How can it take almost 2 weeks on a service plan to get a technician out?! When he arrived he seemed bored. Have we not got beyond morning or afternoon slots yet? On plus side was phone 30 mins before... See more

I am disappointed with how my case has been handled regarding a Whirlpool induction hob purchased in April 2023.
After approximately 2.5 years of normal household use, the appliance stopped working due to an internal issue.
What stands out in this experience is not only the defect itself, but the complete lack of engagement with the problem. Over several months of communication, no questions were asked about the nature of the failure, no attempt was made to understand the cause, and no technical interest was shown.
All responses were limited to repeating that the warranty period had expired, without addressing the specific situation or the fact that the product failed relatively early.
I proposed a reasonable and cooperative solution, offering to cover the repair costs myself if the replacement component could be provided. This proposal was not addressed.
From a customer perspective, it is difficult to understand this approach, especially when it concerns a key internal component in a relatively young appliance. It also raises questions about sustainability. As consumers, we are encouraged to choose durable products and reduce waste, yet situations like this do not seem aligned with those expectations.
I expected more in terms of product responsibility, customer care, and a genuine interest in understanding product failures.

After a calamitous experience booking repairs for two appliances I emailed Senior Managers at Domestic and General (repair insurance) and Whirlpool.
D&G responded swiftly and have attempted to placate me.
James Goldsmith and Lena Henry of Whirlpool appear to be disinterested in acknowledging a customer.
If "Feedback is the breakfast of Champions" it seems James and Lena prefer dining out.

Great online booking system , first time fix, well worth the small amount payed each month

Absolutely disgusting 🤮 cancelled three weeks in a row, didn’t complete the transfer of money, locked in from the first booking as had to pay £250 no refund. So still waiting , nearly 6 weeks. No help whatsoever. Do not trust,

my whirpool microwave got a crack in the bottom ceramic plate. Engineer came to have a look and ripped it up then said it can't be fixed and it's out of warranty.. I could use the microwave before.. now I cant!!
Whirpool said the only way to complain is to write a letter. No email, can't speak to a manager, can't complain online. DISGRACEFUL COMPANY I WONT BE USING EVER AGAIN

Whirlpool and Hotpoint are the most incompetent engineering company. AVOID buying their products.

Easy to contact, Engineer arrived on time & was polite and efficient. However one star deducted as the wait time for the repair was far too long!

A follow up to my previous comments re poor service and customers services. The day after we had no luck with a service engineer and subsequent calls to "help" centre I again phoned the call centre. After going through the push button game and the scripted questions again the call centre was not able to re book a service engineer (!) and referred me to an internet link even though I explained that I had tried and it does not work if you have an open repair on the system. I then tried whirlpools "helpline". This is push button only and it is impossible to speak to a human being - I tried a few times but eventually it tells you to hang up..... and if you dont it does it for you. It kept sending links the same "book a service" link that we could not useI Eventually it was suggested I contact the sales department - a human always answer (!) and they did. After explaining the story yet again we were put in to contact with a person who offered to book the next available date - in a weeks time! Not good enough. After some persuasion the call handler did find a date some 3 days hence....hooray. It should not be so difficult to correct the non attendance of an engineer. In fact Whirlpool should have contacted me and arranged a quick re-booking date - that would have been customer service.

What are Lacey company? They really are had a delivery arranged for today they said the backboard of my cupboard was in the way of where they needed to fit the pipe so I’ve remove that for them myself when they’re gone. Phone back as soon as it occurred to arrange a delivery only to be told I’d have to phone back tomorrow and I’d have to wait a minimum of five days to have my new washing machine…. If I could give them a zero star rating then I would of done
