more than courier direct (yes, im taking into account size, weight, dimensions) Their support desk were like its the size and weight that determines value (like im thick) pretty sure if the vendor can send using fedex for 40.00 dollars then theres zero reason you should be charging 1280.00. Hows this legal.

I purchased a two pack of toothbrush cases from them, through Walmarts website. I received one. I have contacted both Vita Box and Walmart, no luck. I know this is not a lot of money, five dollars plus however is a lot for two toothbrush cases as it is, even more pricey for one. I have emailed VitaBox more times than I can count, still never received the second one. In fact, they asked me I'd I had received my brush! I didn't buy a brush!!! Never again, I will run the other way if I see their name attached to anything.

No hassle, great service and good value

Since moving from the US to Ireland, I have had 5 shipments sent to me. Everything that I have ordered was forwarded. You are not just paying for shipping you are also covering the handling. I ordered a lot from Macy's and they ship items one at a time sometimes, it was very easy to cross check the tracking numbers from Macy's with the Viabox system. Having items sent to Oregon saves on sales tax which has saved me quite a bit since California sales tax is over 9% in SF area.
Dealing with customer service has been satisfying even over the busy Christmas holiday weeks, they held my shipments, that I had already scheduled, until I returned to campus in January.
