You would have to be pretty desperate to give your money to these thieves......The problem is they know this! They know that you are probably elderly or have health issues that keep you restricted to your home.
We would all expect to be paying a reasonable premium for the service they offer but this company are having a laugh at our expense.
Beelivery.......Others should do what I have done!
Trading Standards should be contacting you soon.

This company is awful

This company is awful. I ordered something and clicked NO SUBSTITUTIONS. They delivered something else entirely and the delivery driver refused to take it away so it had to be thrown in the bin as it is something I don't eat. I have since found the item I ordered was discontinued over 3 years ago but they still have it showing as 'in stock'. I have advised them of this and requested they show it as unavailable. They have still not refunded yet and just keep replying saying they'll sort out a refund.

Not sure about the hate being posted here?

The service works flawlessly, as expected and I've had many deliveries IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! The thing is Beelivery is crowd sourced, it does not HIRE drivers. People can install the app, sign up as a driver, job done. If no one wants to deliver in your area at a time of day, that's not Beelivery's fault, they don't have that kind of employment contractt with drivers. This is also the ONLY reason they can offer deliveries in the middle of the night... Although expensive, they do what they're designed to do and have never let me down.

I mean - its a great concept - but...

I mean - the concept is awesome, but as I sit here waiting,I'm pretty sure that Spa will be open long before a delivery is possible so will be cancelling at next given oppurtunity - I live in the middle of nowhere and can't see it happening. The solution here would be to have a map that both drivers and customers could access that is tracking any drivers even remotely in a particular area - then each party could see how far away/near they are and either take their chances or decide against. That would make sense - great idea but I think Dragons Den would have seen that flaw in the plan instantly.Just hope I get a decent refund

These jokers don't pay their drivers.

These jokers don't pay their drivers.

For anyone who's not aware how this works here goes:
1) Driver gets a notification through the app that an order is placed.
2) Driver has to go to a shop and personally purchase the items.
3) Driver has to detail every item cost, take a photo of the receipt and leave for the customer.
4) Driver gets to the customer and then gets a PIN to input onto the app that says the customer has received their order.
5) Driver then gets reimbursed by Beelivery for the cost plus the job. Sometimes the driver gets the tip but not always.

That's how it's meant to work. In reality even though this company has invested hundreds of thousands into AI (the entire business is run off 1 guy's laptop in Abu Dhabi - check companies house for yourself), they've failed to use a very simple script that checks availability of items and prices at major supermarkets.

So often what happens is that people order something like "gluten free cherry tart". It's not a common item and the price one week may be £3 and £4.50 the next. As a driver you try your best to get exactly what the customer is being charged for. Beelivery's system can't/won't accommodate this.

Besides the fact that Beelivery have charged the poor customer £7 for the item, they put a limit on the drivers to not spend more than say £4 on that item.

There is literally no way around this. After numerous chatbot (remember no people at Beelivery) discussions, their (AI) recommendation is to simply put it in a £0.01 and their system will sort it. Except their system doesn't :-(

That means the drivers foot the bill and don't get reimbursed.

Put in too high a value and it's the same thing, you don't get reimbursed. So for example the order is:
6 eggs - £2.50
1 milk 1l - £1
2 gluten free cherry pies - £4.50each - £9
Total is £12.50

Their system doesn't allow you to enter £4.50 for the cherry pies. So you either enter their max which may be £4, or £0.01

That's all you'll get reimbursed.

If you said for instance you would add the £0.50 to the other items but still get to the same total spend, you'll get zero reimbursement. Even if you use your store loyalty card to get a discount.

This leaves drivers in a dilemma, if something is even £0.01 more than Beelivery have determined then the driver simply puts in that the item can't be found. Have a look at previous reviews of Beelivery and look at how many times people complain of not getting everything they've paid for or a very poor substitution.

Also for all the man's intelligence to have his business run completely autonomously, he doesn't seem to grasp that the UK doesn't have 24 hour shopping centres like we did before covid.

His system still allows a customer to order things like 3kg bags of chicken flavoured dog food and fresh lamb steaks at 3am. Only place selling those are major chains that are open till 11pm.

I've had customers bumused that I couldn't get those items at 3am (I get it some people work nights), thinking that somehow there was a "Beelivery depot". There isn't. It's simply a bunch of people that drive for Deliveroo, Uber eats etc. We buy it in the only shops open and take it people.

Get away from what Beelivery charge just for the items, but the "extra" charges and it's insane that drivers are left out of pocket.

