Collection of New Hyundai Car on 14/07/26
We collected our car on 14/07/26, and David Gore was our sales person. Our experience with David was excellent, as soon as we arrived he took us to our new car and showed us around it in detail. Then went to complete all the paperwork, he was well prepared and made everything so easy. We felt that he had explained everything we needed to know in detail, with no fuss or rush. Then he gave us a detailed awareness session on how everything in the car worked. We drove away feeling well informed and immensely happy with the car and experience.
Excellent service
I recently bought an EV from west riding Hyundai Bolton, Kareena showed me around the car then allowed me to take an extensive test drive. I am very happy with the car, and cannot fault the service I received, Kareena is very professional and I would be happy to deal with West Riding again

West Riding Blackpool have just taken over the Hyundai dealership, I found myself being transferred into the hands of David Gore at West Riding to handle my Motability vehicle order. I had wanted to take possession of my new car on my Anniversary, so this gave David only 2 working days to organise everything, which was difficult as not everything had been transferred over, but he managed it, pulled out all the stops and made me a very happy customer. David was very helpful, kind and understanding, the handover was very smooth, he explained everything, there were no problems at all and I am thrilled with my new car. Thanks also to Rhys who dealt with my original order, he was knowledgable, professional and very easy to deal with.

Nice Inster, But What a Time‑Waster
We were looking to buy a Hyundai Inster … genuinely a lovely car. But the customer service from Hyundai West Riding Manchester was a complete waste of time. They’re advertising prices everywhere that they don’t actually honour, just to get people to call. Then suddenly it’s “oh, the website has a problem” and the real price is thousands more.
You tend to believe it… but the same story on your own website too .. wow what a coincidence. Firstly, you think maybe AutoTrader had an issue… but apparently every website is “broken” for you. It just comes across as misleading and a total time‑waster. Customer service felt like a joke.
Called in here to look at used cars
Called in here to look at used cars. Kareena was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, spent time allowing me to test drive three different cars. Unfortunately despite the good deal I was offered I was unable to afford at this time. But having previously bought a car from West Riding, they will be my first choice if I am able to afford to change in future. The professionalism and friendliness of Kareena was first class.
Excellent Service…
I was really pleased with the recent repair service I received from the Colne branch of this dealership. Millie on Reception was extremely efficient and everything was handled perfectly. The car is running so much better now.
In addition, I felt that the charges were very competitive too, which is not often the case with main dealers.

Very possitive experience
I recently purchased a Suzuki Swift Sport from West Riding Hyundai and wanted to leave a review because the experience was genuinely excellent.
From the beginning, Jack Taylor was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. There was no pressure, no sales tactics, just honest communication and a willingness to help. The whole buying process was straightforward and stress-free.
What impressed me most was the amount of work carried out on the car before collection. Several items were attended to that I would never have expected from a used car purchase, and it was clear the dealership wanted the car to be right rather than simply sold.
Since purchasing the car, the included warranty has also been tested after a front suspension spring unexpectedly snapped. This is not something that could reasonably have been anticipated by the dealer, but the warranty process worked exactly as it should and the repair was authorised without issue. That gave me confidence that the support provided with the vehicle was genuine and not just a sales promise.
I should also add some context. Prior to buying this Swift Sport, I purchased a brand new Skoda which ultimately had to be returned following serious faults that could not be resolved, resulting in intervention by the Financial Ombudsman. After that experience, I was understandably cautious when buying another vehicle.
For that reason, the experience with Jack and West Riding Hyundai was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. The car has been excellent, the dealership did everything they said they would do, and the aftersales support has been exactly what I would hope for.
I would happily recommend Jack Taylor and West Riding Hyundai to anyone looking for a vehicle.

