Wilted before they even arrived!

These flowers (roses bouquet) were already pretty wilted upon arrival and they lasted 4 days before they were pretty ugly and had to be thrown away. Appalling for a £50 gift!

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful, my daughter paid over £70 for birthday flowers for me, they were never sent!!! After she emailed them with no response received, she followed this us the next day and I called them to check if they had be delivered to the wrong address, she received an email apologising that they had been unable to locate a florist to fulfill the order. 2 days have passed and she's still waiting for a refund!!!!! Disgusting service, would not recommend them, we most certainly never use them again. My daughter is devestated and embarrassed that I never received a birthday wish from her and my grandchildren. I always thought Waitrose were one of the best, my views have most certainly changed😢

Be aware that when you get your order…

Be aware that when you get your order confirmation it will state delivery between 07.00 and 21.00. Ordered to a business address that won't be open at these times - no indication until confirmation received. All Waitrose could offer was a refund...

Do not order the Rose Summer Fields…

Do not order the Rose Summer Fields bouquet as what is shown on the website is nothing like what will arrive. It is much smaller and poorly put together. I think you will need to buy at least two or three of the bouquets to get the look!

I have complained as they were a gift to my mum but I have had no response.

I should have read the reviews

I should have read the reviews. I was let down, the flowers had not arrived. I am chasing customer service now. I paid 65 pounds for a bouquet.

Wish I had read the reviews

Wish I had read the reviews, flowers used to be lovely. Gift arrangement did not have gift card attached. Had to call recipient to check if they got flowers. Customer service eventually offered me £10 compensation and were really not interested in my complaint. Will not use again. Customer service abysmal.

Would not revommend

Delivery was exactly as planned. Flowers were packed well however, 2 of the 3 bunches arrived with no water just loosely tied stems with rose petals turning brown and dropping off as they were being removed from the box.. when flowers were fully removed from the box foliage showed significantly more deterioration through lack of water whist being in transit. (2 warm days prior to delivery).

Delivered day before wedding causing us the need to shop for more flowers to add to bouquets.
The Premier range bouquet £70 arrived with water however a rose head snapped off, again brown curling petals.
Contacted waitrose immediately. Email received requesting details, received confirmation stating my case was being looked into. 1 week later I chased this up and got ,25% refund not to my satisfaction.
Not given the option to upload photos.
Notto the standard I hoped certainly low quality in reflection to price paid.

Bouquet of iris

Bouquet of iris , agapanthus and stocks £45 to be sent to a family member for a special event . It was lucky that I was visiting as it is hard for the recipients to complain .
However ….
The flowers arrived fairly battered several broken , the agapanthus were already dying 3 days later all dead . For £45 in June there were not many blooms 3 agapanthus , 6 iris and about 9 stocks . After several emails ( several asking for billing info already supplied the payment was refunded however …the surprise was spoilt , time consuming and embarrassing the present was useless . Absolutely not ok will not use again .

I should have looked at the reviews…

I should have looked at the reviews before I ordered flowers through Waitrose. I ordered the Hedgerow bouquet with sea Hollys, eucalyptus leaves, pastel roses, asters and lisianthus, which were shown in the picture. What arrived was a sorry bunch of chrysanthemums, garish roses and a bit of what looked like laurel. It was awful, a stubby little bunch of boring flowers. I was very upset as I had particularly chosen Hedgerow as it is the type of flowers my daughter and her husband like (it was for their anniversary). I am well aware of the caveat on the website that says florists may use discretion in which flowers they use, but I never thought this meant you got a totally different bouquet. The customer service has been rubbish and although I have had a couple of e mails, they mean nothing, they do not deal with my complaint and are just generic, telling me they have my complaint and giving me a number to quote if Id like to ring up, otherwise they will be in touch. Well they have not been in touch and I am still fuming that they can think sending out a different bouquet to that ordered is okay. I understand one or maybe two of the blooms may not have been available but we are in June and all those flowers would have been achievable. Dont waste your money, the flowers are rubbish and the customer service is worse. Just an update that after many many e mails and being passed around from one person to another I asked for my complaint to be expedited to a manager. Eventually they refunded my money in full, but no apology whatsoever. The reason for the refund was 'not like the image'. No s*** Sherlock.

Battered box, battered flowers

Yodel dumped the box and ran. Not surprising, box was battered and soaked. No water left to keep the flowers fresh. Several flower heads fell off when we transferred them to a vase. So disappointed. I bought these for my wife who has been a star looking after me after an accident, and this shabby mess is what Waitrose deliver. Yes they refunded but they’ve permanently lost a customer.

2 days late.

Ordered flowers for my friend's birthday. They arrived 2 days later, despite me scheduling the day of delivery 2 weeks in advance. I was also only informed after paying that the delivery time could be anywhere from the early hours of the morning till last thing at night.

Waitrose florist is a con; do not use them.

Abysmal performance

Abysmal. Would give 0 stars if that were an option. Placed order weeks ago for delivery of bouquet/prosecco/chocolates for the birthday of an elderly relative. Assumed that the gift would be delivered during daylight hours but it’s 8pm and my flowers are sweating in the back of a delivery van
which still has 13 stops before it gets to my aunt. What a useless waste of time and effort. Don’t offer a specialist service if you are not equipped to provide one.

Petrol station quality

We thought we'd use Waitrose Florist to deliver the flowers to both our mothers in advance of Mothers Day, and the website images gave the impression of quality (which we expected for the price paid). How bitterly disappointed we were (and embarrassed) when we saw the flowers when we arrived later. The fresh flowers out of Waitrose foyer were far better (and half the price). No better than last minute thought purchases from a petrol station forecourt. Will never use them again.

Not sure I would give it 1 out of 5

Not sure I would give it 1 out of 5. Ordered £45 orchid in a pot to be delivered to Leeds. Pot delivered broken. I was offered refund or new delivery. I chose refund and got £20 because I found a pot and put the plant in. Offered to send the whole thing back...not possible. Very sad for a birthday present. Will not use waitrose again. Shame I can't show the photo of how broken the pot was.

Be warned

I received 4 bouquets from Waitrose 2 of them were the No 1 bouquets, one-off which wilted within 2 days, the others were all dead within 7 days in in spite of daily attention. I complained to Waitrose florist who said they would send me out a fresh bouquet on the Monday they did not arrive and have had to complain again. These are expensive flowers sent by generous people who are expecting to bring pleasure to the recipients but are actually being ripped off by Waitrose who rely on the recipient not telling the sender as it is an embarrassing situation. I will at some point tell those lovely people who regularly send me flowers never to use Waitrose again. Pretty shocking stuff for what I have always considered a premium company. Sort out your floristry Waitrose !

Sadly I didn't see the reviews before…

Sadly I didn't see the reviews before ordering a hand tied bouquet for my daughter, for completing her final year exams at Uni. If I could give a rating of less than 1 I would !! The hand tied bouquet was held together with elastic bands ! The box the flowers were delivered in had no arrows on it, so consequently it was left upside down & judging by the damage to the roses, had been like that for much of its journey. In fact if you used the handles on the box, it meant the flowers were kept upside down, so clearly they should have been packed the other way up!!!! There was absolutely no water or moist cooler around the stems to keep them happy in transit. I thought I was buying into John Lewis/Waitrose standards, how wrong I was !! If you want to keep your reputation & your customers, I would find someone else to supply your flowers !!! A very disappointed customer !!!

On the day the flowers were supposed to be delivered, they sent me an email saying they couldn’t be delivered that day. Why advertise next day delivery, when they can’t deliver on that service. I expect much better from the John Lewis group!
