Hugely disappointing Waitrose No 1 bouquet for…

I ordered a Waitrose No 1 bouquet for Mother's Day for my daughter. When it arrived the delivery man shoved it at her and roughly handled it. When my daughter opened it the flowers were topsy turvy in the box and two stems were broken off with the remaining flowers crushed. She was disappointed but not more than I was as it ruined her special moment I intended for her. I contacted the delivery company - not their problem apparently. I contacted Waitrose Florist and, after reminders and almost two weeks later someone got back to me. Wanted photos which I uploaded, plus description and all info. Heard nothing. Another period of time goes by then reminders, again! Eventually someone comes back and says they are very busy (not surprised if the flowers sent were like this) and that they will refund me on my card and give a voucher for £50. Oh, but by the way, can I resend photos as they couldn't open the pic? Anyway it turns out that Waitrose "refund" was £3.95 paid by credit card as I used my hard earnt vouchers to pay the rest! So, basically, money back and £5 for the disappointment! Do they really think this ameliorates the situation? Anyway, here we are - how long is it since Mother's Day and, surprise, surprise, despite promising the £3.95 refund twice, nothing has been done! Waitrose Florist has been a huge, huge, disappointment and I will not be using them again! The company has been appallingly run since their new CEO arrived, downhill all the way!

Roses virtually dead. Appalling customer service.

Roses delivered in an almost dead condition. Browned on outside and at tips. Clearly in my opinion, these have been “frozen” - unnaturally stored to prolong their life over the Bank Holiday weekend. Poor response from Waitrose, repeatedly unable and unwilling to address direct questions regarding storage and transit of the roses. Repeated requests to address this issue ignored. Completely dismissive response.

Appalling - yet again

My son uses Waitrose Florist to send me bouquets as he lives abroad. I am definitely going to tactfully tell him never again.
Flowers are appalling always. Bouquets are expensive, yet flowers are always really poor quality and the flowers are sparse. This time was a rose bouquet. The flowers were well past their best. 3 yellow roses - one lost all its petals as I unpacked. The other 2 completely dead 2 days later pink ones are all dying after 3 days.
Waitrose should be ashamed of providing such appalling quality.

Poor quality

I ordered a rose plant for our anniversary but it arrived on its side, the soil was completely dry and it dropped every leaf within 24 hours. Definitely a big disappointment. Will not be ordering from them again

Wouldn't order again

I ordered a very pretty vase arrangement but what was delivered was totally different and not half as appealing as what I ordered according to the picture on the website. The vase was supposed to have a terracotta band around the bottom of an off-white crackle glazed body. What was delivered was a plain white crackle glazed vase, really boring and not what I wanted at all. I didn't think twice about ordering from Waitrose as grocery wise I trust them to have quality products but this is disappointing. I have been in touch with Waitrose on Instagram and the solution is to return it however they are missing the point of gifting something. You can't have something delivered as a gift and then ask the recipient to return it especially since they are about 200 miles away. Kind of defeats the object of gifting.
Additionally, it said it was in the sale, reduced from £30 but when I checked out it just charged me full price. Just wouldn't trust the service again.

My children sent me a bouquet for…

My children sent me a bouquet for Mother’s Day! Well where do I start! Looked awful from the onset! I put them in water and they perked up a bit! Only lasted two days and then the daffs died off! Then the pink and purple flowers died the day after! Well the irises which are my all time favourites which my children know never even came out as they were far shorter than the other flowers and just got lost! The only thing that survived a couple of days was the greenery! Not good at all and very disappointing which I didn’t like to mention to my children because it was done with a good heart! Last year they sent me a similar bouquet from M & S and I will be keeping everything crossed that they return to them next year! Very sad indeed! I will not be ordering from Waitrose flowers any time soon either! I only gave two stars as they arrived on the day by a very nice delivery driver who wished me a happy Mother’s Day! Bless!

Poor!

I received some flowers meant for Mother’s Day. They arrived a day late, and strangely the label on the box said delivery ‘Monday to Saturday’ so how they were expected to reach me on a Sunday, I’m not sure!!

On opening them, they were wilting and some of the petals already falling off. Very few flowers too. Nothing at all like the images on their website, nor anything like the quality they are claiming to deliver.

I’ve had far better flowers from local supermarkets. They weren’t cheap I know, so Waitrose really need to up their game and look into this. I definitely wouldn’t buy flowers from them.

My son ordered the Mothers Day bouquet…

My son ordered the Mothers Day bouquet of flowers at a cost of £75. The flowers were half dead and some had broken off. I told him to complain which he did and received a refund but I would have thought a company like Waitrose would have sent a small token bouquet as a full apology as well as the refund.

Disappointing....

Received a bouquet for Mother's Day from my son. Disappointing with quite a lot of tatty greenery included. The flowers looked tired and have only lasted a few days. Not what I would have expected from Waitrose.

Wish i’d seen these bad reviews! Exactly same as all the other reviews! Rotten flowers! Not as advertised and now waitrose are refusing a refund! I will take this all the way to the financial ombudsman! Not what I expected from John Lewis!!

Don’t bother

Two bouquets ordered at a total cost of £100. Both bouquets were for Mothers Day. The flowers were awful, the roses were dead on arrival, the packaging to keep them moist was bone dry. I was so disappointed - do not waste your money ordering with Waitrose.

Rip off Waitrose flowers

The one star is purely for the fact they managed to deliver them on the right day (mother’s day)
The flowers were appalling, a few grubby looking roses that looked more like they were ready for the bin, nothing like the beautiful display on the picture advertising them! I was embarrassed that my mum received such a cheap looking bunch. In reality I could of bought a better bunch for £5 from any supermarket on any other day, instead I wasted £50 on what turned out to be a lot of foliage and 8 roses. First & definitely the last time I use Waitrose! Never again👎👎

White rose bouquet a disaster for Mothers Day

Have just complained to Waitrose about a bouquet of white long stem roses I ordered for Mothers Day. They arrived last Wednesday 15th. One was broken which was ok but since then several have wilted at the base of the bloom and toppled over and after 4 days my wife has had to throw them out.
Very poor quality and have written for a response. They ought to challenge the supplier of this rubbish!

Crappy Mothers Day

I wish I’d found this page sooner, but I foolishly trusted Waitrose’s reputation for quality. Never again. Suffice it to say, I now understand why they don’t include customer reviews of their bouquets on their own website. I ordered a £75 Mothers Day arrangement, for delivery on the Saturday to try and avoid such issues. The bouquet arrived with half a dozen of the blooms snapped off; and the few that were left looked so embarrassingly scrawny, I was absolutely mortified. I wish we could upload photographs here as words cannot do justice to how utterly awful it looks, for any price, let alone for this premium cost. Waitrose need to stop offering a floristry service if this is the best they can do, as it’s severely detrimental to their otherwise 5* reputation.