The thing this company/bloke in Abu Dhabi fails to understand is that drivers and customers talk to each other. In my area there is 1 other driver prepared to deliver for this cowboy. 3 years ago there was over a dozen.

When you upset drivers they stop delivering for you, or only deliver what they know they'll get reimbursed. Which in turn means that customers can order but the order gets cancelled and it takes them a week to get their money back from Beelivery. Customers tell all their friends how bad Beelivery is and there you have it.

3 years ago there would be in the region of £900-£1100 per week to be made. To be clear that would have been about 200 deliveries (granted split between over a dozen drivers).

Now the weekly average is £60. Yep £60. That's less than 10 deliveries every week. Often those 10 deliveries are at 4am on a weekend and it's always out of desperation from a pisshead who can't get booze anywhere else. It's rare to have anything come during the week and almost unheard of for it to be during the day.

Reputation is everything and no amount of bots or fake reviews is going to change a customer or drivers bad experience.

Normally I'd root for the little guy, but in this case I have no sympathy. Keep enjoying that lounger is Abu Dhabi, in a year from now you won't be able to sell this company or the brand for a £1.

Despicable

My son placed an order with them on 16th June, they took just under £40 from his account but after the delivery time ending up at 6 hours they cancelled his order. They said his refund would be in his account within 3-5 days, yet despite numerous emails he still hasn't received it and now they are ignoring his emails. Absolutely disgusting!!!!

Failed delivery, no reimbursement of goods, no payment of delivery journey

I had a failed delivery as a driver, after purchasing the goods with my own money, arrived to the customer, they said their phone was dead and couldn't retrieve the pin number. I waited a long while as they were trying to charge their phone. They eventually said they couldn't get it.
Reached out for assistance on the chat app, informed them about everything and had to return home with purchased goods.
Chat support said I would be reimbursed for both the items and the delivery (which literally was a 30min journey one way, and another 30 min journey return). Sent several emails and chat texts no one is responding. I used my own money and now no one wants to help me get my money back. I have no use for the items either. So I'm stuck, no support, no care!

Understand how Beelivery actually operates

Understand how Beelivery actually operates

Understanding how Beelivery works. When you place an order with Beelivery and a delivery driver accepts the order, the driver has to find a store (could be a Tesco, Sainsbury's, petrol station forecourt like Shell or Londis, or a late night shop, etc.) the driver shops in store and then purchases the items out of their own money (this is not like Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat, etc.), and then delivers the items to the customer. The driver needs to input the correct PIN into the Beelivery driver app and upload the receipt in app to get paid for the job. A delivery driver has up to 5 minutes after accepting an offer through the app to decide whether to complete it or cancel it without issue.

Drivers typically earn in the range of £6 to £7 for orders completed during the day, no matter the size of the order or the amount that the driver has to pay to purchase the items (whether the driver is shopping for 1 item or 40 items, say, for a grocery shop the driver is not paid any more, but it will take the driver more time)

Drivers typically earn £8+ for orders completed during the night, no matter the size of the order or the amount that the driver has to pay to purchase the items.

A driver only receives base pay and loses out on any bonus incentive for accepting and completing an order if it takes over an hour from when the customer placed the order. (There are two tiers up to the hour mark - worth a total of £1.50 maximum if the driver delivers by the earliest 1st tier - I think that is if the driver has completed the order within 40-45 minutes).

Since drivers are incentivised to deliver quickly, it can mean that say if you are ordering late at night when not many larger stores or shops are open, or if you live rurally, items on your order may be unavailable and a driver may not think that they have the time to substitute multiple items or travel to multiple fuel station forecourts or late night shops adding to their mileage (that is not renumerated beyond the amount they accepted initially for the order) for a low paying offer that they are stuck with. What the customer can do after receiving their order is contact Beelivery Customer Support to update the items that they received on their order and request a refund for the amount of the difference. Say if the driver could only source you a cheaper brand of an item on the order compared to a more expensive branded item that was out of stock. The delivery driver has to upload a copy of the receipt to the Beelivery app to get paid, so Beelivery are aware what the driver has purchased and delivered to you.

In any case you need to bear in mind that the driver has purchased the items on your order out of their own pocket - the driver does not get paid for completing the order until they have input the correct PIN into the driver app and uploaded the receipt. If the customer cannot be reached, the driver has to return the items to the store that they bought the items from for a full refund, mileage at their own expense for the entire trip.

If I was in the the drivers shoes I think that a Beelivery customer must be having an absolute larff if they refuse to provide the PIN. I expect that the driver would be contacting support and heading back to the shop for a refund.