Disappointing Service and Excessive Diagnostic Charges
I visited Hyundai in Colne today because my car had an orange engine warning light showing on the dashboard.
As I was taking my vehicle to an authorised Hyundai dealership, I expected the issue to be handled professionally and properly diagnosed, with clear communication throughout the process. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
The dealership kept my car for around an hour to investigate the issue and charged me £150. After their initial inspection, they informed me that they had identified a problem, but said they would need a further two hours of diagnostic work at an additional cost of £300 before they could investigate it further and determine the required repair.
This would have meant paying a total of £450 purely for diagnostics, with no guarantee of a repair or a final resolution. In my view, this represents very poor value for customers. It felt as though the costs could continue to increase without any certainty about the outcome.
What was particularly disappointing was that the only response I received was, "We can only apologise." Unfortunately, an apology does little to justify being asked to pay hundreds of pounds simply to investigate a fault further.
To make matters worse, a friend later looked at the issue and found that it was a relatively simple problem that could be fixed easily.
The customer service experience was equally disappointing. The lady on the reception desk appeared to have very little knowledge of the situation and was unable to answer even basic questions. Communication throughout the process was poor, and I felt largely ignored. When I was speaking to her, she would not even make eye contact, which came across as dismissive and disrespectful. Rather than listening to my concerns or trying to help, she seemed uninterested in assisting me at all.
Knowing that I was taking my car to a Hyundai dealership in Colne, I expected the fault to be dealt with properly and without unnecessary complications. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, out of pocket, and no closer to a clear solution.
I appreciate that modern vehicle diagnostics can be complex and time-consuming, but charging such significant amounts for investigation alone, without providing a clear path to a solution, is not the level of customer service I expected. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership.
Poor treatment
I have now gone elsewhere to buy a car, after buying Hyundais for 35 years. Very poor sales, got me there promising to change my car like for like, after a 45 minute trip, told I was not eligible yet. Emails sent, not replied to by manager. Very badly treated by West Riding Bolton, lesson learnt, gone elsewhere.

⚠️ WARNING: West Riding Hyundai Bolton sold me a dangerous car - brake failure with my children inside ⚠️
I need to share this because no family should go through what we did.
I bought a 2025 Hyundai Tucson (EK25 UDV) from West Ridings Bolton on 24 November 2025. Within just THREE DAYS, I reported a loud humming noise. It turned out to be a gearbox fault - and shockingly, it wasn’t replaced until January 2026.
But that was only the beginning.
In March 2026, the terrifying moment happened. I was driving with my children when the brakes FAILED. Every other time I pressed the pedal, the car actually accelerated. The brake pedal felt soft and unreliable. I narrowly avoided a collision.
I can’t put into words the fear of that moment, looking at my children and realising the car wasn’t stopping.
On 1 April 2026, the AA escorted me to Evans Halshaw Hyundai in Warrington as West Riding Bolton was not accepting AA recoveries. The car sat there for NINE DAYS before anyone even looked at it. No updates. No communication. Their phone system didn’t even work properly.
I was told it could take weeks or months before they even assessed it.
Desperate, I took the car back to West Ridings Bolton and demanded they take responsibility under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Instead, I was pressured into allowing repairs or risk being left without a vehicle.
They replaced the brake servo and claimed it was fixed.
IT WAS NOT.
The same dangerous fault - intermittent acceleration when braking - is STILL happening.
On 7 May 2026, the same day I collected the car after being told it was repaired, I reported the issue AGAIN to Hyundai UK and the dealership.
The car remains unsafe and undriveable.
This is a ONE-YEAR-OLD vehicle with around 19,000 miles. This should never happen.
Current situation:
-West Riding Bolton is ignoring the timescales and not taking the faulty vehicle back under Consumer Rights Act 2015
-Finance company is investigating
-DVSA has been notified
-Hyundai UK refuses to take responsibility and says it’s “a dealership issue”
-I am still paying £497 per month for a car I cannot safely drive
-I am shaken, angry, and deeply concerned that this could happen to someone else.

I found the whole process very refreshing. She explained everything cleanly about the technical side of things and gave me a competitive deal, But most importantly, it took me a month to make up my mind on buying,and Alison never called me once so no hard selling or chasing me up. Checked in and out with Katie Williamson who was very friendly and answered all my questions, filling me with reassurance.
My car got cleaned at the end of the service, and I also appreciate the technician videos showing my vehicle in the workshop! Nice touch.

After sales on the sale of a second hand vehicle is non existent. Was missold a vehicle on the pretence that it had a full service history. It doesn’t. It’s been in the garage every month since the sale for a related fault but never rectified and the warranty they include is always looking for ways to not pay out. Currently going through the legal process with them as they have rejected the complaint

Shambles
Parking there cars outside residents houses leaving them there for weeks at a time when they have there own compound to park in .. there is not sufficient space in this area for residents to park let alone a garage .. the residents will be applying for residents parking only due to Hyundai colne
