Hotel Strandparken - A Disappointment! :-(
We rented a suite at Hotel Strandparken, but sadly it was a very disappointing stay. The view and area was/is really nice! But that is it, the hotel was definitely not worth the money.
The cleaning and the morning buffet was indeed lacking! There was no hand soap when we arrived, and the soap holders was really gross!. The Spa bathtub was smelling really really bad, and there came brown water out of the cane in the spa, so it seems like they didn't clean that either! There was spiderweb with dead bugs in the corners, and also you had to check every coffee mugs and glasses, because most of them was also not cleaned good.
One of the beds was almost falling apart, and was making really loud squeaky noises everytime you turned around in it, so that sadly kept us awake both nights.
The morning buffet was very disappointing. There was only 2 kind of healthy very dry and hard bread, and the bread had big holes in it. There was no white bread or "danish"/wienerbrod or pancakes or anything delicious.
So it seems like they only live on the lake view, and not so much on quality, cleaning and service. We give them 2 stars only because of the nice view and area.
