Bernie is an absolute gem

Bernie Has been an absolute gem! I needed to adjust my booking and he was able to coordinate back and forth with the rental company. He took the stress out of my upcoming trip and I’m so grateful. Thank you Thank you!

I was trying to book a car online

I was trying to book a car online. I was to be dropped at Darwin airport to pick it up, but your booking form would not allow me to go ahead as it required details on an incoming flight. Rang and spoke to Paulo, explaining that I was in my eighties with little I T experties, and couldn't get around that problem. Paulo was most helpful .. he took my details and shortly aftyer I received an email with confirmation of the booking I wanted. Most helpful!!

Amazing customer service

Excellent after-sales service

Excellent after-sales service - I had an issue with an unauthorised payment from the Rental Car Co. Vroom did a great job in resolving it and getting a refund.

Outstanding support

The search for a good rate was straightforward and successful. Search criteria were good for finding the deal I wanted.
What is really good, is the quick and extensive help I received when I gave feedback about a small discrepancy in the extra charge. Vroom's support contacted the Hire Car company both at the airport counter and at their HQ to clarify the correct charge. All done within a couple of hours of my giving feedback!

Once bitten twice shy

I booked a car through Vroom Vroom Vroom for use of one day, pickup 4.30pm and drop off 4.30pm the next day.
i also paid the insurance Company for nil excess, the insurance Company is Prosura but I don't even know if they are attached to this Company or Avis Car Rentals.
I arrived for pickup and the assistant told me that although I had paid for nil excess insurance, if I had damage to the car I would have to pay $500 up front and retrieve that back from Prosura. Am I missing something here, I paid for nil excess and suddenly I'm facing another amount to pay even with nil excess paid for? In the event of the car getting damaged. Something is very wrong here. I only heard of this AFTER having paid the insurance Company and being at the AVIS office ready to take the car. I refused to accept this condition and cancelled as I knew nothing about it when booking. And with the prospect of possibly having to pay $500 was not in my budget with the possibility of waiting weeks for a refund. I protested to Avis but it was a ho hum answer, of "that's the way it is these days". Well sorry, never again and customer beware. Ask about this added piece of addons. As the insurance was not taken up at all, I requested a refund of the insurance payment which has been very begrudgingly agreed to.

We also made contact with Avis who advised your booking was tagged as a No Show. To help us investigate your experience further, please email help@vroom.com.au with the name and person at Avis that you communicated with. We would like to verify the information that Avis has provided you.

Prosura is offered as part of the VroomVroomVroom booking process however purchase of rental vehicle excess insurance is optional, not compulsory. Like other forms of travel insurance, Prosura Rental Vehicle Excess Travel Insurance is a reimbursement product. Where an insured is required to pay fees to the rental provider for damage to or theft of the rental vehicle, reimbursement of the those fees is available (subject to policy inclusions, exclusions, eligibility requirements and other terms and conditions of cover).

Prosura has confirmed they actioned your request on Friday.

Does not work for late night airport arrivals

I heard Vroom was a quick, easy service for booking a rental car from the airport. However I was told there were no options available for me because my flight arrival time is 11.30pm, meaning I need a car pickup after midnight. They do not provide any rental cars after midnight. Weak. Be aware if you have a night time flight arrival.

Very easy to book

Very easy to book, also easy cancel process with confirmation received quickly. I had made an error while booking, so need to cancel/amend the booking. This was done same day and I could rebook safely, knowing I had received confirmation my first attempt had been cancelled (with no extra charge).
