Warrington Borough Council Reviews 

If I could give them 0 stars, I would! I can't decide whether our beloved Labour councillors are severely lacking foresight or if they're just this stupid - and that's me being polite about it! They're supposed to represent 'the people' but it's safe to say that the will of the people of Latchford and Westy has been totally ignored. As someone who lives on Broadbent Avenue, I know what a hazard that road is due to its narrowness at the best of times so to now make it the main access through to Reynolds Street is utterly mind-boggling. Ambulances and fire engines struggle to navigate the road and I now fear we will see multiple people lose their lives as the emergency services will now be left trying to navigate Latchford with the increased traffic pressures and poor access.
If you wanted to make a difference to Latchford and make something safer, they should have been looking st the ju cation of Bridgewater avenue and kingsway South- people are always crashing, knocking people off bikes, running over pedestrians etc as that junction is an absolute death trap.
To forge on with the Latchford and Westy central 6 plan despite the outcry from those of us who live here (and already pausing the Orford trials) just shows that our councillors aren't in their positions to represent us, they're in it for self-gain!

PS, your planters are hideous and they look full of weeds. If you really must cause us great inconveniences and kill some of us off, at least make them pleasing to the eye!

total disregard for the thousands of local people( and emergency services) who they failed to consult with before blocking off roads and reversing directions of travel on One Way Streets. One Councillor even admitted he wasn't really fully aware of Information pertaining to an issue (as he had been on holiday prior to voting against a motion proposing a delay to those proposals. Absolute shambles !

This council does not listen too thier constituents or care what they think. Absolutely appalling

Absolute shambles, don't listen to the views or opinions of the residents. Couldn't care less how their new traffic measures actually impact the people who use the roads and wasting our money on pointless schemes.

This council do not listen to majority of their residents. Made a complete shambles of the road system around the town due to stupid Central 6 idea...very undemocratic...hopefully will all be voted out next time!! 😡

I have only recently been made aware of the stupid idea to block off roads in areas of Warrington, to make the air cleaner? Explain how this is going to work, as if you close one road, it just diverts traffic on to another road, making that road's air dirtier. With the price of fuel today, people are not making unnecessary journeys. This idea is probably the most stupid idea any council has come up with in my lifetime. We are constantly being told that we need more roads and WBC are closing them?
Please tell the constituents which way each councillor voted, so we can vote out the imbecilles who supported this moronic idea.

Absolute shambles of a council and not somewhere I would recommend living anymore. Always been proud to say I'm a Warringtonian but road cuts have decreased the value of my property. Traffic is a nightmare and now even worse thanks to a council plan called central6 that was hugely underexamined with lack of foundation and evidence and appealed against by thousands of residents. It went ahead though anyway because the council did not listen to votes. Public transport is far too expensive, dated, infrequent and very unreliable. Taxis company is monopolised which stops any fair competition and pricing. The town centre has more boarded up shops than actual tennants. They signed off on an energy deal that crashed completely and wasted millions of taxpayers money.

Lack of affordable housing and all new housing is being developed in already troubled high traffic areas which will only make the congestion worse. Parking is virtually impossible and to top it all off, we are led by a council that doesnt listen to the people they should be representing and only insterests are their own back pockets and very poor decisions. They need to be held accountable. Do not come to Warrington to live

Having voted labour all my working life i am ashamed of our labour councillors.they dont listen to there own peoples views or care what they think.i hope your all sitting pretty while your people are struggling with this inept ,stupid rediculous plan to shut our streets/roads off.you have ruined this town,its dirty and an embarrassment.the money spent on this would be best spent elsewhere.i for one will NOT vote labour afaun.make the most of it councillors because u wont be in next term.😡

Disgusting what they are doing to the town. Putting local residents safety at risk, as they are reducing access down streets, for everyone including firefighters and ambulance services.

The road closures In Westy and Orford are madness. This council shows a total lack of respect for the people that voted them in. Incredible Arrogance.

Disgusting behaviour by Warrington Councillors, who do not listen to the residents. Arbitrarily making decisions because they've got money to spend. Should have consulted with the residents BEFORE you applied with your not so brilliant ideas. Central 6 is a fiasco delivered through a dictatorship by people who have no intention of helping to 'clean the air' whilst they drive gas guzzling vehicles! When cyclists and pedestrian pay road tax, then let them have a say or reduce our road tax now we can't use a lot of roads. An already congested town is now going to become impossible to drive through. Get it right or get out!

If I could score no stars I would, Warrington borough Council is a joke. They don't care about residents at all, this central 6 is being held appallingly as they don't understand the danger to life that they are creating. It'll cost lives as the emergency services have to travel longer to get to people. They also don't see the risks that it will cause on major roads like Longford Street which is already a death trap. They could quite easily use speed bumps or put in pedestrian lights to help pedestrians on Longford St and other major roads but they prefer to cause more cars using them by going ahead with a dangerous scheme. They don't live here so don't understand the terrible effects it'll have on residents. They won't do them in the streets they live but willing to make lives hell for others. What is it borough Council "not on my streets, but its good enough for other places?" they need to actually see where they are putting these and realise just what a hell they are going to cause. Heaven help anyone who lives on a central 6 route if they have an emergency, they can kiss goodbye to their loved ones if they need an ambulance and say goodbye to their property of they need a fire engine as they won't be able to get there in time to help!

Very disappointed that they are not listening to the residents who are going to be so inconvenienced by the new road layouts. Dreadful waste of money.

If I could score minus I would. The way the council have handles the Central 6 pilots is simply wrong. The council need to ensure that residents and the rest of Warrington who use the effected areas have a real say rather than the tokenistic approach they have taken

Never known such a bad Labour council in all my years....they repeatedly ignore the very people who put their trust in them, shame on them they are an absolute disgrace. If I could give them a minus I would!

This council have no care or consideration for the people of Warrington, they have pushed ahead with there plans in Westy after it has been hugely opposed. They have made this decision on the basis of speaking with 20 people in the area some of whom are there own councillors. We asked for a proper public consultation and the labour councillors plotted between themselves to all refuse to listen to the people. Always a labour voter never EVER again. Do not claim to give democracy but then refuse to even listen to the people you apparently represent
