I’d give them no stars if I could avoid if ur disabled or mental health

I’d give them no stars if I could, moved in feb last year they r awear of my disability and mental health telling me how I should live. Estate officer unprofessional which on camera, complained I had 3 cat biscuits around pet bowl, telling a disabled person who just moved in to do a room a day and all this. They use my mental health against me. Had a meeting Friday 13 to revive a letter on the 19 to state I’m breach of tenancy which I’m not as recited in the meeting I wasn’t. Same day I had meeting they sent that letter out. Thanks to wdh im always ill coz of them telling me they don’t expect a queens palace which they actually do. They r full of lies and all they want is money. I’ve never been a bad tennent at all and yet they abuse me mentally. They know I’m going through demestic violence and expect me to do all this stuff and forget about my disability and my mental health I’m on edge of killing my self coz of wdh. All lies and bunch of bullies. Ur best of jumping off a bridge than been with wdh. I had to call police on a neibour as wdh wouldn’t do anything at all. They put me in a property where they hate young people and they all judge u and once u tell wdh they give u middle finger basically and wdh shouldn’t reply to this as they don’t do f all

Avoid At All Costs..

I was an employee of wdh with a 10 year unblemished work record and no sickness absence.

Dismissed for raising legitimate health and safety concerns and for highlighting management incompetence.

If your face fits and you are prepared to jump through hoops, you will fit in nicely.

Awful company.

Avoid at all costs.

Waste of time

Despite being in band b for being homeless and priority on medical grounds your just wasting your time bidding on properties that are suitable for you and your needs your never acknowledged and if you ring them to see if your in line for an offer they give the same answer that your close and to keep bidding , I’ve been waiting 16 years already and never been offered anywhere despite recommendations from the panel just a waste of time even trying just to be fobbed off all the time , wish I knew the tricks that people use to move house to house everytime they want because it amazes me how some people who get housed by wdh and don’t even live in them yet genuine people that need housing cant even get it

Still waiting 16 months 😤

Been on the council list since the beginning of 2020! my son is now 15 month old, been in Band B for 16 month after leaving an awful situation.. sleeping on a sofa, overcrowded housing and still 0 help. I have wrote to my local MP to try getting re-assessed and all they try to say is ‘try renting’..if I could afford to rent as a single mum then I wouldn’t be using homesearch???? or try bidding on areas that ARENT in Wakefield? I don’t know what they spend half there time doing, half the results for previous weeks aren’t even allocated to anyone, drove past properties that are still empty months later, you ring to ask for any information where you’ve placed and get shut down. I get there is people in worse conditions but there is also people I know in BETTER living situations than me that are Band A or have been housed within a year, and even worse giving houses to people that don’t even look after them and are never in them!!! Why put properties on if you aren’t housing people in them??? 😠

You complain about abusive bullying neighbour, they do nothing, they themselves are bullies and when they receive complaints they don’t even investigate as they say they will.

19 years of ATROCIOUS NOISE AND OTHER HARASSMENT Discrimination Blacklisting and Black Mould

