I am writing this to highlight a deeply disappointing service cycle following my recent purchase of a Whirlpool refrigerator from Croma. While the sales process was smooth, the after-sales support and product quality control have been significantly below expectations.
Timeline of Events:
Sunday: Purchased the unit from Croma.
Tuesday: Delivery arrived.
Thursday: The installation engineer arrived (a further 2-day wait after delivery).
The Issue:
Upon unboxing and inspection during installation, I noticed visible scratches on the microfilm coating. This is clearly a manufacturing-level defect and not something caused by external handling after delivery.
Resolution & Service Failure:
When I raised this concern, both the Croma store team and the Whirlpool installation engineer informed me that they would not replace the unit for a "cosmetic" issue of this nature. Furthermore, I was told that even if a replacement were approved:
It would take an additional 15 days to process.
There was no guarantee that the new unit wouldn't have similar defects.
Final Thoughts:
It is disheartening to invest in a premium home appliance only to be met with a defective finish and a "deal with it" attitude from both the retailer and the manufacturer. Expecting a customer to wait over two weeks for a replacement—with the risk of receiving another damaged unit—is not the level of service one expects from established brands like Whirlpool and Croma.

My washing machine issue was reported on 28th April while the product is still under warranty, yet the problem remains unresolved due to constant delays, poor coordination, and false commitments from both the service team and customer care. I was repeatedly given new dates for part replacement, only to face further postponements each time without any proactive communication.
The biggest frustration has been the complete lack of accountability and urgency for an essential household appliance. Customer support has been highly inefficient, responses are delayed, and the overall service process has been exhausting and stressful. For a brand like Whirlpool, this level of after-sales service is unacceptable. Customers expect timely solutions, transparent communication, and reliable support—not endless follow-ups and broken promises.

However, since then, no one has contacted me. I have been trying to call the technician and helpline number since morning, but there has been no proper response. I was told that I would receive a call before 1 PM, but no one has contacted me so far.
It has now been almost 10 days since I first raised the request, and my washing machine is still not working. This delay and lack of communication are extremely frustrating and unacceptable. I am very dissatisfied with the service provided so far.