PT 1
I suspect the vague positive reviews for WDH on here are fake and written by WDH staff.
I have been harassed and blacklisted by WDH for asking the wrong questions and making the wrong kind of complaints.
The deranged man living below me who has twice threatened to stab me and who was arrested in 2018 for threatening to kill his neighbours and me and kicking his neighbours door is still here and still engaging in the same anti-social behaviour.
After he kicked his neighbours door and made death threats the estate officer told me that 'no action has been taken' and no action has been taken since. 6.5 years of continual bang, bang, knock, knock, hammer, drill (fake DIY) and police being called by his other neighbours and he is still here. He will not be evicted until I leave this place. He is being used to prise me out for asking the wrong questions about CCTV and phone masts.
I tried to take a nap today and was woken by loud knocking and an hour later startled by a hard window slam! The stink of ganja most nights so they spray lots of vile air freshener.
The CEO is on £207,000 per annum yet I have to live in this damp flat which shares a wall floor or ceiling with four other households and three of them have subjected me to harassment but never told me why. He really could not care less as he lives in his suburban mansion which we pay for. In fact he sanctions the policy of blacklisting, discrimination and harassment intended to drive me out. You can be sure he is Common Purpose trained in dealing with 'stroppy punters' like me who believe that WDH should be democratically run.
The lunatic below whacks the ceiling with a metal rod to wake me even though I have not made any noise he could have heard.
The next door neighbors hit the floor with a metal rod to cause a strong vibration which wakes me by making a loud bang or my body jerk by triggering the startle reflex. When I reported this to two estate officers they just smirked at me.
My flat is one of the worst in the block for damp and black mould. This summer some men were sent to fill cracks in the walls and I asked one of them if he had been ordered to fill cracks in the walls of my flat and he answered 'no'. So WDH want to keep my flat damp and mouldy as that may help, along with the harassment, to drive me out.
Below this WDH will write they are 'sorry you had a bad experience'. WDH ARE NOT SORRY. THEY INTEND ME TO HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE TO DRIVE ME OUT!
More loud bangs today plus WDH vans beeping all morning. I suspect that is harassment as the reverse warning can be turned off and they are aware it wakes me.
As one who has lived in substandard rented flats since mid-June 1987 I am able to speak authoritatively on the subject of the problems inherent in such flats.
When you rent a flat you always share a wall, floor or ceiling with at least one other household. So your peace and quiet is always dependent on the attitude your neighbour or neighbours have towards you, as if they take an attitude of hostility to you, they will harass you in whatever way they are able, and you cannot choose your neighbours. If you have a neighbour who intentionally engages in behaviour which annoys, disrupts sleep and or intimidates you then you will find that if you live in council or housing association property that ending the harassment is fraught with obstacles.
Firstly you have to obtain evidence of the noise harassment. So you will have to obtain recordings of the harassment. If you play the recordings to the contemptuous could-not-care-less staff of the company they can always say, as they did to me 'l am not impressed' and do nothing: they can try to trivialise the harassment which saves them having to do additional work to the little they do anyway. If death threats are made to you then they can just tell you to contact the police as they did to me. The contemptuous staff of these companies have no incentive to put a stop to the harassment as they are fully paid at the end of each week or month no matter what misery your neighbours inflict on you, and if for whatever reason they take a dislike to you they will take pleasure in your misery. A few tenants who leave because of bad neighbours will not reduce their income.
However, a landlord who is the owner of property which he rents to people for profit has a very strong incentive to put a stop to harassment in his property as his livelihood may be dependent on his tenants paying him rent, so that any anti-social tenants who drive out other tenants will deprive him of his livelihood, but even if that is not the case, his income will be reduced by any tenants who drive others out. For private profit-making landlords harassment means reduction of income, whereas all the staff in a department of council housing or working for a not-for-profit housing association such as WDH are paid at the end of each week or month

Don't bother getting an house from WDH…

Don't bother getting an house from WDH if you're disabled. You will be left to suffer inhumanly. You will be lied to, threatened, left to suffer in unadapted properties. When you complain they close ranks. They change their policies to suit them, what they say one moment, they change the next then lie about it. They also lie about what they have said previously evan though you have letters from them to prove they are telling lies. Like my dad used to tell us when we were kids, " to be a good lier you need a good memory ". With them it is lie after lie after lie. Don't forget their golden rule, everything is your fault not theirs. We were threatened into taking an unadopted property that we did not want as we needed an adapted property. Can't get adaptions done. Asked to move, but because we have complained about a member of staff we are being forced to stay here to suffer. Four years not being able to bath because we can't get upstairs to a bathroom. Having to strip wash in a kitchen sink.Three years sleeping on a two seater sofa. WDH don't like you complaining, if you do they retaliate by messing you about, telling lies and making sure that you have no chance of moving. Do they enjoy making disabled suffer physically and mentally, and they call themselves a charity. I will probably suffer for saying all of this by some form of retaliation, but we have been pushed to breaking point. As for those good reviews that WDH have, just look at the statistics. 82% bad reviews can't be wrong. If anyone knows of any other disabled people suffering tell them to come forward and leave their reviews on Trust Pilot. We need to come together to stop this inhumane treatment, which is against human rights.

Where do I start!

I lived in my old house for 15 years and has absolutely no problems. Moved into a brand new build the end of last year and I have had nothing but problems. I have rang over 40 TIMES,been promised calls back, repairs etc and it never happens. I am chasing these EVERY week. The standards are absolutely shocking. The plaster board screws are showing, seal around bath sink and window looks like it’s been done by my 2 year old, cracked toilet seats, spot lights in kitchen don’t work so can’t use kitchen after a certain time amongst other issues!! The bannister came away from the wall and has been replaced with non matching, dirty, scratched, cheap plastic attachments,it’s disgusting! I am absolutely sick to death of chasing this and now refuse to pay my £600 a month rent!!

I have noticed several other bad…

I have noticed several other bad reviews on here about wdh suggesting people just move home rather than wdh deal with their complaints.they did the same to me also.i suffered the same, harrassment from so called estate officers, snide remarks about me being too sensitive etc...despite it been on record about my mental health and anxiety..people do yourself a favour and get out of there! You will never have any kind of decent quality of life in a wdh property. They will bully you, lie to you harrass you, just think if they put as much energy into doing their jobs as they do trying to intimidate vunerable tenants they would be great! But they won't so dont waste your time just find a private rent somewhere, thats what i did, yes its double the rent nearly but my god it was worth it.I now have a nice home with a lovely garden i share so its easier to pay the rent and worth every penny..i would seriously sell all my limbs to never ever have to deal with wdh ever again.Only had a couple of issues in my new place but thats to be expected isn't it because theres wdh flats at the side of my home..but i will not be taking it this time i will name and shame and report everything i went through if it continues.I can't take legal action as im on benefits and also don't really have the legal know how but i hope to God someone finally does it and exposes them for the corrupt losers that they really are. They love to pretend they have powers but they don't, they are just i.d...i ots who managed to get a job at wdh.local i d..i ots with jobs nothing more nothing less.

Horrendous Noise Harassment, Hostile Staff, Black Mould and Blacklisting if You Ask the Wrong Questions or Make the Wrong Complaints

I would never have believed before moving into this WDH property that you could be subjected to such horrendous harassment and that the landlord would not only permit the harassment but even inflict its own harassment on you as well. I was given this flat after going before the mental health re-housing panel after being subjected to ten years of harassment where I lived before. The final 4 years in that town were spent in a WMDC flat into which water poured when it rained into the roof space causing black mould growth which caused me severe allergic rhinitis. In the final few months there we were plagued by gangs of youths coming to buy drugs from a dealer. They smashed the security door so they could get in when they wanted to an empty flat left to them by a tenant avoiding rent payment. They would come in and let off airbombs on the landing. WMDC did nothing.
The block in which I now live has a severe damp and black mould problem. I have had many bouts of severe disabling allergic rhinitis as a result.
But the worst aspect of the place is the harassment by neighbors and even by WDH itself.
Because I complained about a certain installation and asked questions about CCTV in the property I have been blacklisted and discriminated against by WDH. They moved an insane delusional man into the property directly below me. He makes continual loud bangs and other loud noises by which he intends to annoy, startle and wake his neighbours. The noise goes on continually for three or four hours some days (WDH's harassment by proxy) He has also threatened to stab me on two occasions and threatened to kill the people living below him. They left because of the noise and threats as did his next door neighbour.
He has done enough in the way of noise nuisance and death threats to justify eviction but he is being kept there in order to create stress for me and in the hope that the stress will cause me to leave.
I offered to show two estate managers a video of him threatening to kill me and his neighbours which I recorded on the evening when he kicked his neighbours door and was arrested. However, they just smirked at me and refused to view it; told me to go to the police. I sent them records of the noise nuisance but none of them were ever acknowledged by WDH. When he threatened to stab me and slit my throat last year I informed WDH but they never spoke to him nor me about the matter.
If I complain about any neighbour they will not investigate. If the neighbour makes threats they will just tell me to go to the police.
In 2017 they sent two senior managers ostensibly to check a socket which could have been checked by one estate officer in seconds. They went into the living room and one of them tried to wind me up by saying 'it's cluttered, that window is dirty' etc. The other stalked about scowling continuously and when asked questions he snarled the answers in a hostile voice in a vain attempt to intimidate me. Before leaving the fat one pointed at my runner and said 'that's dirty, that is WDH property.'
The one who scowled and snarled then sent me a series of nasty letters about various things that were not against tenancy rules in order to cause a fear of eviction.
In 2020 they began sending two or more persons when a visit was necessary. For example, this year they sent three staff to do a fire safety check when prior to 2020 they had only sent one. I would only allow one of them in, the estate officer, so the electrician said he had to stand by the door which had to be left open but I insisted on shutting the door but he would only allow the EO to come in if the door was left unlocked. Why are they using special measures when visiting me? The scowling snarling manager has falsely led them to believe I am a threat so that special measures are needed to keep staff safe. By that means they intend to decrease my privacy by sending more staff in as they know that that will cause mental distress. The man who came to test the electrics wanted two others to enter with him when only one had ever come before. When I say to them that you must wrongly believe I am a threat they just gaslight me and say no but don't explain why they are doing it. One of them said 'it's because I don't know you' and another said 'it's because I'm new.' He does not know any of the tenants but only turns up with another when he visits me. and she is not accompanied by two others to any other flat because she is new. What difference would having an electrician with her make. She did the inspection without help.
Sending two or more when previously they only sent one is a way to cause me distress by extra deprivation of privacy and offending me by telling staff to use special measures when visiting me.
Management enjoys inflicting continual noise harassment, sleep deprivation and stress on me as punishment for asking the wrong questions etc. It is tantamount to TORTURE!
